From where I sit, something really shifted on September 4th, which is when the Prince and Princess of Wales stepped out for an event at the Natural History Museum in London. Kate debuted a terrible blonde wig and she and William showed zero concern for the children they had shipped into the museum’s garden when it started raining really hard. The event was a complete disaster for Will and Kate, and the only reason they even stepped out then was because they were trying to be visible and working ahead of Prince Harry’s four-day visit. That rainy day was the beginning of the end – William and Kate looked absolutely pitiful as they tried to throw themselves in front of the cameras and distract from Harry’s visit last week. They still look pitiful, especially William. As predicted, William’s rage-briefings began as Harry’s visit to the UK came to a close. Everyone got a call, it was like the deranger Avengers assembling to act as stenographers to William’s incandescent BS. Katie Nicholl published her VF piece on Friday. Charlotte Griffiths got a major exclusive for the Mail on Sunday. And of course Roya Nikkhah at the Times dutifully reports whatever the Other Brother shrieks at her. Griffiths’ piece in the Mail was the big one though, and it really paints a picture of a spiteful, jealous and pitiful heir whose childish rage-attacks are worrying aides.
Prince William has ‘doubled down’ on his resolve to cut Prince Harry out of his life, in the wake of his brother’s Clarence House rapprochement with the King. It’s been exactly a year since the Sussexes launched ‘Operation Bring Harry Back In From The Cold’ – and while the Duke’s 12-month strategy has come to fruition with his father, he is no closer to contact with his brother.
Indeed, Harry’s success in the UK last week means the future King is burning with a renewed determination to rid the monarchy of the Sussexes for good.‘William is back at the point where if you mention Prince Harry in his presence he would throw you out of the room,’ one well-placed insider admitted. ‘He’s doubling down.’
The Princess of Wales agreed to attend a Women’s Institute meeting in Berkshire with her husband on Monday at the last minute, prompting some to suggest William hoped a glamorous appearance from his wife would blow Harry off the front pages. Harry countered the move with a £1.1million pledge to Children in Need – crass to cite the amount, perhaps, but effective. A day later, Harry met his father at Clarence House for the first time in 18 months. Harry’s breathless schedule during his week-long presence in the UK, followed by a trip to Kyiv, provided some healthy competition for William.
Charles may well welcome having Harry nipping at his brother’s heels, for it could prompt the Prince and Princess of Wales to ‘up their game’ by carrying out more of those small-scale events we saw last week – the type that they would prefer not to do but which are essential to the public’s perception of the monarchy. Without the future King and Queen doing the rounds, it falls to Charles to pick up most of the slack and it has been noted that, despite his battle with cancer, he carried out official engagements on 175 days during the past 12 months. Over the same period, Prince William clocked up 68 fewer engagements.
‘William is more determined than ever to cut Harry off altogether,’ adds the source. ‘It infuriates William that Harry has pulled off a 12-month “master plan” to re-ingratiate himself.’
The pair have long had a tempestuous relationship, not least in the run-up to ‘Megxit’ when, in 2019, the brothers came to blows in Nottingham Cottage, in the grounds of Kensington Palace, and Harry ended up shoved to the floor, cracking a dog bowl.
Palace aides are said to be anxious that William’s ‘doubling down’ mentality marks a setback for him personally.
‘For some time now William’s anger had cooled to the point of indifference over his brother, which was healthy for his mental wellbeing,’ adds another source. ‘William had got to the stage where Harry was a “non-person”, he had fallen so far beneath his radar as to have disappeared from his mind altogether. It can’t be good that William has gone back to the point where he would throw someone out at the very mention of Harry’s name.’
The phrase ‘non-person’ was coined by the Queen Mother to refer to people whose name cannot be mentioned by friends or aides in her presence – like that of her brother-in-law Edward VIII whose abdication forced her and her husband (who became George VI) to become King and Queen. With Harry a ‘non-person’, safely 5,000 miles away in California, people around William felt no need to bring up Harry’s name. All that was shattered by the appearance last week. The source added: ‘Now Harry is back – back in the UK, back at Clarence House, back in touch with his father and back into the subject line of emails.’
Another source said: ‘William originally went through all the stages of grief over his brother. When they first fell out he went to Balmoral and went off his food. Just before the Oprah chat screened, he wept. Then he turned to anger and when that stage was over, he simply compartmentalised it all and moved on. He never expected to be regularly in the same postcode as his brother again, like he was last week.’
Doesn’t it feel like the wheels are coming off? I can’t believe they’re saying some of this stuff openly. Last week became the point where this tabloid-and-palace-created image of “Angry Harry is sad and lonely” blew up in a million pieces. They can’t scream about how all of their emotional-support polls show that Harry is terribly unpopular, they can’t argue that Britain doesn’t want Harry back. British people were thrilled to see him, and his “tour” went spectacularly well. It reminded everyone of one of the biggest reasons why William and Kate did everything they could to push the Sussexes out and then copy/colonize everything they did, wore and said.

This is an extraordinary piece. Even as he was grieving the loss of a brother relationship (not that uncommon), it’s amazing they went to these lengths to describe his stages of grief! Grief of other public figures isnt shared liked this. Intrusion? Because it affects his “job”? Because it’s so much more than just quiet grief? I don’t know what to think about it.

William is setting a terrible example for his children and depriving them of an aunt, uncle and two first cousins. It’s not like Charles had a zillion kids. Just Harry and William. All of the children, including Harry’s, will always be curious and wonder what it would have been like to grow up together.
We have a contentious family, but when a close relative is dying, we try to make those last months as pleasant as possible, share memories, mend things if possible, and do whatever we can. The Windsors didn’t have a chance to do that with Diana. They do with Charles.

It’s an expression, yes, but it also means he literally stopped eating for a period of time. Now, was he unable to eat because of grief, anxiety, or guilt???
I’ve always heard it as “off his feed” – as when a horse or farm animal is unwell and stops eating. But as an idiom, I’ve heard it used as “not feeling quite right,” feeling depressed or dejected, and accompanied by loss of appetite.

Willi treating Harry as a “non-person” is not healthy. It indicates that Willi has not be able to deal with the fall-out of Harry and Meghan leaving the Monarchy and Harry choosing Meghan over him.

@Ash Harry himself said that the royal family plan was to push out Meghan. They did not expect for Harry to leave with her. Harry chose his own family over the Monarchy. Then the royal family unleashed their attack dogs of the British media on Harry and Meghan to destroy them to force Harry and Meghan back broken into the royal fold. This plan did not work. The BM tried to manipulate the public opinion against Harry and Meghan. This did not work. More and more people see through the manipulation by the BM and more people turned up to his events than they did to Willi’s. No, it did not go to plan for Willi and Charles. They probably were surprised that their plan failed.
This is all Willi’s doing. Willi as not faced up to the uncomfortable truth of his own doing, his responsibility in what has happened and taking accountability.
There is another piece by Tom Sykes. i am not sure if Kaiser will cover it. At the end he says that for Willi it is a “zero-sum game. Harry’s win is his loss.” It tells you all what you need to know about Willi’s state of mind.
Harry is claiming back his space in the UK and rightly so. Imo Harry’s message to Willi is “I am here if you like it or not. I am not going anywhere.” He knows the important role of him shining a light on important causes.
This is the beginning of the end for certain. William is falling apart and not quietly or privately, but he’s letting it all hang out. Would not be surprised to hear that his health takes a serious nosedive in the coming weeks.

Because I’m assuming there were multiple days in which Charles did more than one engagements. And so the comparison would be worse for W if they actually counted engagements for both..

This is what I was wondering to. He hasn’t talked or communicated in any way with Harry, at least as far as we know, since the Coronation – possibly not even then. So what else does he have to do, or I guess, not do, to qualify as cutting Harry off?

It’s clear Will is not mentally well. I have always believed the main reason Harry got Meghan and Archie out was Will. Harry wants a relationship with his father but never mentions his brother……for a reason.

I hope, for the children’s sake, that the Waleses are typical aristo parents in that they don’t spend much actual time with their kids. The toxicity that both Cain and Unable allow to be shown seems like the tip of a malignant iceberg. The British royal family is a toxic institution. Only a deranged person could look at it now and find it aspirational.
That kind of hate is a mental health issue as justly mentioned in the article. Willie doesn’t seem to realize (1) that he has cut his brother from his life but (2) he has no control on Harry’s movements, charities and perception of the public. Clearly, Willie have no vision and his biggest problem is that he can’t recognize that fact. The day he does, maybe then he will find the tools and people to help him become a moderate good king which I believe is the best he can achieve.

I just dismissed it, I think it was made up by a journalist, not doing what they are supposed to do, just report the news, not invent it.
You have to accept that 99% of things attributed to H and M are lies. Sadly, this is a concept many struggle with. I guess people still believe there must be some truth. There’s not. This is exactly the kind of visits and work he’s always done. Nothing has changed – except peg has completely lost his mind and everyone is freaking out.. I’m not a doctor but I do have a close family member with mental health issues. This looks like it calls for medical intervention. Self medication through alcohol or drugs is common otherwise. So is self harm. Or harming others. It looks bad the way the press describes things. Also, the press must have forgotten all the articles they wrote about William wanting to “exile” Harry and Meghan to “Africa”. Harry wouldn’t have been around then to “help” William then so what is the problem now? Did William think he would have forbidden Harry to ever leave the continent or that there are no phones or internet or airports in “Africa”? William’s jealousy has become psychotic. This whole situation is sick and they are giving the Thump administration a real run for their money in terms of lunacy. Thank god William doesn’t have access to any nuclear codes.

It sounds very much as though William was SCARED sh*tless at WHAT might come out in that Oprah interview. As many have said, there is a LOT more that Harry could have said and written, and there is WAY MORE THAN A LOT MORE that Meghan could say, not just about the royals in general, but specifically about William. This anger and perpetual lashing out has to do with his lack of control, yes, his jealousy, yes, but ALSO about the fact that he FEARS that H+M could let loose some of the details which they have held back about him and Kate. But especially about HIM. He has been shitting himself ever since it became clear that his collaboration with the media (using his henchman Jason Knauf) and with Charles and their combined staff to break M and by extension Harry, failed spectacularly.
And I love that for him. May he stew in his guilty juices in perpetuity. He nearly cost M and his brother’s first child their lives and succeeded in costing them their second unborn child. I suspect that whatever he did above that is WAY worse than people could imagine. And I doubt it would be the first time. And there are several reporters who know this – and his history – in gory detail.

No snark, William needs serious professional help. There’s nothing to be ashamed of in that, Harry also obviously needed professional help. And you can see how incredibly beneficial that has been for him on the other side. It’s becoming very clear though that despite how much we criticize them, there are some clear-eyed people working at Kensington Palace who realizes that their principles are not in good shape. And with their own personal Rasputin coming back this year to be more than informal advisor I think the wheels are coming off even faster.
Someone in the background is telling them that these horrible decisions, and their paranoid and churlish behavior is okay. They are reassuring William and Kate that their laziness is justified, that their media narratives don’t make them both look frankly unhinged. I don’t really track in the conspiracy theories, but it’s very clear that whatever William is afraid of getting out if Harry ever decides to go torched Earth, Jason Knauf has a lot to lose too. And I don’t just mean reputational. It’s getting to the point where I feel like there may be some legality issues there. All I’m saying is we’ll look back on 2018 to 2024 in 10 or 15 years and be astounded on what really was happening then.
William is not well if he can’t keep it together for a few days while his brother is in the UK. Does he think when he’s king he can ban his brother from coming to the UK altogether? I don’t think it falls to him to refuse him security? Just keep silent and pretend to work. He doesn’t even have to talk to him or be in the same vicinity as him. The media will talk about Harry for a few days and then Harry will go home and then it’s back to business as usual. The fact he loses his ever loving mind every time Harry comes back to the UK means he is not over losing his brother, yet Harry has clearly moved on and is thriving. I think that’s what may hurt William the most. He wants Harry to be as miserable as him but he’s not.
The most interesting point to me was the admitting that peg and lazy hate doing typical (and very easy) royal engagements and only did them because Harry was there. This has happened for many years but it’s the first time the rota said it. And it’s a huge deal. Fascinating. Other than that, them talking about pegs mental health was curious.
Didn’t the press say that everything in Spare was a lie? So how are they now giving credence to the story that William attacked Harry (they didn’t come blows)? There is a reference in the today’s article to palace aides worried about Will ‘s mental health. I am intrigued by how Will rage briefing occurs? Does a senior courtier or Jason speak directly to RR or is it filtered down as regular WhatsApp messages as stated by Peter Hunt ? Are they expecting Will to read and mark their homework because surely FK won’t approve any suggestion that his own aides think that he’s lost the plot over Harry? As in how does briefing work: does Will have to sign off suitable quotes or does his minions just wing it after listening to the Incredible Sulk rage at length about whatever is upsetting him at that particular moment in time? Sort of like, today Will is mostly angry about Aston Villa ‘s recent form plus being totally upstaged by his younger brother again?
William is one heartbeat away from the Crown and these articles make him look like a hot unstable mess. If Parliament has a mechanism in place to remove an heir(ess) to the throne on grounds of unfit for current and future office, the time to break glass is now because the case for the emergency is here.
Parliament does have a mechanism for changing the succession. There are certain Ministers of State/Judiciary/Church who have a responsibility with regard to the monarchy. Fundamental principles include a Constitutional Monarch subject to the rule of Parliament ( not an Absolute Monarch) , a communicant member of the Church of England and what might be summarised as physical, mental and moral fitness.
Parliamentary supremacy is included in the National Anthem when we sing ‘May he defend our laws and ever give us cause to sing with heart and voice God Save the King’. It’s our laws, not his laws. The King’s power is power held in trust for the people. Not personal power over the people. Elizabeth II understood this very well. It’s a safeguard against dictatorship.
Historically the constitutional monarchy began with Charles II after the brief Republic under Oliver Cromwell. It was actively enforced when James II was deposed, his son removed from the succession and his daughter Mary invited to take the throne and rule alongside her husband William of Orange who also had a claim to the throne. More recently, following the abdication of Edward VIII there was concern that the next in line, the Duke of York might not be able to fulfil the role because of his nervous stammer. His two younger brothers were considered but rejected on moral grounds (one was bisexual and the other known to have mistresses).
William is probably a cause of concern to those responsible for the succession. There may be discreet discussions taking place about moving the succession to someone more suitable. In many ways Harry would be the best choice but this could be too controversial. IMO the moving the Succession to Prince Edward, with his daughter moved to next in line ahead of her brother, would be the best solution.
George would be next in line.

@QuiteContrary I am wondering whether Will had a breakdown in February 24 when he was asked to step up to provide cover for the King. He maybe collapsed because Tina Brown wrote of sources saying he froze from sheer panic at the news of KC’s cancer. He’s been limping every since looking physically diminished and with frequent holidays and a much reduced workload. Not sure how you can disguise that when he’s King? Really therapy is the only healthy way forward to sort himself out.
I think about that too. And I think TB said William and Kate both froze from sheer panic and stress at the idea of…doing their jobs. She said she thought Kate or the Wales were going to need to say something publicly. That was when was “missing” and it was right before Kate released her black and white striped-top moment on a bench where she talked about finding cancerous cells and doing pre-emptive therapy or something like that.
I think they keep writing stuff like this because royalist love it. They think it makes William look strong and a good husband and pushes their hate towards Harry and Meghan more. What they did to poor William and saint Kate that he couldn’t even eat. He’s protecting his wife from evil harry and can’t stand hearing his name. It also is a cover for harry not coming back. They say he wants to, but he doesn’t so when he doesn’t, it’s big strong William who stopped him. To a normal person, he sounds unwell, to them he’s strong and a loving husband with all the weight of the world on his shoulders. Reading royalist tweets is wild. Also, if anything happens to William mentally they can blame Harry and Meghan, like they are with Kate’s cancer cells.
I have to smile to myself whenever all this gets regurgitated. What’s the worst William can do? Take away useless titles? Harry and Meghan are already known as HARRY AND MEGHAN! Titles or no titles. The truth is I doubt Harry spends any time thinking about William but William spends all his time thinking about Harry!

There is no one in the palace machinery that seems to recognize William’s mental health crisis. It’s this lack of awareness that will diminish the monarchy even more than what Charles’s failure to shore it up.
So Harry met with Charles this past week, the press says it “went well,” and we’re suddenly getting leaks about “bridging gaps” and “special occasions.” To me, this feels less like gossip and more like the Palace floating test balloons.
If they have any sense, they’d start lining this up now — regardless of how William feels — because Charles’s health seems fragile, William’s public workload is light and there are rumors he’s struggling, and the monarchy can’t look half-staffed if Charles passes and William needs time off.
Bringing Harry back in a limited, ceremonial way — Trooping, Remembrance Sunday, big state events — could fill the gap, keep the monarchy visible, and give William space to get whatever help he needs. It doesn’t even mean Harry and Meghan move back full-time; they can stay in California, do their charity work, and just show up a few times a year.
Honestly, this might be the smartest play: it protects the monarchy’s stability, gives William breathing room, and lets Harry rehab his public image as “duty first.” If the coronation ends up delayed 18–24 months, imagine the optics of a united front with all the senior royals, including Harry, there to support the King.

I mean this is what they should have done from the beginning. It’s too late I think personally. Harry and Meghan don’t need the monarchy. The monarchy needs them but that’s not their problem anymore.
It certainly looks like something is being set up. I’m guessing the framework for the Invictus Games. Of course, Harry will be there and some representative from the UK government, but it will look strange if Meghan isn’t and embarrassing if Charles isn’t (or some other member of the RF).
I pray there is no truth to the rumor that William is behind the move to force Harry out of the Invictus Games.
Sorry, this ‘monarchy before all’ scenario is very disrespectful to Prince Harry, Meghan, and their family & life choices. They have goals for themself set, professional obligations in the US, and have worked hard to build a new life, after they were rejected almost six years ago.
A (renewed) roll in the monarchy is not on the table anymore. Harry just wants to be part of the royal family, not part of the institution of the monarchy. He said it twice in recent years. He never rejected his birth country, but his happy home and life are now where his family is, in America. He just wants to be able to travel to the UK for family, friends and work (charities ,etc.) related visits.
People should start to listen, and respect Harry (and Meghan) for once.
Thank you Advisor2U, I quite agree. That ship has sailed. Harry does not want to be a working royal. He has said that often enough. Supporting his father does not, and should not, be interpreted as “taking on royal duties” and certainly not to “give breathing room” to William, the man with all the royal perks and who sent his henchman to court to LIE in support of a tabloid and cause his wife to miscarry.
The monarchy made its bed and it trumpeted its cruelty to Harry and Meghan and their children loud and clear for the world to hear. Good grief, that family even signalled to foreign countries NOT to protect them, after having pulled their security and announced their location to the world when they were at their most vulnerable.
Harry said, yet again (in the recent Guardian piece), there can be NO reconciliation without TRUTH. Can you see him making nice for the cameras while the family continues to vilify his wife and children and pretend that they are the real victims in all of this? His duty is to his immediate family. His wife and children. He has several jobs. And staff, both at home and across several (international) organisations.
We need to listen to Harry’s words, and respect them.
I don’t think they would admit they made a mistake that they kicked out 2 of their best assets that would have helped revive the monarchy. They didn’t think HM would be successful without them. Actions speak louder than words, they been very successful with their business ventures in the U.S.(out of all places) and able to connect to most of the world. The BM and the BRF loss big time.

It’s fascinating how Griffiths openly and unabashedly writes that William and Kate were dragged out to do “those small-scale events we saw last week – the type that they would prefer not to do but which are essential to the public’s perception of the monarchy.” I mean, William’s been briefing for a few years now that his “modern monarchy” will involve fewer outings to eat brownies with seniors, and more of what William thinks are his impactful (lol) signature projects like Invictus and homelessness. What’s different now is how Griffiths is stating this so bluntly.
So. William doesn’t *just* hate his brother and sister-in-law for being charismatic, American, and whatever else. William also hates that he’s being dragged away from the Aston chatroom to chat with senior citizens. And maybe he’ll have to reach into his pockets for a donation comparable to Harry’s. And maybe even take an overseas global statesman trip. The humanity! It’s all one big ball of black hate.

Not necessarily. If, following the abdication of Edward VIII, the Duke of York had been passed over in favour of one of his younger brothers then the children of the Duke of York , Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret would have been displaced by the children of that youngerbrother. If the Duke of Gloucester had been considered suitable then his elder son would become next in line of succession. If circumstances had then followed what actually happened with the death of the elder son in a plane crash a few weeks after the wedding of his younger brother we would have had King Richard on the throne for the last 50 years with Queen Birgitte as his Consort.
At the time the duchess of York later queen elizabeth could theoretically have had more children and a sin would have displaced princess elizabeth. The duke and duchess of gloucester did not have children until the forties. The duchess had several miscarriages. The duke of kent did have a son and daughter at the time of the abdication

I’m sorry, but I don’t believe a word these “journalists” say. They always work against humanity, no matter who or what they write about. What I see in videos is that the Welsh never seem happy, cheerful or enthusiastic about their subjects. Whether that’s arrogance, a sense of being hostages or personal pain – only these two people know. These journalists have mastered the art of cross-party agitation. The royalists can get worked up about nasty Harry, and the rest of us can get worked up about the nasty smears and lies in the articles. These texts are pure incitement.
These people have lied too often, acted rashly. All without evidence. And the sources? In my opinion, they are either made up or paid for.
