Here’s a little throwaway story that gives me hope for Hollywood couples, and couples in general. Mark Consuelos has been married to Kelly Ripa for 20 years, starting just a year after they met on the set of All My Children in 1995. They were comparatively young at the time too, as Mark and Kelly are both now 45. (You wouldn’t know it considering how great they look.) In an appearance on Watch What Happens Live Mark told Andy Cohen that he’s still crazy about Kelly. He went on about it enough that it sounds genuine and not like some line he feeds the press. I guess you never know with these actors considering all we’ve seen lately, but I want to believe. Here’s what Mark said and you can see the video below. (It might be restricted to US visitors. If so I’m sorry about that!)

Mark: Oh gosh it’s so sad. Isn’t that sad? I don’t know, we really dig each other. I’m crazy about her.You guys have been together

Andy Cohen knows that Kelly and Mark have sex a lot because Kelly told him about it on his show. She said “the more you do it, the more you do it. The less you do it, the less you do it.” Kelly also has some antiquated ideas about relationships and says that Mark is in charge and that she worships him. He’s also said that he would be happy to be back in the 1950s with traditional gender roles, but it seems to work for them and they both seem to be on board with it.
E! has a story with the title “Here’s How Neil Patrick Harris Feels About Co-Hosting Live! With Kelly Ripa Full-Time.” This got me excited that Kelly had made her choice for a cohost and that NPH was on board. It’s really just a question that E! posed to Neil about whether he would be up for the job and no decision has been made yet. Neil sounded like he wasn’t sure about it. He said he already has a job on a Netflix series, “that’ll happen in January and that takes up well over half my year.” He added that the hours make it “a nice gig, but I wouldn’t want to do it all year long.” So either that’s a negotiation tactic or NPH doesn’t want the job, which is too bad.
These two are so good looking together right?

I think this is kind of sweet. Twenty years is a long time, they must be doing something right. Good for them.
They do seem to genuinely like each other which I think is extremely important, it’s easy to love the other person but without liking the person I don’t think a relationship can thrive.
They look adorable together. Kelly is so right about banging, the more you do it the more you do it and the less you do it the less you do it. Been with my hubs for 16 years now and I worship the ground he walks on, he seems banans over me too and we bang A LOT despite having a bunch of kids. So I understand these two.
What I don’t understand is why Celebitchy would lose hope about marriage in Hollywood now when Hollywood marriage almost never lasts and haven’t for the entire history of the industry? Lieve and Naomi’s split was not a shock, he cheated on her a few years ago and they split for a time if I recall correctly before trying again so their divorce was a long time coming. Takes a lot to stay married when the trust has been broken. As for Brangelina, neither party has historically had a lot of staying power in their relationships so that they lasted for 12 years is the surprising part. And when they finally got married two years ago the heat seemed to already have gone out of their relationship, they spent their honeymoon working on another of Angelinas box office bombs.
I believe what Mark says: look at that picture staring at her adorably. Being 20 years together and still going crazy ab e other is wonderful. Body language is undeniable. I certainly hope it last forever. đŸ’–
I’ve seen Kelly and Mark together at Soul Cycle. They seem like a genuine couple. They were talking and laughing together in the shared locker room which makes me feel like it’s the real deal. Oh, and she’s TINY!!!
I love them together!! I lost respect for her after that whole Michael thing happened, but I like them as a couple & I hope they last!!

@QQ, I’m pretty sure I read a blind item that pointed a neon blinking sign at an affair between Mark and Jessica Seinfeld (Jerry’s wife). Jessica, Jerry, Kelly and Mark were long-time besties and made regular appearances on each others’ social media and then the blind came out and POOF! Radio silence. I kept thinking Jessica would take to Instagram to defend Kelly during the Live! shakeup (like she would have done for her other BFF Goop) but again, crickets. Hmmm…

@QQ….Why does the notion of them having threesomes make you CACKLE? You’re making a highly uneducated guess about their sex life to begin with, but they are consenting adults and if it works for them–who cares?? I’ve been in a 20 year relationship too, and it really helps just to communicate and get creative..even if it’s just talking about crazy stuff and never doing it..just sharing fantasies can be fun and spice things up. A sex life isn’t going to run itself. It takes two to work on it so both people are fulfilled, happy, and comfortable.
Or you can just be judgmental and CACKLE instead at what other people may (or may not) be doing. I know what I would find more fun, but to each their own. So keep stirring that cauldron and enjoy passing judgement.
