Anne Hathaway wore a cloud-like Lever Couture to the NYC ‘Mother Mary’ screening

If Anne Hathaway wasn’t busy enough with the worldwide promo tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2, she’s also promoting Mother Mary this month. I mean, I’m sure that they decided to release this art film around the same time, so Anne would just have a block of time to devote to promotional appearances.

Last night, there was a big screening/premiere for Mother Mary in NYC. Anne wore this unique couture gown by Lever Couture. I’m intrigued, honestly. Anne usually goes for well-known designers and houses, with Valentino being her biggest go-to for major events. But Mother Mary has her playing a Lady Gaga-esque pop star, so I guess the idea is that Anne is wearing more avant-garde looks throughout. I’m okay with this Lever Couture from the front, but from the side, this piece is utterly bizarre. Anne’s wearing a hairpiece too, right? If that’s all her actual hair, that’s crazy.

It looks like the review-embargo on Mother Mary was lifted today and I just skimmed the Hollywood Reporter’s review. They pretty much say what I suspected, that this is mostly a two-hour long music video with little in the way of interesting plot.

PS… Also including Anne’s after-party look, the black dress.

I like it from the front, but you’re right about the side view. Though, i do think it’s better than anything worn to Prada2 events (so far).

ETA: the hair is ridiculous. It looks fake.

Anne Hathaway looks like an angel dressed in a cloud. Love all the Level Couture dresses made with loops and sworls of color. Especially like their Love Letter to Ukraine project!

LOVE the material of the cloud dress. Sooo ethereal and beautiful. But I don’t like the design… sorry.

Oh, I love both of these looks — the black dress is my favorite of the two though
