Princess Kate wore all-beige to some afternoon events in Scarborough

Don’t mind me, I’m just sitting here, thinking about all of the times the Duchess of Sussex has worn shades of beige, khaki and camel. For no reason at all! Here are photos of the Prince and Princess of Wales out in Scarborough today. This was Kate’s first public event since October 13th, exactly three weeks/21 days ago. Now, don’t worry – she did three private events on Tuesday, including “making a phone call” and “signing a letter.”

This visit to Scarborough was all about mental health and the youths. They visited a local youth organization because the Royal Foundation is funding – maybe? – a program within the youth organization to focus on mental health. I’m actually not sure about whether the Royal Foundation is actually funding jacksh-t or whether the Waleses are merely showing up and saying “this organization should be funded!” This trip is also the reason why we got that preview piece from Sky News about William and Kate’s keenness for the cost of living crisis. Kensington Palace is trying to say that William and Kate choppering into Scarborough and possibly funding a mental health program for youths is about the cost of living crisis too!

As for fashion, Kate wore an all-camel look. Her coat is Max & Co, retailing for £460. Her purse is DeMellier, retailing for £295. Her belt is from Boden. The whole look is very “inspired by Meghan,” from the length of the skirt to the monochromatism to the open coat. Tonally, I wish the purse had been a shade darker, and I think she probably should have gone for darker shoes too. The trouble with all-beige is that sometimes it looks too fleshy, and I think that’s happening here. I’m also shocked by the lack of big, gaudy buttons.

  1. Ellie says:

This screams Meghan. The whole style

    • Hootenannie says:

Almost – I can’t imagine Meghan with the big, cumbersome belt. Kate can try and cop but she can’t resist being fussy.

      • Amy Bee says:

I agree the belt would have been thinner.

      • SussexWatcher says:

And the shoes – no way would Meghan have worn those shoes. Meghan’s shoe game is a Waldorf Salad while Kkkeen’s is that leftover head of lettuce that outlasted Truss.

      • ML says:

@SussexWatcher, that victorious lettuce was a left-leaning reader of The Guardian; it was filmed with a package of tofu. Comparing this lettuce in this way seems dreadfully unfair.

William is wearing his general somewhat ill-fitting outfit, but the colors are suited to him and this is his own style. Kate is approximating Meghan’s style and colors. The silhouette works for me. The accessories and color do not—William’s blue and burgundy would have been better for her. Her hair seems darker again, and that is an improvement.

I am legitimately curious as to when Kate wears Meghan’s type of clothing. She usually seems to for mental health events, right? Are there other causes where she does this?

    • Belli says:

This look is the entire Meghan moodboard in one.

    • Sue E Generis says:

Yes, yet she still manages to make it look so dowdy. How?

      • MaryContrary says:

This. Omg-she almost never, ever gets it right. She has decided to do one thing apart from having children, and that’s be pretty. And she can’t even get that right.

    • Lara (the other) says:

Problem is, for monochrome beige, you need the right colouring.
Meghan looks great in beige, Kate looks washed out and old.

      • Truthiness says:

Exactly. Meghan would look so much better in this, changing out all the accessories, especially the belt and shoes. This is the wrong palette for Kate, I don’t know what colors are better for her because I avoid thinking about her! I’ll only click on a Kate post here, never elsewhere, because she does nothing to deserve media coverage, especially in the US media.

      • Emme says:

Exactly what I was thinking, @Lara (the other)…..on Kate, the beige sort of matches her face and hair so the whole effect is colourless.

      • Liz Version 700k says:

Agreed, Kate needs a darker brown. But then she might not be so obviously stalking her SIL. It so weird. So so so weird

    • swaz says:

THEY LOOK LIKE A MEGHAN AND HARRY COPY 🙄 WHO IS ADVISING THESE TWO 🙄

    • Layla says:

Which Meghan outfit do we think will be copied next?

    • Rice says:

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m counting all of these Single White Female-ing as events within events.

      • Sister Carrie says:

        😂🤣😂🤣

      • FormerBlondeGirl says:

The thing that I find infuriating or amusing (depending on my mood) is when her stans or fan websites say that KKKhate is paying “homage” or paying “tribute” to Diana, (The One, Only and True) Princess of Wales or Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Why don’t they just call her out and say that the b*tch is straight out stealing their styles and outfits????

    • Janine says:

Meghan wore this outfit in January 2020 when she and Harry went to Canada House just in a darker shade of brown. It was right before it was announced that they would step down as senior royals. My question is, with all that Duchy of Cornwall money, why can’t Kate hire a stylist with a vision other than “Wear what Meghan wore a couple of years ago.”

      • Annalise says:

@Janine- Meghan wore a MUCH more stylish and flattering version of this, with contrasting textures and shades of brown and mochaccino and camel-same color family but not monochromatic, and with Meghan’s black brown hair… perfection! . Her skirt was silk and bias cut, her shoes were WAY more stylish and velvet to boot….. I think it’s one of my favorite looks of Meghan’s.

I almost feel bad for Kate, the poor woman just has NO style and another commentor was spot on when she pointed out that beige does Kate NO favors.

    • Nadia says:

My first thoughts exactly …screams Meghan’s style

    • PrincessK says:

My thoughts too. Except Meghan would have introduced a bit of contrast.

    • JDMyrick says:

It does scream Meghan. Except Kate can’t pull off as well as Meghan can. She should pick up the phone and ask for pointers next time.

    • Carrie says:

My God. This woman with the obvious copying. Is she not the slightest bit embarrassed? So utterly bizarre she would do this.

    • Jane says:

      She gained weight.

    • Layla says:

My God this lady is crazy! MaxMara, Ralph Lauren, Gabriella Hearst. Yeah, Kate’s definitely been surfing through whatmeghanwore.com.

    • Emily_C says:

This is definitely trying to be a Meghan look. It’s really bad on Kate, who needs color and contrast.

    • Lizzie says:

Because no other woman ever wore a beige ensemble before and if they do they must be copying Meghan.

      • WHAT says:

Lizzie do a Google search 🔍 and you’ll see for yourself. 🛑 Being a STAN and search to see her outfits before Meghan came. It’s obvious she copies Diana while young and niave but not the princess Diana. She definitely copies Meghan case in point when did princess 🧱 started wearing 👖 on official events? I’ll wait. Dan Wooten’s article in the daily fail will also be a good read for you

      • Emily_C says:

Taupe head to toe is not Kate’s type of look. It’s Meghan’s. There are plenty of times that I don’t see the copying, but in this case? It is, 100%. And it looks terrible with Kate’s coloring.

  2. C says:

Cute outfit but something about her face is really off….not sure but it doesn’t look right.

    • Eurydice says:

No one’s face is symmetrical, but the right side of her face here looks really different from the left.

      • C says:

She always had an asymmetrical face which I’m not criticizing since mine is too, but it’s like her nose is bigger or something, eyes are more drawn. Strange.

    • teehee says:

She has split her hair on the other side.

      • Erin says:

She’s always parted her hair on that side. Years of wiglet watching has got me knowing.

      • C says:

This is usually where she parts it, isn’t it? But the volume at the crown is weirdly styled.

      • sparrow says:

Has she reduced the wiglet here? She seems less hair more face.

      • teehee says:

Ok I checked some other pics, true– but I do see that the split is now farther to the center of the eyebrow (more to the side) and less at the start of the brow/central to the face than usual.
And based on my own face, that makes a huge difference in how I look too. it also explains the change in the hair volume– too much and too little on either side, respectively

    • Jess says:

Yes, your face changes as you age. Also include factors like the environment, weight, hormones, care, diet, etc. Your nose also never stops growing. She does look different then she did in 2011.

      • C says:

She looks different than she did at the Queen’s funeral and the events surrounding it.
        Probably fillers.

    • Sue E Generis says:

Her right eye is closed down, the left eyebrow is much higher.

    • candy says:

She got visible facial paralysis from the work she had done before the Caribbean tour. Then they fixed it. But whoever did that hasn’t been doing her many favors.

      • sparrow says:

I’m also wondering whether it’s work that hasn’t settled. If so, it means that her addiction video really was edited to hell and back to make her face today seem so different from in that broadcast. I was shocked by how much bigger it looks.

The colours drain her. And her make up is dreadful. Someone does this woman no favours in the styling dept. Although, who knows, Kate is old enough to decide what she wants to look like, surely to goodness. Then again, maybe not.

      • candy says:

Her style is weighed down, long hair, heavy looking makeup, big belts, long coat, high collar, super high heels, long long long. It’s weary. I think she would look much more vibrant, and yes, youthful, with a makeover. She has the height to try different styles.

She should get a cute bob, mix up her shoe game, switch up her tailoring. Never transitioned out of her 30s, or even 20s, and still tries to style herself as such.

      • Nic919 says:

What doesn’t help is that the turtleneck looks flesh coloured and so the thickness of the turtleneck is making her face look more swollen too.

    • Laur says:

She has that stretched, puffy look I see on patients that recently had fillers. The three weeks off apparently wasn’t long enough for them to settle properly. No shame, do what you want to your face!

    • Roop says:

Agreed @C, I noticed the same thing. Is it puffier? I can’t quite tell, but something looks different and a little off.

    • cws says:

I am with you, I was thinking the same. Her face looks very different today than in months past.

      • JaneBee says:

Hopefully it is filler that needs to settle, otherwise the jump from painfully thin all over to suddenly bloated, is worrying. I’ve said it before, I do think she may be dealing with peri-menopause.

    • Cessily says:

If you compare to other photos her eyebrows from what I can tell are thicker and heavier. I’m still mourning mine from the 80’s and an overzealous babysitter who plucked them.. they never recovered 😢 I don’t know maybe micro blading? Or a new makeup artist?

    • Nadia says:

Her one eye is wonky. Drives me nuts. One eye is like bigger than the other. But in these pictures, her cheeks look lopsided.

      • SAS says:

@Nadia, I truly can’t stand the woman but there is enough to criticise her about without picking apart things out of her control (eyes/facial symmetry).

Admittedly a personal sore spot of mine as I have slightly lopsided (“wonky”) lips that I’m sure would be ridiculed as botched filler if my appearance was put under a microscope!

    • Klaw says:

I noticed it too! It’s like her right eye isn’t opening all the way. Botox gone wrong?

  3. Susan says:

Confession: I don’t always see the copykeening/homage to Diana etc stuff on these royal posts (who hasn’t worn a red dress in their lifetime? Lol) but HOLY CATS when I saw the thumbnail of the two together on my newsfeed, I thought it was Meghan and William doing an event. Even her hair is laying like Meghan’s does. Woof.

    • Laura D says:

I’m so glad you said that Susan because I too thought it was Meghan from a distance. I didn’t want to admit to it in-case people thought I was trolling.

    • Ponchorella says:

Yeah, sometimes I don’t always see it either. Like when Kate wore the structured blue blazer and black pants vs. Meghan, whose top had flow. However, this is egregious. Like, it smacks me in the face.

I feel that the beige blast washes kate out a bit here. Meghan can pull it off because of her warm skin tone.

      • Becks1 says:

Oh that blue blazer and black pants was 100% copying. The necklace sealed it.

But in general, its the really egregious copying that makes everything else a copy, if that makes sense, lol. Like this outfit is a total copy, I think we all agree on that. So then the Coach Core event (with the black pants and blue top and small blue necklace, very similar to the outfit Meghan wore to….a Coach Core event) just becomes so obvious that we can’t give her the benefit of the doubt. Yes, different style top – one was a blazer and one was more of a wrap blouse….but with Kate that was not a coincidence. Taken by itself, as an isolated incident, I could see how some might say “eh not a copy.” but when you consider the constant copykeening…..it just puts everything she wears into that light.

  4. Jan90067 says:

There is a red “stripe” or piping in her coat. I’d have loved to see a red shoe/belt/purse to match that. Or failing that, yes, def. a darker brown for all three.

One thing’s for sure, she didn’t get work done on this break; her face is drooping (esp her right eye area).

Wonder if Moose Knuckle is still afraid to let her go out on her own. He always seems to latch onto her visits (and for God’s sake, can he PLEASE wear something other than those tired navy chinos and sweater set????).

  5. Julia K says:

I like this look on her. Simple and uncluttered.

    • WHAT says:

You can thank California for the inspiration. Knowing princess 🧱 just copies women who she can’t be. Did she make a speech? Or take pictures like she normally does and goes 🏠?

      • Olive says:

        This is laughable.

      • WHAT says:

Olive what is laughable? Try a simple Google search and you’ll see for yourself STAN that princess 🧱 ONLY started to wear this look AFTER Meg came on the scene. Read Dan Wooten’s article where he clearly stated the fact that this change in princess 🧱 ONLY happened when Meg met Harry

    • Bibi says:

She has a nearly identical coat she wore in March 2021. But of course she needed a new one. Probably stored next to the dozens of blue and green coats…

      • Becks1 says:

omg, I had just assumed this coat was a repeat. It’s new??

      • Nic919 says:

When is the last time she’s stepped out wearing a repeat? Certainly not since the queen passed.

I won’t be shocked if she gets a new black coatdress for Remembrance Day too.

  6. FeatherDuk says:

What’s up with her eye? Looks like bad botox.

    • lucy2 says:

I’ve never noticed it on her before, but it looks like she’s doing what I tend to do – smiling more on one side and it squishes one eye more than the other.

  7. C-Shell says:

Inspired by Meghan, but looks awful in execution, and, yes, fleshy. Speaking of fleshy, WTF has KKKhate done to her face now? Or is this photoshop. Maybe both, I guess 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, it looks overfilled, over-Botoxed, tight. *shudder*

    • Becks1 says:

I think its the opposite problem. These photos are from Mark Cuthbert, and he clearly does not subscribe to the Chris Jackson school of photoshop when it comes to Kate. There’s even a picture in the Getty images of just the back of her hair, LOL. It’s so random.

but I do think that’s the issue with so many of her pics being photoshopped. When we see ones that aren’t, she looks really bad. But if we always saw her like that, i think generally our reaction would be well that’s Kate (botox and wiglet aside.)

      • C-Shell says:

Good point. I’ll add that Bulliam also got some heavy Botox in in the forehead area (at least) during the school break. I’m seriously questioning the abilities of the cosmetic practitioners (dentists included) the royals have access to.

      • Harper says:

Fleshy is right, making it all blah instead of chic. She needs some black with the outfit. And the lack of Chris Jackson’s photoshop skills is obvious. I saw another photo of Kate today where her Grinch smile was back.

    • Kit says:

Dear God tragic, de belt , tiny bag and tights , hand on heart she hasn’t got a clue , l wonder does she actually have a stylist, l mean Jackie O and Diana asked for help with a look.that would work for them hence de box hat was born in de 60s !!!!

Definitely a change in Katie, l think when de late Queen was alive she def did not feel secure in her role as it was obvious the Queen didn’t like her she didn’t even acknowledge her for God sake , now that she is passed she thinks William won’t divorce her any time soon !! Let’s see how this all plays out ……

    • PrincessK says:

‘Inspired by Meghan but awful in execution’ Lol!

  8. Lululu says:

This color is awful on her. And she either looks tired or her makeup is jacked up, maybe both. Worst look for her in ages, even with the blessed lack of buttons. Although, the same look in another color could have worked, or come close to it. I do like the simplicity.

    • KASalvy says:

Everyone has a particular “neutral” that looks good with their skin tone (camel, tan, taupe, etc.)

This is the wrong neutral for her skin tone.

    • JanetDR says:

Jewel tones are kHate’s best for sure. I do like the lack of ruffles, bows, buttons and furbelows for once. Surprised that she didn’t manage to work in a pussybow!

      • Debbie says:

… and polka dots, Peter Pan collars, peplums, lace, oh my, she’s got them all. But beige is a tough color for some to wear depending on one’s undertone and it often needs contrast to liven it up or make an impact. To me, the proportions are a bit off too. The hems are a bit long and coupled with the color tends to make the look dowdier.

  9. Erin says:

Does her face look more plump? Is that what the three weeks off was for? A little bit of cosmetic tweaking?

  10. tamsin says:

Monochrome, camel, buttonless, belted. Great pieces, and Kate is wearing them well, but there just seems to be something missing. Like just a sea of camel, and nothing pops. Good thing she’s wearing the poppy. Don’t think Kate carries off camel as well as Meghan does as it seems to wash her out a bit. I like the buttonless look on her, though. She should try it more often. Maybe Kate’s staff has given her the message!

    • Eurydice says:

Yes, almost a great look. With the all-camel, I would have worn a darker dress, maybe in the color of her belt.

  11. girl_ninja says:

Another call to Duchess Meghan’s style. No originality. No personality.

  12. LW says:

It sure matches her personality; bland and underwhelming.

And she looks like a p*nis.

    Not sorry.

    • Seraphina says:

I almost choked on my tea. Well played.
      She looks happy yet haggard.
And i see many are saying this is Meghan’s style – Kate makes this look frumpy so I cannot envision Meghan in this.

  13. Laura D says:

I don’t normally subscribe to the “Copy Keen” debate but, I actually gasped when I saw the video. Everything she’s wearing screams “Meghan.” The colour really, really doesn’t suit her but, she must have insisted this is how she wanted to look. I’m flabbergasted – seriously!

Someone should tell Kate that although most of us love what Meghan wears, we’re more impressed with her work-ethic. Same with Diana. Yes we loved Diana’s wardrobe (at the time) but, we were equally impressed with her continually championing those who couldn’t speak for themselves.

  14. Becks1 says:

Yeah I saw the post on their IG about this and was also confused as to whether they were actually funding this initiative or just sort of sponsoring the charity that was funding it. I guess its purposely fuzzy, right?

charles is going to be okay bc people expect the monarch to hold meetings and sign things and go to hospital openings. But I think W&K are in for a bumpy road bc the more active H&M are, the more people are going to look at W&K and think, and what are YOU doing to help? Photo ops aren’t going to be enough anymore. And while I understand that H&M are in a very different position now than W&K are, there are still going to be comparisons. they still have a royal foundation. this is the real threat that H&M always posed – they wanted to actually work and make a difference, not just smile for the cameras. And they were doing that even as working royals.

As for the outfit….well, the copykeening is obvious, the monochromatic look is something Kate lifted directly from Meghan.* I don’t love that shade on Kate, I think “fleshy” is a good description, lol, but I actually do like the overall outfit. It’s overall a good silhouette on her. Copying Meghan is good for Kate, style wise, its just super disturbing considering what Kate did to Meghan.

*yes yes other women have worn monochromatic looks before Meghan. But we know Kate copies either the Queen, diana, William’s mistress, or Meghan. So this is Meghan.

    • Cessily says:

They actually posted a £ amount on Twitter, I saw a screen shot of the post and had to do a double take. Prince Harry “Spare” monetary donations to his charities in Britain must have hit a sore spot.

      • Becks1 says:

They did! It was around 350k I think. But the announcement was vague bc I couldn’t tell if the Royal Foundation was donating that much or just partnering with an organization that was actually the one donating. I think @AmyBee said below that its the org that’s donating, so not the RF.

    • Nic919 says:

Kate did not wear monochromatic neutrals until Meghan did so. And this colour looks bad on her. She might have stuck with the coat but the turtleneck and skirt colour wash her out way too much.

      • The Duchess says:

It looks so bad and too over the top. It’s like she’s screaming out “I am the next Meghan, now notice MEEEE!” and everyone just looks along in confusion.

      • Becks1 says:

I am a super basic dresser (sorry, “classic” lol) so I love black and camel together. I feel like the tneck and skirt with a black coat would have looked great, or vice versa (then she couldn’t have taken the coat off though bc the all black would make people think she was still mourning the queen, when we all know she’s not.)

  15. Noki says:

She wants to copy Megs style to the point that it now becomes linked to her. She knows what she is doing.

  16. Amy Bee says:

I agree the shoes don’t go with the outfit. But I’m reminded of the outrage from royalists and press that Meghan didn’t wear bright colours or wore too many monochrome outfits. They said she was breaking protocol and unroyal. Where is the outrage for Kate’s outfit which has been taken directly from Meghan’s look book?

As for the funding, the press release says that the money comes from the Two Ridings Community Foundation which allocates funds to organizations. William and Kate are not donating the money but it would seem that the Royal Foundation selected groups in Yorkshore to receive the funding.

    • Sue E Generis says:

It’s funny, I feel like I have never read about them donating directly to any cause. What are they doing with all that foundation money?

    • Nic919 says:

The arrogance of not providing money and deciding which local organizations should get the money they never donated, as if they have any idea what the local issues are over the local Two Ridings community organization.

  17. Krista says:

I like the dress, I like the coat, just maybe not together? I guess monochromatic is a thing now, but I find it bland.

    • Peachy says:

I really like the entire look…just not on Kate in this particular color. I see people saying a dark belt but that would have just cut her into 2 and ruined the long lines. A lighter, skinnier belt in cream along with the coat in cream would have worked imo.

  18. Tina Loman says:

It does look like something Meghan would wear, but the belt and purse would have coordinated and been much better. I really liked Meghan’s white one she wore while pregnant. The new POW didn’t go back to those clutches. I think bags with handles just make more sense. I’d like to see her bill for her clothes this year during a recession and heating crisis.

  19. Beverley says:

Poor Kkkhate is a simple child, isn’t she? She really wants to wear polka dots, buttons, ruffles and peplum and raid her mum’s closet, but she desperately wants the adoration and attention of the cameras, yet the cameras LOVE glamorous Meghan who never puts a fashion foot wrong. So she copy-keens, knowing her stans will praise her and attempt to rewrite history by accusing Megahn of copying Kkkhate. She’s so bland and boring without an original thought behind her heavily botoxed forehead. It would be laughable if it weren’t so disturbing.

  20. Dee says:

She stole Meghan’s look, but is so terrible at styling. Waiting for the side by side pictures, because it’s obvious copykeening and obvious she can’t wear this look well.

    • Debbie says:

Your comment reminds me of Joan Rivers’s old show, the Fashion Police. It used to have a segment called “B*tch Stole My Look!” They would post photos side by side and say who wore the look where, and whether the others also wore it successfully.

  21. Lizzie Bathory says:

Once again, they look like they’re attending different events. Would it kill William to wear a proper suit? I swear it’s like he’s rebelling against his father’s interest in bespoke suits by turning up rumpled & underdressed in public.

  22. GlamGirl says:

To me it looks like she’s gained a little weight (not in a bad way.)

    • sparrow says:

I know. It’s striking how different her face looks. I did a double take and then wondered if the polo neck was puffing her out. However, the other day when she did her addiction broadcast, she looked incredibly slender. Perhaps some work hasn’t settled? Or is she actually taking care of herself. I don’t want to say it, because of the womb watching, but could this be pregnancy?

      • Nic919 says:

The turtle neck is puffy and basically her skin colour so it’s creating the illusion that’s there is more there. But also I’m sure there are fillers.

      • SenseOfTheAbsurd says:

        ::making up conspiracy theories::

They sub in an aide in a Scooby Doo villain rubber mask when Kate’s too drunk to walk in heels.

    • HeatherC says:

I don’t know if she has or it’s just the styling (thick turtleneck collar, etc) but I do know pregnancy speculation and bump watch (gross) is springing up on Twitter and tabloids again. Which may be what she wants, to “remind” people she’s “young and fertile”

    • JaneBee says:

@glamgirl I would not sh*t on her re: weight gain, but this is not it. She has gone from rake thin to weirdly puffy/bloat over a three week period. This seems to be explained by either unsettled fillers (idk – she seems pretty expressive and doesn’t have freeze face?), or hormone/peri-menopause related, or possibly a change or response to a new medication?

  23. LightPurple says:

    But where are the buttons?

    Is that a clone?

    Why are there no buttons?

Actually, I do like the coat but I can’t wear that shade in a coat.

  24. Jess says:

Kate has gone from cosplaying Diana and the Queen to copying Crown Princess Mary to imitating Meghan. I don’t think Kate really cares about clothes; if she did she would have her own style. She’s like Kim Kardashian who does not have an original style of her own.

    • zebz says:

Say what you want about Kim but she never dresses up as an old woman. Kate doesn’t just dress like the queen when she was young but the queen as she knew her. That’s just crazy.

      • Jess says:

Kim also wore a deceased women’s fragile dress. They are very similar in how they have no sense of style. Kim dresses up as women dead or alive as her personal style. She’s doing it with North, buying her Michael Jackson’s clothes and hats. It’s psychotic on both ends.

      • notasugarhere says:

Kate has directly copied Kim at least once, so what does that say about how pathetic Kate’s copying is? It was the Jubilee boat flotilla. The rest of the royal ladies got the memo and wore white/cream. Kate was in bright red and blended in with the drapes. That was the event where it rained, William left the boat carrying his own umbrella, and Harry had to call him back to collect his wife.

  25. Vanessa says:

Copy Kate strikes again she is truly a insecure woman who doesn’t know who she is if she was not involved in the bullying harassment and racism toward Meghan . I would feel sorry for her but I don’t she doesn’t know who she is so she has to copy another woman style single white female .

  26. TangerineTree says:

Khate is not playing chess with this copying – she just looks like an empty-shell stalker. Her copying Diana for years was disturbing and her now copying Meghan is even creepier bc they are the same age and M is such an accomplished woman. Khate outs herself as a very busy psycho every time. And she does not pull this look off! It falls flat.
As much as I can’t stand Khate’s awful husband, can you imagine what Khate is like in private? Yikes.

  27. sparrow says:

Camel and caramel are not her colours; they do nothing for her tones, and yet she keeps going with it. Her face looks different. Perhaps puffiness before settling from something? Anyway, on a different note – I wonder what it’s like to carry a bag that has no actual purpose? Why do they do it? I can’t see it being rammed full of the crap that the rest of us shove into bags to get us through our working day and life in general. It must feel strange to be carrying a nonsense handbag around. Any ideas/knowledge? Thanks in advance.

  28. QuiteContrary says:

Meghan makes these monochromatic outfits look elegant. On Kate, they just look bland.

  29. ncboudicca says:

The thing I hate about this the most is that she appears to be wearing tan stockings. I just can’t with that.

  30. Digital Unicorn says:

Beige to match herself – total Meghan look and I see she’s ditched the bronde highlights. The way she gnashed her teeth together is really quite awful – it makes her look aggressive, like she’s about to jump you with those claws.

Since QE2 died something has changed with Middleton – she’s become bolder and dare I say more relaxed in public. Something changed behind the scenes and i think its to do with him and any settlement she might received should he dump her. I think she thinks he won’t dump her ass now but I still think he will.

Given todays interest rate increase by the Bank of England am in no mood to be nice about these 2, esp her and her OOC spending habits/constant harping about wanting to live in a castle.

What i really want for Christmas is for the UK media to drop their payload on these 2.

    • JaneBee says:

I think @Kit was on to something with her comment about Khate feeling more confident now that there is no longer any accountability or judgement from QEII – who clearly did not hold Buttons in high regard.

But yes, could also be related to reduced stress re: settlement and separate living arrangements.

Hopefully it’s not because she’s aware of some pending ‘pay back’ to the Sussexes by KCIII e.g. to strip Archie and Lily of their rightful titles.

  31. RiaH says:

See I thought her face looked fuller …

  32. Catherine says:

It’s. It’s not just the outfit that is a copy. The whole build a relationship with multiple organizations in one community is a copy of Harry’s work in Nottingham. Except he spent years doing work largely behind the scenes doing so. Not enough time is spent on how the Cambridge’s especially William copy Harry’s work/engagements. William is actually using phrasing that Harry used. They hid and minimized Harry’s work when they couldn’t attach the Cambridge’s to it. They think if they just do what Harry did they will be as popular as he was. At least these organizations are getting some money. It might actually be their money. As Prince of Wales, William has additional income so he may be funneling some of that into the royal foundation. When the budget was published it really stood out that they had no mental health programs on the books. So they had to put something together.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Catherine, if you look at the posts above, you’ll see that the money did NOT come from the Royal Foundation.

KHate needs someone who can match color with skin tone. That’s not a good color for her. The long hair makes her face longer and I wish she would cut it. Isn’t there anyone in the entire UK who knows enough about any of this that could help her? She needs to ditch the idea of looking like anyone else and just let someone else create a style for her. She should always IMO wear color and stop with the neutrals. She spends a lot of money on clothes, and she needs to find someone who will make sure she looks like it.

  33. zebz says:

Kate is being extremely aggressive to Meghan. It’s much more sinister than simple insecurity. These kind of racial aggressions happen to POC everyday and have done since before our time. Even famous singers, tiktok stars, etc, of today do this exact thing. Co-opting a look, saying or dance/song and claiming it for themselves with a new name. The only difference is Meghan is more popular and well known than Kate. Kate is incapable of overshadowing Meghan on her worst day. Regardless it is extremely important to call this out when you see it and give dates for things so that it doesn’t go unchallenged.

  34. Doug Doug says:

LOVE this outfit. Beige is so in right now.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Doug Doug, that doesn’t mean everyone can wear that color. I wouldn’t call this beige because it’s too dark.

    • WHAT says:

Did you love Dan Wooten’s article in the daily fail when he stated that princess 🧱 is copying Meghan and it was a good thing? Do you love it when there’s a cosmo article out trying to attach princess 🧱 to Meghan’s podcast? Do you love it that Tom bower/Piers Morgan/ Angela Levin) Meghan Kelly/Megan McCain stated the whispers out loud 📢 that it’s Meghan he wanted to get? Do you love that now 🤣 all her pictures include her looking in love at William with nothing being reciprocated back to her? One was done today

She can copy and the rota can embiggen her all they want. Princess 🧱 nor William EVER be in the stratosphere like California. This is desperate and apparent since they are always a day late and a 💵 short which shows how desperate they are just to be in the CONVERSATION with their names associated with California. Even with a 🆕 title and responsibility. It’s more of the Cambridge way. Just 😁 and make pictures and act like we’re doing something when they clearly are not.

    • Emily_C says:

I hate it. Gotta be honest, I hate this kind of thing on Meghan too, but she carries it off better than Kate. But I don’t think taupe head to toe looks good on anyone.

  35. The Duchess says:

Never order Harry & Meghan from Shein because this is the result! They look absolutely ridiculous and completely out of their depth yet again.

  36. Jen says:

I don’t love Meghan’s propensity for trouser legs that swallow her feet, but I love how expertly she does neutrals/browns/beiges, and this is not it. Viewing the preview photo to this article, I legit thought, ‘what’s going on with her neck?!?’ before realizing that was her sweater. Coat is pretty great. Shoes are the absolute worst part.

  37. HuffnPuff says:

Beige is not a good color for her to go monochromatic with. Her skin tone can’t pull it off. Also if you’re going to do it, you need to be all in. The shoes, belt and bag don’t match each other let alone the rest of the outfit. The turtleneck isn’t doing her any favors either. It’s folded wrong or oddly constructed making her look like the Michelin man in that area. She usually does better than this. Her stylist must be mad at her.

  38. sparrow says:

At the end of the day, I’d rather have my 9 – 5 thanks. OK, so they’re rich, but their life looks dull as ditch water. Another day, another meet and greet, blah blah blah. Nothing meaningful. Add in all the preparation, outfits, and photographs of everything you do from the moment you get out of the car and then back in. How dull & stressful at the same time. I bet Kate wonders where all the glamour her mother promised her has gone.

  39. DeluxeDuckling says:

All beige is unflattering on everyone, but this complexion most of all 😬

  40. Nanz says:

    Anyone else getting pregnant vibes?

    • swirlmamad says:

Nope. But I am getting “puffy-faced because my work hasn’t settled yet” vibes.

    • sparrow says:

That’s what I said upthread. I don’t like to do it because it’s womb watching but perhaps it matches their 4th baby chatter recently. (Apparently, this is doing the rounds on their fan sites.) However, I am more convinced that it’s filler we just didn’t see the last time we saw her, which was her addiction video chat. I think the video editor hid what’s gone on with her face, which makes today’s photos a shock to the system. Kate’s botox, filler, and god knows what else, really put me off ever using the stuff. She has all the money in the world and access to top clinicians and yet it always looks so bad. I know the canvas isn’t great to begin with, but the work is poor, which must either be the doctors are crap or she is beyond help.

      • Candy says:

@Sparrow, me too. But I think the issue here is not to start too young. Kate started doing fillers and Botox around 2012 and I think that was way too early. Plus not everyone reacts well to fillers but she insists on using them anyway.

      • Nanz says:

The vibes (to me) are coming from her hand hovering over her stomach in multiple photos (even on other sites), the open coat, and admittedly, the fuller face. Plus, all the 4th baby talk.

  41. Kels says:

I honestly wonder if her stans notice the shift from only coat dresses to lookalike Meghan. All the things they criticized Meghan for Kate is now doing…
I’m not on social media but I really wonder if it’s hit them because they LOVED her coat dresses and hats because (royal regal blah blah) and she barely wears them anymore.

  42. Cee says:

This is what happens when all you do is copy without THINKING! She looks completely washed out and yes, fleshy. She, and her overpaid staff, do not know how to dress.

  43. M3gan says:

I don’t think it’s a good colour on her because it’s the colour of her skin. So it looks fleshy.

  44. one of the marys says:

I recognize this from Meghan’s visit to the UN in New York because that was my favourite outfit from the entire week

  45. bitsycs says:

The copying is obvious and hilarious as usual (also always off the mark, too).

I love an all beige look but I cannot pull it off well despite having dark hair – I think it’s the same for Kate. Her skin tone just doesn’t work with all beige for me.

  46. jferber says:

It seems she just can’t help making a snarling or nasty face, even on a visit touting mental health. It’s as if she expected to see Duchess Meghan around every corner.

  47. D says:

The shoes and stockings kill the whole look.

Can someone explain why they always bring a purse? Is there not an assistant or handler who can just carry the phone in case of a kid emergency? What would she realistically need a purse for on these types of outings? It always bothers me.

    • Dhianna says:

I believe KKKhate wants to be seen like the Queen. The Queen would move her purse from one side to the other, when she wanted to leave from where she was at. Giving KKKhate some type of importance……lololol

  48. Jay says:

I like the all beige outfit, especially the camel coat, maybe because I’m one of the people that could not wear it ( unless I wanted to look like I was wearing my birthday suit from afar). But one thing Meghan does with most of her monochrome outfits is have fun with different textures of fabric, or slightly different tones, and I think that makes all the difference. And the shoes are tragic. But, compared to the absolute mess she usually wears… this is a big improvement. Now burn the wiglets and bob your hair, Kate!

This is too deliberate to be anything else than an attempt to get tabloids to do the old “Who wore it better”, right?

    • Well Wisher says:

Never thought about “who wore it better”.
It will continue the unnecessary one sided competition.

      Oh man.

  49. BohemianAngel says:

Wow, VERY Meghan. The b!@ch has no shame.

  50. jferber says:

BohemianAngel, She wouldn’t be where she is if she had any shame. Her mother sucked that emotion out of her (and herself) long, long ago.

  51. Carolind says:

She needs a contrasting colour or two. Too much the same.

  52. Drew says:

You know I never really got the copying thing… Until now. Like you can wear what you want but when it comes to the women we always look at the fashion. This is definitely something Meghan would have worn. Oh man 🤦🏾‍♀️. Whatever works for you Kate 🤣

  53. TheVolvesSeidr says:

That coat is too heavy with that heavy sweater dress. A tailored, raw silk/wool blend coat, in a shade darker than the dress, would look much better. That belt sucks too, a gold chain belt would look good. Darker shoes too, matching a darker coat. In suede. She just has no taste. She very rarely ever gets it right. So blah.

  54. H3rH1ghn3ss says:

imitation is the HIGHEST form of flattery.

    • Kingston says:

      @H3rH1ghn3ss

“…that mediocrity can pay to greatness.”

C’mon now, lets get the meaning crystal clear. LMAO

  55. WHAT says:

Not when you had twenty years to establish your own identity and voice and have all the tools to improve and make your own impact in Britain. It reeks of desperation that at forty you have nothing to show for yourself and you can’t use the kids anymore as an outlet or excuse. So what do you do copy other women who you’ll never be able to measure up to. It’s not imitation it’s insecurity

  56. Well Wisher says:

I am not looking forward to when the newness of the title wears off and
    cos-playing is no longer enough.

  57. Gingerbee says:

Notice that she is wearing her coats unbuttoned now, and she never did this before Meghan. That woman is such a copycat, no originality. That entire outfit is bland as wet cardboard

  58. L4Frimaire says:

Those colors make her look washed out. It’s too monochromatic and bland. This is not her wheelhouse and it shows. Those shoes make her feet look huge and the purse is too small. Honestly not that interested in whatever “work” they’re doing but at least they’re finally out doing something.

  59. Marley says:

That skirt is clingy in an unflattering way when she moves. Please wear a slip!

  60. s says:

    a) Is it her choice to copy Meghan, or does an adviser tell her to do so?
    b) Where is her vast wardrobe likely stored?
    c) Does someone tell her, it’s time to do a wardrobe repeat for strategy reasons?

  61. Cachaca says:

Gross colors on both, at least K wasn’t sweaty. Not a good look, chocolate cow vibes.

  62. Likeyoucare says:

I read a theory from here.
What kate is doing now is she is trying to bombard all meghan’s styles.

So when someone google the pictures in ten years they will manipulate them by saying meghan who was copying khate style. The stupid people who idolizing BRF will shout the loudest.

  63. Cel2495 says:

She is def copying Meghan but it doesn’t look as nice on her. The belt is a no for me, her body type is very long torso and she is super skinny. That big bulky belt makes her midsection look weird. No belt ir a nice skinny belt would have been better. Darker shoes as well.

And for the person saying at least Kate wasn’t sweaty… oh please! Women sweat! We all sweat!
