In the weeks/months/years of drama around Brooklyn Beckham, his parents and Nicola Peltz, one thing has remained pretty constant: Nicola’s family has not briefed the media or thrown tantrums in the tabloids. I don’t think that David and Victoria Beckham even realized that Brooklyn married into a wealthy family with their own code of omerta. When people get to the Peltz family’s level of wealth, power and access, the goal is keep your family’s business out of the press entirely. Now, I’m sure that Nicola’s father Nelson Peltz (a big-time Palm Beach billionaire Republican) has been bankrolling Nicola and Brooklyn’s PR needs in the past year. They seem to have a pricey crisis manager on call, as well as a slew of publicists. But I would argue that Nicola and Brooklyn’s PR team is what makes this situation a fair fight. Anyway, Nelson Peltz did a Q&A session at a Wall Street Journal event this week, and in between fielding business questions, he was asked about his daughter and son-in-law.
Nicola Peltz’s father, Nelson Peltz, has broken his silence on his son-in-law Brooklyn Beckham’s very public family feud. The billionaire investor, 83, participated in a Q&A session at the WSJ Invest Live event in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Tuesday and was asked about Nicola, to which he quipped, “Has my family been in the press lately? I haven’t noticed at all.”
Nelson said he did give advice to his family on how to navigate certain situations.
“My advice is to stay the hell out of the press,” he said. “My daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story and that’s not for coverage here today,” he continued. “But I’ll tell you my daughter is great, my son-in-law Brooklyn is great and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.”
The Beckham family feud took an explosive turn last month after Brooklyn shared a scathing statement attacking his parents — dad David, 50, and mom Victoria, 51 — via his Instagram Stories. Brooklyn, 26, shared that he didn’t want to reconcile with his family, and accused his parents of trying to destroy his marriage to Nicola, 31. He also claimed Victoria danced “inappropriately” with him at his 2022 wedding.
Yeah, again, the Peltzes keep their family matters private. Nelson isn’t about to bad-mouth Nicola, Brooklyn or even Brooklyn’s parents. It’s just not done at his level. I would imagine that was eye-opening for Brooklyn too, given that his parents have always been eager to spill all of their family drama out into the open. I believe the Peltz family gives Nicola and Brooklyn unconditional support. It’s even more notable when you consider that David and Victoria’s briefings consistently revolve around “Brooklyn must divorce Nicola, we hate her and we never want to see her again!” I still believe that Brooklyn’s Instagram Stories statement a few weeks ago was reactive given all of the sh-t his parents were saying about him to the tabloids.

My guess is a lot of this drama is because Posh & Becks don’t like that Brooklyn “married up.” They’re used to being the stars, and he escaped them into a world where the Beckham family are considered “new money” with terrible manners.
Doesn’t negate that the Pelz family are MAGA, but they’re kind of old-ish Palm Beach money, and those folks do not in any way need the Beckham’s nonsense.
He married up money wise but not name wise. One of those last names has worldwide recognition which I’m sure was part of the appeal for Nicola. Do you think she would have looked at him twice if he wasnt David Beckham’s son?
During one of his many legal trials, Nelson Peltz once said: “What sense is being a billionaire if you’re not a bully?”
There you go. That’s tells you about this man’s character.
But victoria and David aren’t going to the press directly, right? They’re talking to the press through sources which is the exact same thing the Peltz family is doing. Of course Nelson Peltz isnt going to trash the Beckhams directly. he pays people to do that.
Knowing what we know about this family, this headline sounds like more of a threat.
This a good response. Victoria and David should have handled this situation in the same way.
Well he addressed it even if he didn’t get into it. And by saying just don’t go the press it felt clear that he was likely implying that the Beckhams talk to the press too much, yes through sources. Not to say the Petlzes don’t go to the press bc I’d imagine they also do but it feels different. And I think that’s bc the British tabloids are so ham-fisted and obvious about it. Like the DM and the Sun aren’t subtle and it makes the Beckhams not subtle with it either. At the end of the day though, it hasn’t been a huge hit for Brand Beckham but I think that’s bc there brand wasn’t as much abut family unity as it was about former pop and soccer star become business savvy. That’s their brand more than perfect happy family imo and that’s why they haven’t taken as much of a hit as one would think. I think they thought it was happy family but eh it wasn’t really.
