We have further confirmation of the elusive couple known as “Jaylor.” This time, their publicist didn’t release the blurry cellphone pic of dubious origin to every celebrity outlet and instead let TMZ have the exclusive photo, with People breathlessly reporting the details. Here we have Jake Gyllenhaal, 29, and Taylor Swift, 20, getting coffee yet again in Taylor’s hometown of Nashville. It will be a few weeks, if ever, before we see some carefully staged paparazzi photos. The public is just too jaded to accept that they’re together after seeing some staged photos. Instead, we’re subjected to sickeningly sweet prose detailing their designer coffee preferences. Jake just loves maple lattes. People even titled this story, which is at the top of their website as I’m writing this: Taylor and Jake: A Whole Latte Love?

Baristas, be on the lookout: Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift may soon be ordering maple lattes at your shop.

The revved-up duo have been spending more time in coffee houses recently than the cast of Friends, getting their caffeine as they conduct their own little java tour.

They’re showing no signs of slowing down, with the latest sighting on Tuesday when they stopped into the Frothy Monkey in Nashville around 10 a.m., their second trip to the shop – they were there on Sunday, also.

“Apparently Jake likes a cappuccino with maple syrup,” says a source who saw him order the drink. “Frothy has the real deal in the maple syrup department.”

On Monday, Swift, 20 and Gyllenhaal, 29 – who so far have been said to tip well – sampled cups of Joe at another Nashville shop called Crema.

On Saturday, the pair ducked into Fido, a coffeehouse and café near Vanderbilt University and Music Row.

Even the Thanksgiving holiday didn’t dampen their need for a fix. There were more maple lattes on the menu at Gorilla Coffee in Brooklyn, N.Y., when the two stars popped in for specialty maple lattes made with pure Vermont syrup.

Then there was that fun-packed weekend in New York in October, when they brunched with another couple at Al Di La in Brooklyn and, says an onlooker, looked “friendly.” It’s probably a safe bet to say they both ordered … coffee.

Lay it on a little thicker, PR people. We were buying it with the one cellphone pic and some details of their breakfast outings, but this is ridiculous. There’s an obvious formula to the rollout of this relationship, and Jaylor’s people are pushing it too hard.

Commenter Malin said in our last post on Jaylor that the first cellphone pic originated on Twitter and first got attention through ONTD. That’s not the case, though, as the person who Tweeted the photo had a totally different name than the source People claimed took the pic, and the photo was up on Perez Hilton’s site first. Whether these photos are legitimately being taken by onlookers or not, they’re only being sold/given to celebrity sites, and they’re not being posted to facebook or twitter first. Coupled with the flowery descriptions of Jaylors outings (coffee runs, apple picking, romantic post-coital breakfasts!) it’s all suspect.
