Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt in talks for a variety TV show – starring them!

When I first read this story I thought that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were pitching a variety talent contest similar to “America’s Got Talent,” but no, they want a variety TV show starring themselves as Sonny and Cher types with bigger teeth and without the talent. And they’re actually said to be in negotiations with ABC for this:

Fame hogs Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt think they’re the next Sonny and Cher. The annoying couple from The Hills believe they can make it big with a variety television sho, Star has learned exclusively. “There will be plenty of singing, rapping, skits and special guests,” an insider tells Star. “Heidi says that being able to recreate such a fun hit show would be a dream come true.”

Heidi, 21, and Spencer, 24, are currently in talks with ABC to develop a weekly hour-long show.

[From Star Magazine, print edition, July 18, 2007]

This couple routinely defends Heidi’s awful music completely straight-faced as if they’re not in on the joke, so this is easily something they would consider. There’s hope that it’s a fake story, though, since Star Magazine seems to make up so much. If by some chance it is true, let’s pray that executives at ABC and any other network they might pitch come to their senses and realize what a terrible show this would be. Maybe they’re counting on that though, and hope people will turn in just to make fun of these two. The cringe factor will easily outweigh any brief amount of entertainment these two are capable of scrounging up.

WHY GOD WHY? WHY HAVEN’T YOU SMITED THESE LOSERS YET?

  4. velvet elvis says:

Well it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had to shoot my tv.

  5. Bobafet says:

The only time I would tune in to watch anything starring these two mouth breathers would be the to watch them publicly executed. 👿

  6. devilgirl says:

When are they going to get the hint that they are universally despised by everyone!

  7. fsdf says:

Ive never seen the Hills but I always see them in gossip sites and they look annoying as hell. Please don’t be on my ABC, you bitches!

  8. Mollination says:

why doesn’t someone throw something at them? If I lived in L.A. I would wait outside every cell-phone launch party in the city with something squishy and warm (or blunt and heavy) and throw it at their fucking heads right when the camera snapped a pic! It would be priceless! How come?!?!?! How come no one does this!?!?!? GET THROUGH TO THEM!

  9. Syko says:

They just set my teeth on edge. How can supposedly savvy network people let them go on and on? I don’t know a single person who likes them. Our television networks have been taken over by aliens.

  10. kate says:

@ G: laughing my ever lovin’ ass off at that comment! yeah…how come these two assclowns can’t get caught in a typhoon or something?!

  11. Shay says:

I would usually say..no this would never happen but ABC did green light the Caveman show. I’d get a kick out of watching it mocking them I would just hope that anyone with a Nielson box would stay away from it.

  12. Amy says:

Are you guys kidding me?! We’d all watch this shite, similar to our inability to look away from a wreck on the side of the road.

I would LOVE to see them make total asses of themselves for two episodes until it gets canceled. It would make for some awesome YouTube mashups, fer sure. 😆

Has ABC gone very stupid?? P;ease tell me this is an idiots tale….

  14. Baggy says:

ABC has really blown this one if true… These two are without a doubt absoloutely ridiculous, not entertaining or even attractive. What would the network be thinking???

  15. hello says:

Maybe, this is a stretch, but MAYBE ABC is going to come through on the one live death they owe us.

Remember when David Blaine was supposed to stay in a bubble filled with water for 9 minutes? They promoted it with the slogan, he will succeed or die trying. Maybe ABC decided that although David Blaine is creepy, people like seeing magicians do their stuff…good ratings that come in again and again. Heidi and Spencer will get ratings once, so maybe we get to vote for which one to be rid of and get the promised one death? Fingers crossed!

PS I apologize for being so violent tonight. First Pete Doroty (sp is wrong), then this. Sorry people!

why do we pay so much attention to losers ? The general public is responsible for all the idiots that now are called “stars” , kate gossling , john gossling , octo mom , levi johnson , ballon boy dad ,spencer and heidi. Where has all of the real entertainers and stars gone . Classic hollywood is dead , everyone seems to act worst than the person before them , it’s the way to get into the public eye. stop ,please stop.
