Lady Gaga “loves” the rumor about her (alleged) disco stick

I saw this story over the weekend, but I honestly thought it was part of Lady Gaga’s epic interview with the UK Times, but I was wrong. Gaga talked about ecstasy and lupus with the Times. She didn’t really discuss the penis rumors, although the lady journalist who shared a bathroom stall with Gaga confirmed that there’s no wang. However, when Gaga was on a French television show, she ended up talking about her penis. Or lack of a penis? At this point, I have no idea. But I don’t really care, either. Neither does Gaga. Here’s what she said:

“I love the rumor that I have a penis. I’m fascinated by it. In fact, it makes me love my fans even more that this rumor is in the world because 17,000 of them come to an arena every night and they don’t care if i’m a man, a woman, a hermaphrodite, gay, straight, transgendered, or transsexual. They don’t care! They are there for the music and the freedom. This has been the greatest accomplishment of my life- to get young people to throw away what society has taught them is wrong. Gay culture is at the very essence of who I am and I will fight for women and for the gay community until I die.”

See, this is why I kind of love Gaga. I mean, sure, some (many) of her stunts aren’t half as important or groundbreaking as she thinks they are. And she churns out good, solid dance music, not high art, like she – and her diehard monsters – seem to think. But I will always give Gaga credit for respecting her fans and treating them with as much affection, goodwill and love as they show her. It’s not just lip service, in my opinion. She really does embrace the LBGT community fully and completely. Speaking of, Gaga was also talking about her video for her new single, “Alejandro” – she said: “I’ve been unable to find that with a straight man in my life. It’s a celebration and an admiration of gay love – it confesses my envy of the courage and bravery they require to be together. In the video I’m pining for the love of my gay friends – but they just don’t want me.” I’m willing to bet there are quite a few gay dudes out there who would play with Gaga, actually.

Her appreciation for her fans makes me like her as well- I may not be enraptured with her music (although I have three songs on my ipod), but the woman is one hell of a hard worker, and she appreciates the people who make her famous…and she’s just a year older than Lindsay Lohan, to boot.

  2. I would so do this nut job – and I say that as in a crazy calling a crazy crazy! Thank you very much!

    “They don’t care! ”

OF COURSE they care, you delusional twit! Nobody would show up to listen to you wail if it weren’t for the pointless gossip and penis rumors.

And aren’t you too young to be going for the Campy Gay Audience? That’s the sort of desperate gambit you pull when your career crashes down to Spears levels and your original fans grow up.

  4. Heiyah says:

She’s IS a hard worker, makes good dance music–not groundbreaking, but fun– and she’s not facially so beautiful that her looks make you look in the mirror and hate what you see.

The fabricated interview that started that whole rumor was alegedly from an ex-boyfriend who for Sh*ts and giggles put it out there just to see how damaging it could get. That would kill me if people started saying that about me, that my nose was too big and I was just too ugly to be a woman, so therefore I must have a penis. I really really wouldn’t be able to handle it. Wouldn’t you be so depressed?

okay, i get what she’s saying and agree to a point, and also like that she appreciates her fans…and that she does try to see what she does in a sense of a larger accomplishment.
However, and this is a caveat that may not be popular to some, there is something unnerving about the ‘adrogyny’ being thrown at the world as a concept-that it’s something to aspire to, as though it’s the ‘natural way’….it may be natural for some people, but so is heterosexuality.

This message of androgyny and everyone’s bisexual, is being pimped by the media, and it becomes as though you cannot be real or normal without being gay or bi.

    No, I am not christian.
I just find it interesting, how we are conditioned by social and media outlets to absorb certain behaviors and mindsets. Yes, of course, being gay or bi or a hermaphrodite is natural, too. That’s my point: it’s all real and natural, if it’s really true for you,or for a given person.
Not as a trend or fashion statement-which IMO is what gag (typo and it stays) portrays/expresses-a trendy version of ‘who knows and who cares’.

The irony is, as someone mentiond already, of course her fans care that she’s all of these things-or maybe one or two of them. That is why they come-to make their own perceived political statement thru being a gaga fan. otherwise, you can just go watch earth, wind and fire, and dance, you know? lol. no idea why that band came to mind.

She used to piss me off, but as time goes on I like her more and more. Not everything has to be so fucking serious, she makes music that is fun to dance to when my friends & I are shitfaced, and her dedication is endearing. I think she will only get better with time and hopefully some of her lyrics less embarrassing.

  8. Hm, pretty good post. Do you offer some kind of subscription service because I can’t locate it.
