Nick Hogan’s jailhouse calls released

Nick Hogan really doesn’t like jail. I mean really. It’s no fun at all – in fact it’s downright boring. Though it appears he hasn’t been made anyone’s bitch (yet), Nick still thinks the place sucks and wishes he’d gone to trial instead of copping a plea. The inmates are allowed to talk on the phone as long as they want at Pinellas County Jail – during their free time of course. Nick spends an average of two hours a day on the phone, generally complaining and whimpering to his mom.

The contents of some of Nick’s conversations have been released, and now we can hear a few of the specifics about just how tough jail really is.

The phone calls began just hours after Nick Bollea was hauled away from the courtroom.

Nick Bollea: “Had I known this, I would have rather gone to trial or I would rather, you know, appeal the case or something. I can’t deal with this for eight months. It’s (Bollea’s cell) like the size of my bathroom.”
Linda Bollea: “Oh!”
Nick: “No windows or nothing. Just one little top bed thing.”
Linda: “Oh my God!”

I know! My God indeed! Now I’m guessing Nick Hogan’s bathroom is bigger than most of our bedrooms. So I am not necessarily impressed by how small his cell is. And it’s not like he’s got a lot of stuff to keep in there. What does it matter how small it is? But I just love the shock and “Oh my God!” I’m guessing that was followed with, “What thread count are the sheets? 200 you say? My God!”

Bollea is being kept in a single cell at the Pinellas County Jail because he is one of only two minors serving time in the adult facility. On the phone, he cries often and is comforted by his mother Linda.

Nick: “All you do is sit there and think, and there’s nothing to think about.”
Linda: “We’ll get through it.”
Nick: “Yeah.”
Linda: “Prove to everyone you’ve learned your lesson and be more careful.”

Bollea asks for anything to pass the time, including books and magazines. He even talks about breaking the world record for sleeping and working out in his cell. On Wednesday his famous father Terry (a.k.a. Hulk Hogan) congratulated him on his time served so far.

Considering how Nick’s family has often reacted to the car crash (which left passenger John Graziano in a vegetative state, probably for life), it’s actually surprising to hear Linda Hogan acknowledge that Nick did do something wrong, and has a lesson to learn. Linda has encouraged Nick’s racing hobby for years, including drag racing – which was what he was doing when he crashed his car.

However she did support Graziano family for a while, renting a condo for his mother to stay in while she kept watch over her son . So it seems like she has some teeny, tiny bit of common sense lacking in father Hulk Hogan, who said the following:

~”I’m very proud of you brother. Very, very proud of you. You’ve been thrown in a tough spot and you’ve handled it better than I could have probably handled it. Any man I know. You’ve really been somebody to look up to.”

Yes, ruining a young man’s life, never taking responsibility or saying sorry directly to his family until you’re forced to in a court of law – you are someone to look up to, Nick Hogan. You’ve ruined many lives. Congrats. I hope the next seven months are filled with deep thoughts… though you’ve already admitted you don’t have many of those.

Is there some kind of book out there that parents are reading on how to raise a totally self-absorbed child? Honestly, I think Nick Hogan is a worse human being then Paris Hilton – I didn’t think that was possible – but it is.

Shame on these parents out there who DO NOT raise their kids with any sense of what being a responsible human being is and to accept the consequence of your own actions.

  2. Jody says:

Well, when the dad runs around in a yellow speedo with a giant handle-bar mustache, this was bound to be the outcome.

  3. KDRockstar says:

    “200 thread count sheets.”

    *Snicker*… good one, JB.

  4. Blonde Ambition says:

This kid acted like he was above the law and rules, in teh act he ruined his friend life and the family as well. To act like its the hardest thing in teh world to sid in a small cell with no responsibility at all for eights months seems like a small price to pay for a person who has lost all mobility and independence for the rest of their life.

Its about time these irresponsible celebs are actually paying for there actions and not getting a slap on the wrist. They should be punished the same if not MORE then anyone else, they are being watched by the eyes of the world, if they want to be idolized then they need to fall harder when they screw up due to ” I can get away with anything” syndrome.

  5. Tammy says:

Why does this kid look 30 years old?

  6. california angel says:

Punishment is difficult? Oh My God! newsflash..

  7. anon says:

I would think that Hulk would feel a little bad considering the fact he bought the beer for his 17 year old son who after drinking it, went out driving.

  8. JayBird says:

Not to make the most superficial comment here, but Nick’s going to want to consider some Botox once he’s out of the slammer. Those are some serious forehead wrinkles for a 17-year-old.

  9. sympathy for this spoiled little whiner? No way. How about some forhis victim… hmmmm?

  10. elisha says:

Nick looks sooo old in that picture!

  11. gekazoid:P says:

Discusting excuses for human beings. Ther are good families out there who could use such lavish comforts and a good roof over their heads but nooo peopel like this creep get rewarded got their sins.

  12. journey says:

nick: all you do is sit there and think, and there’s nothing to think about.

no wonder the boy is miserable and crying to his mommy, all there is to do is think, and he’s obviously incapable of that thought process. how painful for him. 😛

  13. vdantev says:

    and I care because…..

wow, I concur he looks 40 years old there.

  14. insidescoop says:

How did they get a transcript of their phone conversation? Is it normal for the police to release inmate phone calls? Strange…

On another note, I have a friend who was recently arrested for a fairly serious crime. She said the hardest thing was keeping yourself occupied. Many people become medicated or violent as a result of the stress of the situation combined with the lack of activities to keep you occupied. SHe has found that taking advantage of the services offered, as well as starting groups or offering classes has not only helped her to ward off depression but also helped her to provide insight in what was going on at that time and why she made the choices that she did.

It would be great if Nick Hogan were able to do that for himself…

  15. Randi says:

I’m still hoping the Hogans have to pay out one heck of a settlement. The 8 months are obviously not enough.

  16. P says:

    A family of morons.

  17. ADD says:

Too much sun, drugs and drink + not enough sleep or parental guidance/example = 17 year old who looks 40 in jail.
And his comments prove once again he’s an idiot. If he’d gone to trial he would’ve gotten the max. I’d’ve been foine with that.

  18. Kathy says:

Nick has a receeding hairline combined with thin blonde hair, that assures he will be bald like his father before he’s out of his early 20s. That’s what makes him look 30-40. The family also does not believe in sun protection, so the fine lines and wrinkles just add to the older look in both father and son.

  19. kristen says:

I just watched Nancy Grace and cannot believe my ears!!! Nick asking his parents how he can make the most money off of this jail sentence! A reality show. Not once in the phone call did they mention the state of health of his passenger John. How morally wrong of the Hogan family. Shame on the Hulk and Linda Hogan for raising such spolied brats as their children. Where are the morals. I use to really enjoy the Hogans but their true colors have been exposed. Thank goodness that tape was released fron Nick’s jail so the public could see the family for what they really are. SHAME!!!!

  20. This kid is such a douchebag. He needs to be body slammed into a wall.

  21. Tammy says:

reality show family need a reality check! I hope they bring charges against Terry Hogan for suplying the booze! I hope they loose all of there money & indorsments & have to live in the real world!

  22. Tammy says:

P.S. Linda Hogan acts likje they are the victims! How sad to be so damn stupid!

  23. Jessica says:

This spoiled little brat should be happy they stuck him in solitary. My father was a prison guard and if they allow him out amoung the other prisioners they would beat his a** for being such a heartless POS. This idoit almost killed someone and that kid will never be right for the rest of his life and spoiled little rich boy can’t take a punishment for 8 months without crying about it. It’s sickening.

  24. Kendra says:

I can’t believe this little shit only has to remain in prison for less than a year. We can only hope that the Graziano family will be able to squeeze every penny from the Hogan clan. They deserve it for the future costs of his disability and all the shit that Nick & his family has put them through. This fam is deplorable!

  25. Brooke says:

NICK HOGAN = HOTTEST!!!IM NOT A FAN BUT……HES SO HOT AND TOTALLY BEAUTIFUL
