People: Jennifer Garner & her boyfriend are the ‘most connected they’ve ever been’

Earlier this year, Ben Affleck packed on the PDA with Jennifer Garner at their son’s birthday party. After that, sources close to Ben started randomly leaking that he was down with getting back together with Jen. It didn’t really come out of nowhere; Ben always tends to lean into a Garner-heavy narrative whenever he’s feeling insecure or needs attention. Clearly, he wanted a reaction from Jennifer Lopez at the time. To her credit, J.Lo held off for weeks before responding with what equated to a giant eye-roll.

During those intermediary weeks, old Ben was trying to make a Bennifer 2.0 reunion storyline happen, but no one was buying it. Jen G’s team made it abundantly clear that she was not interested. It got to the point where we started getting stories about how Jen’s longtime boyfriend, John Miller, thought it was disrespectful. John and Jen have been quietly dating since 2018, and reportedly, he’s a chill dude who is very tolerant of his girlfriend’s melodramatic ex-husband. Things are going really well between Jen and John. In fact, they are apparently “better than ever” and are “the most solid and connected they’ve ever been.”

Things between Jennifer Garner and longtime boyfriend John Miller are “better than ever,” a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The 13 Going on 30 actress and Miller — who have quietly dated on and off since 2018 — “hit a stride as a couple and those who know them say this is the most solid and connected they’ve ever been.”

Garner, 53, shares three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck, 52. The former couple was married for 10 years, from 2005 until 2015. The exes have long prioritized a healthy co-parenting relationship, which is something Miller — a businessman who is best known as the chairman of a technology company called CaliGroup, which owns the CaliBurger restaurant chain — fully supports.

According to the source, “John has also embraced Jen’s family life. He’s been patient, supportive and deeply respectful of her dynamic with Ben and the kids.”

I’m really happy for Jen and John. It sounds like they have learned how to ignore the outside noise and enjoy each other’s company. John must be a saint for putting up with all of the drama that Ben brings to the table. I always find it fascinating that despite that drama, Jen and John manage to fly under the radar. It’s also kinda crazy that after eight years, we still don’t even know how they met. News outlets have respected John’s privacy so much that we never even hear about his kids with his ex-wife. Fun fact: Reportedly, he also has a daughter named Violet. I have no idea if they’ll ever get married, but it definitely feels like they’re in it for the long haul. I respect their privacy, but I would love to get to learn more about their relationship one day, beyond these little “Hey, they’re still happily together!” updates.

She deserves happiness, peace and love.

JG seems very happy with John! I think they try really hard to keep their relationship private. The media lets John alone because he is not a celebrity. I don’t think John is comfortable with the media. I think the MEDIA stirs up all this Ben & Jen relationship stuff! Let’s face it…how many times have they reported that JG was pregnant! Ben & Jen seem to spend time separately with their children but they also spend time as a family. This arrangement does not work for every family, but seems to be working for them & their children. It would be very hard for me to be friends with my children’s father after he slept with their nanny(even if I was separated at the
    time)
What is interesting is that neither John nor JG have been papped with each other’s children?
