The NY Post is reporting that Jim Carrey is dealing with his breakup with Jenny McCarthy by macking on random women at clubs. Carrey was spotted making out a blonde who looked a lot like McCarthy, and from the way the Post words this story I’m picturing some kind of manic orgy to follow back at his hotel. Carrey went to the club with a bunch of women, picked one to make out with, and they all left together. Maybe it didn’t go down like that and Carrey was with that woman all along, who is serving as some kind of rebound replacement girlfriend.
Jim Carrey seems to be getting over Jenny McCarthy rather rapidly — he was spotted grappling with a blonde and a brunette at Pacha Sunday morning. A spy at the West 46th Street club told us, “He arrived at 3 a.m. with an entourage of at least 10 women. Once in the VIP area, he turned his attention to a pretty blonde who looked a lot like Jenny and a hot brunette. Things were getting so hot and heavy, someone shouted, ‘Get a room.’ Jim just burst out laughing.” Carrey and crew left around 6 a.m. The star’s rep didn’t get back to us.

The Chicago Sun Times is running a related story quoting a source who claims that Carrey is off the rails, and not in his regular goofy/quirky way. He’s in dire need of McCarthy’s calming influence, but the likelihood that they’ll get back together is low.
Don’t know if it’s just due to Jim Carrey’s recent breakup with Jenny McCarthy, but a very good friend of the actor says the always-quirky Carrey has been acting ”even more weird than usual — but in a way that isn’t the fun, weird Jim we all love.”
The veteran Hollywood studio executive says Carrey ”has always been extremely moody,” leading some to speculate the talented star may have depression or bipolar issues. But ”while he was with Jenny, she kept him on an even keel. She could always cajole him, joke around and get him back to being himself.
”But lately he’s really seemed unhappy. … I wish they’d get back together. I think he needs her.”
However, in checking with someone extremely close to McCarthy, I’ve learned ”that’s not very likely. Jenny still loves Jim and wishes him well but really has to get on with her life.”

At least Carrey is getting out and isn’t holed up at his place with the shades down, like he was rumored to be doing prior to McCarthy calling time on their relationship. He definitely has some issues, but if wacky constant tweeting and making out with women at clubs is the worst that’s going on with him then he’s way ahead of the game. It’s nice to hear about a guy making out with a lookalike of his ex and not catting around behind his girlfriend/wife’s back. Whatever happened between these two, we never heard about either of them cheating.

I thought it was KNOWN/stated by Jim himself that he deals with depression etc I also thought the speculation was McCarthy couldn’t take it anymore and that was why they broke up.
How old is he? Showing up at a club at 3 am and leaving at 6 am seems more like the behavior of a teenager…

“Deals with depression”? He said he did several years ago-it’s NOT a life sentence, feeling bad sometimes is a normal part of life.
He sounds like he’s having a good time. He has money and fame and has options most men don’t. Good for him!

My only concern is that he is a clinical manic-depressive and not taking any meds. That could be disastrous!
I think Jenny deserves more than a life of tip-toeing around someone else’s moods.

I used the words “deals with depression,” from my own experiences with severe depression running thru my family and know that it can come back. Anyone with any true experience with depression knows the difference bt having a bad day/feeling down and true depression.
I hate when tabs say they are out with a “lookalike” of the ex. 99.9% of the time they look nothing alike except for hair color.
Yeah, speaking from personal experience, chronic depression (by its very nature) never really goes away. The best we sufferers can do is find coping mechanisms to help stay ahead of our mood shifts.

From what I’m reading, Jim Carrey is a moody person and if this is true, its very tiring on a relationship, no matter how nice or wonderful the man is. Its better for her mental health to be away from him, if these reports about his moodiness is true.
