I have a BFA and I’m glad I didn’t have a 25 year intership! But I understand why some would think it’s unfair. If someone dropped out after two years of journalism and then spent the next 25 working for a news outlet behind the camera, his university would not dare to consider that as credit and give him a degree.
    😈

I liked her better when she was showing us her boobies. 😛

thats funny because in allentown, pa there is a community college who boasts “actress and model Vanessa Williams” is a graduate of their college and that she used her “communication degree” from the college to help further her career….

There are “2” Vanessa Williams in Hollywood. The “other” Vanessa Williams is African-American too and she has been in many movies; but I think people might remember her as being in the first season of Melrose Place…she was the one with the braids…I forget her character’s name on the show. Anyway, since the “other” Vanessa Williams was the first to have her Screen Actors Guild card; they made this Vanessa Williams one of the stars of “Ugly Betty,” change her name to Vanessa L. Williams. So maybe the “other” Vanessa Williams is the one the Community College is talking about in Allentown, PA. I’m not sure.

So wait, I go back to UM after 11 years away and I have to take Spanish and Intro to Religion, etc to finish my degree and all I had to do was spread for Penthouse?

If you return to the same college you started at, a lot of times they will let your old credits if they’re consistent with the program you’re in. Or they grandfather you in under the old program. It depends on how close you were to the end and the program, etc.

I know a girl who couldn’t pass calculus after multiple tries and that was the last class she needed for a degree. 10 years later, they agreed to give her the same degree if she could pass that calculus class.
