Lindsay Lohan’s SCRAM registered her at .04, despite her “clean” urine test (update)

I call this photo, “The Crackhead in the Mirror”. In case your couldn’t tell, this is Lindsay Lohan out and about in LA, braless and wearing some f-cked up backless sweatshirt. Classy. Anyway, exactly ten days ago, Lindsay Lohan’s bail was revoked and a new bench warrant with a new $200,000 bail was set. Lindsay made bail within hours, but the drama continued about exactly what went down. Not-so-allegedly, Lindsay Lohan had a drink or two while out partying after the MTV Movie Awards. Maybe her SCRAM bracelet let off some kind alarm, maybe not. But when the prosecution and the judge met the next day to go over the data that the SCRAM had accumulated, they determined that Lindsay had been consuming alcohol, in violation of her probation. Now, according to Lindsay’s lawyer, Lindsay took a urine test “shortly after the alert” and it came back “negative” for alcohol. What the hell?

Lindsay Lohan didn’t have alcohol in her system when her SCRAM bracelet went off earlier this month at an MTV Awards afterparty, according to her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley.

A urine test taken shortly after the alert showed a negative result for alcohol, said Holley.

An L.A. district attorney spokeswoman wasn’t aware of the negative test result. The DA’s office previously said the alert was “an alcohol-related violation.” It remains unclear what triggered the device. Holley also denied that Lohan tampered with the bracelet.

Lohan, 23, remains free on $200,000 bail – a new amount which the judge set in her case on June 8 after the SCRAM alert. Lohan remains subject to weekly random drug testing and must abstain from alcohol.

The actress still faces a probation violation hearing on July 6. She could get up to six months in jail if a judge determines that she hasn’t fully complied with her probation terms.

E! Online was first to report on the negative alcohol test.

So here’s my question – how long after Lindsay’s consumption of several vodka tonics did she take the urine test? Because her lawyer isn’t being specific about that at all, and I’m getting the feeling they did the test the day after – like, probably 12 hours or so after she drank. So what’s the point? Just more cracked-out lies and justifications for why she’s just a victimized milkaholic? Or is Lindsay actually telling the truth? Was she just drinking fermented tea (Kombucha) or whatever?

UPDATE: Radar is now reporting that their sources confirm Lindsay’s “alcohol level ranged from .03 to .04 from midnight to 3 a.m on June 6, during the hours after the MTV awards.” According to a source close to the situation: “There was absolutely no doubt that Lindsay was drinking, and the report that the alcohol monitoring service provided to Judge Revel was very detailed and extremely reliable.” Also, the dumb bitch allegedly tampered with her SCRAM: “The (SCRAM) report also says that Lohan’s SCRAM bracelet had indeed been tampered with, and this is one of the reasons that Judge Revel determined that Lindsay violated terns of her bail.”

like the way she parts her hair down the back, to maximize her revealed-skin score.

  2. lucy2 says:

The SCRAM registers ANY alcohol, right? I would think that’s a heck of a lot more reliable compared to a urine test (her mother probably peed for her) and if that test was done hours after the SCRAM went off, the alcohol could already have been processed out, right?

I call this photo, “The Crackhead in the Mirror”.
    ******
I call that quote a work of art! You rock!~

  4. Anne de Vries says:

What would stop her from storing up her urine in advance, anyway?

  5. Ruby Red Lips says:

    @ lucy2…Totally agree

  6. Lenore says:

Anne De Vries: “What would stop her from storing up her urine in advance, anyway?”

You jest! At no point in the last five years has Lindsay Lohan contained urine less than 50% proof. It would HAVE to be someone else’s.

  7. bite me says:

when is this irresponsible person going to jail… this s***t is unacceptable

  8. Praise St. Angie! says:

egad, based on the UPDATE you gave us…this trick needs a jail sentence.

the tampering was probably her trying to remove the battery…”if it’s not on, they won’t know I’m drinking, right?”

yeah, you dumbass, but they’ll ALSO know that it’s not on.

  9. lucy2 says:

If she was only .04, it was probably out of her system in just a few hours.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. But hey, she doesn’t have a problem and shouldn’t even have to be wearing it!

  10. Jazz says:

That paparazzi dude with the baseball cap looks like a budget Adam Sandler.

  11. Obvious says:

*sigh* im’ back to feeling sorry for her. She is so delusional she believes all her lies. I really wish someone would take her home, feed her a few meals, lock her in their basement dungeon and force her to get clean again.

  12. ams says:

@ melanie…me too girl. kaiser is my hero!

  13. Lisa S says:

I do not feel sorry for her. The problem is that people need to stop writing about her, taking her picture, etc. Just completely ignore her. Which I am going to do from here on out. I will no longer even take the time to read anything else about this delusional person and her family. What a waste.

  14. gg says:

You can’t fake a police urine test, guys. You’re locked in a room, frisked, etc.

  15. sally karson says:

You can buy stuff to drink that will clean your system an hour before testing…I know. I am a recovering drug addict (have been clean for 7 years). She’s a moron. It will catch up.

  16. N.D. says:

Guys, are you sure about numbers? Because from .03 to .04 is a very low level. It’s less than 50g (2oz) of vodka I think. And if the person was drinking heavily or regularily for some time before this drinka-and-test then they would have higher then normal level of endogenous alcohol and the amount needed to get to such numbers would be even less.

So in Lindsey’s case she’d need to make like 2 galps of someone’s coctail to get there.

I’m not trying to find excuses for her, she’s clearly a mess, just curious about these numbers.

  17. Paul E. tStanley says:

Which is crazier? That she drank and tampered with the SCRAM?

Or, that the judge let her walk away with nothing happening to her?

Or, that I’m obsessed with wanting her to go to jail.

You all know if one of us “regular people” had violated or probation, we would have be throw in jail that very night.

  18. Lisa Turtle says:

Why don’t they snatch a few peices of that ratty hair and test it for the works: cocaine, heroin, painkillers, booze, etc. She’s surely been ingesting a nice cocktail of drugs the past -oh say- year or so?

  19. Q says:

Why is doubling the bail amount a reaction to someone violating bail terms? Throw her skanky drunk ass in jail, like you would with any non-famous 23 year old!

  20. YeahTOAST says:

@gg is right…someone wouldn’t be able to pee for you because of the protocol that drug tests are done in…so it’s probably what @sally said…she took something to clean her out.

She’s a crafty crack head but she’s smart enough to get away with these shennanigans with that particular judge.

  21. Majosha says:

Lisa: Because the hair on her head is likely made of polyester, lol.

I’m with Paul E Stanley — this bitch needs to be in jail. It’s ridiculous to me that she gets to repeatedly violate the terms of her probation without any apparent consequences (save for the financial ones, which she clearly doesn’t care about). If the judge doesn’t lock her up after this July hearing, the people of LA need to storm the courthouse with pitchforks and torches.

  22. Larissa says:

oh, I can totally picture her drinking 5 litres of gatorade after that party!!!!

  23. bellaluna says:

    Throw. Her. Ass. In. Jail.

The point is not how much alcohol was in her system; the point is that alcohol was in her system, period. NO DRINKING means just that.

@ sally k. – Congrats on 7 years sobriety. Keep up the good work.

  24. Gail says:

Everybody wants her to go to jail so bad, why?? You think she won’t get special treatment in jail? Don’t be so gullible. She’ll get to lay around on her ass for a couple months with nobody bothering her. She’ll have all the sex and drugs she can handle, and they brew their own alcohol in jail too. It will be a free vacation for her. I say we keep her out of jail because it sounds like just her kind of thing.

  25. hellen says:

No wonder her assistant quit – Linds was probably trying to get the poor girl to pee for her.

  26. Jeri says:

Confused by the update: Is she in violation?

  27. Feebee says:

@ Gail, I don’t care if she gets special treatment in jail. She’d still be in jail. The reasons she’s not in jail, with multiple bail transgressions is beginning to piss people off.

  28. Lem says:

I’m not buying anything her lawyer says either; for the record

  29. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

I was about the say the same thing! Who is this DUMBASS lawyer with the imprecise language who can’t keep tabs on her client…ever? I know that she’s not her babysitter, and you can tell that Ms. Holley is more than over it with this case–with due reason. But this kid is making both the judge and her defense lawyer look like soft-brained fools. How does she keep managing to give them both the runaround? Lindsay Lohan makes herself into a spectacle, but she’s not the only who is being made to look foolish in this situation. I mean, the both of them look likwe simpering little school girls who aren’t talking to their teddy bear right now because of the horrible things he said to Raggedy Ann at the last tea party. I would be professionally humiliated if I were getting ground into the dust by a person who seems contemptuous of due process and ungrateful for the service and attempted counsel of her defense.

How–no, why should I take these people seriously in their profession when they don’t even seem to know what day it is? Did Lindsay’s inside guy drug them?

Allegedly, all persons under the law have the same rights–even when we’re irritated by them. This is as it should be, but…the next time Ms. Holley has to play Magical Negro, I hope it’s for a client who bathes.

  30. katyalia says:

@ Gail: I, for one, would like her to go jail so it might dawn on her that she can NOT ‘do whatever she wants because she’s a celebrity’.
Plus, all special treatments aside, I doubt they’ll let her out everynight just because she feels the need to attend a random party and weasel herself into some free designer clothes…

@ Jeri: I would assume so, as the judge had revoked her bail due to the SCRAM report immediately. Doesn’t matter what the lawyer states now about urine tests hours later. They did not put that bracelet on her so she can tone down her drinking, they told her to not drink at all.

  31. Michelle says:

Just to gross everyone out, another way to “pass” a urine test is to fill your empty bladder with someone else’s urine right before the test using a catheter. It’s actually quite easy to do since many people have to learn to “self-catheterize” for a variety of urinary medical problems.

  32. Liana says:

It pretty darned easy to flush alcohol out of your system, especially the morning after. If she had one or two drinks or whatever, it would more than likely be history in the urine the following morning, especially if you flush with plenty of water. A urine test for alcohol is useless, that’s why they use SCRAMs in the first place and just don’t do daily urine tests.

  33. Gail says:

@ katyalia: LOL I’m sure going to jail would teach her all kinds of lessons, just like it did Paris Hilton. Oh wait…

  34. GatsbyGal says:

What the fuck?! Why isn’t she in prison, then?

  35. Mary says:

    UGH.
    SO.
    SICK.
    OF.
    THIS.
    GIRL.

  36. Trashaddict says:

Ok since when do they screen URINE for alcohol? I’ve heard of blood alcohol levels. I have heard of urine drug tests, but not for alcohol. So maybe her crafty lawyer was speaking the “legal” truth: technically, the urine drug test didn’t have alcohol! I smell a rat. Any posters heard of urine alcohol screening???

  37. Kate says:

I used to work for child welfare services, which meant all the parents on my caseload were getting regular urinalysis drug tests. It is possible to screen urine for alcohol, but difficult to catch, since alcohol leaves the system very quickly. However, it is possible to test the urine for a particular enzyme that alcohol breaks down into for up to 5 days following alcohol use.

  38. skeptical says:

I want to know the definition of “shortly after”. How “shortly after” the party was the urine collected? Methinks Holley is just trying to make her crackhead client look good. After all the worse Lindsay looks, the worse Holley looks too.

  39. juiceinla says:

((Sings)) “I’m looking at the crackhead in the mirror/I don’t needs to change mai ways/no message could be any clearer, if you want to make the world a crackier place/You Gotta Get It Right, While You Got The Time/’Cause when you roll that bill and snort that line/your scram anklette goes off/and you blow your Mind…”
