I was checking to see if there were any new photos of Angelina Jolie, and up popped these photos of Jacqueline Bisset, Angelina’s godmother. Jackie looks good, doesn’t she? She’s one of those actresses “of a certain age” who haven’t f-cked with their faces. The list grows shorter by the day – and it includes awesome ladies like Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren and Judi Dench. Jackie should be on the list, because it’s just so refreshing to see a once-drop-dead-gorgeous woman age naturally, and still look so, so stunning. Jackie will be 66 years old in September – she’s a Virgo, like me!
But the thigh-high slit? And the navy tights? And the fug shoes? Okay, so maybe her fashion could use some work. But she still has the legs to pull it off, so I’m not complaining.

D@mn…I wish my legs looked that good! And I’m in my mid-thirties! I think the outfit works for her, because of the dark tights and the fact that her shirt is not revealing at all. My simplified rule for not dressing trashy–highlight one body part at a time. Short, tight, or boobs hanging out–but only one at a time, please.

She looks hot, but I disagree that she hasn’t f’ed with her face. My mom looks like that at 65, and she had a facelift 10 years ago and let it settle. Bisset’s neck is too tight. I bet she had work done a while ago and just doesn’t get injectables.

So refreshing to see an elder woman proudly showing her age ! And she looks beautiful because she has aged gracefully contrary to all the other botox filled actresses out there !

Her neck does look youthful, but I don’t see anything on her face that would suggest a facelift. Maybe she had some kind of neck-lift?

I agree with CB – looks like she had a facelift a long time ago. But it doesn’t look like she’s doing anything currently, like botox or fillers. Good on her, I say. The skirt’s a wee bit short, but lucky her she’s got the legs to pull it off.

BNice-I think your mama and my mama went to the same school of etiquette (assuming your mama gave you this lesson). You can cleave or show a little leg, but never both. And it’s commendable to see a lady “of a certain age” looking so natural. Nicole, Lara Flynn Boyle, and the rest could take notes from that list of ladies.

That outfit is the worst; and the slit is unnecessary and ugh. Having said that, JB looks fantastic, she’s still beautiful and looks like the person/beauty who I know, just with lines (wrinkles) now, it’s awesome – no lips and cheeks and shiny forehead and all that BS, she looks fantastic. Awesome.

My mom and aunts (all between 60-70) look like that or with fewer lines (especially around the eyes) and they haven’t had any work done. Yes, I thank the gene pool every day…

Grandma and I saw Calendar Girls with Helen Mirren, and for an old chick, Helen is way majorly bodacious. And Grandma says this Jaqueline chick was in a movie with Mickey Rourke, something to do with orchids? And she is looking younger than Katie Holmes, so I wonder if being married to a way older dude ages a lady?

My mom has fewer wrinkles than this at 70 and has never had anything done. She had really oily skin when she was young and is slightly overweight (BMI around 26) now and says that’s part of it.

The deep scooped neckline itself is flattering to her, the fabric of the dress and the excessive draping and pulling, not so much. I won’t even go into the bottom half and shoes.
She had something done at some point in the last five years to her neck and at least jawline. She ought to have at least some saggage there, even if she’s aging well. I like that she’s not peeling off the wrinkles obsessively, but, um, if she’s going to dye her hair, could she slide in some styling? I know she’s got some awesome natural curl happening, but she doesn’t need to be frizzy.
I feel sad, now I’ve turned this positive post about aging gracefully into snark, she is less yanked on that too many women her age, but if she’s going to tweak a bit, she kind of ought to do that part gracefully too.
