  1. They did that in front of small children? Wow. Just wow. That’s not a good thing.

  2. Jordan was voted mother of the year 2007…

I guess the English identify with her. She does say it how it is and people do see that as a quality in people.
Sexuality is a part of family life.

  3. Sigh. They issued a lawsuit because a former nanny accused them of negligence and cruelty to Harvey, not because of any potential adoption considerations. A lawsuit which they won outright. Katie’s a lot of things but she’s never been anything other than devoted to Harvey, and the same goes for Peter (although he IS a bit of a twat.)

Little bit of logic always helps.

  4. I don’t doubt their devotion to their kids but they are not the best parents. From what I can decipher, they are having difficulties copying with their kids without adding any other ones. Having a burnt child is not testimony of your good parental skills. And even though I don’t doubt their devotion, why adopt a child who will most likely end up burnt and in accidents like Harvey.

I can’t help but think she is jumping onto the adoption bandwagon. If they adopt a child, it will increase rating for their show. I would like to see Banda Rchie or the Brangelina brood at home. ( No Ideas Brangelina, don’t start a reality show in order to doate the money to charity. LOL).

  5. I am from the Uk and I certainly don’t identify with her.

  6. I should also add that I thought their very young nanny made some good points. Most of which are seen on their show. And don’t forget she saved Harvey’s life while injuring herself & then they sacked her for taking a holiday to recover. Really mean to how they did it. (throwing her stuff out, laughing about it, dissing her in front of David Guest, then telling her to get lost on live tv etc) poor girl.

  7. If they want to give a home to a child with a disability, then good for them. Rather that than it stays permanently in its cot, never being picked up or given any physical affection. Because that’s the reality of most orphanages in Eastern Europe, disability or no disability.

She’s no role model for anyone but even I’m not cynical enough to believe they’d do this to increase ratings.

  8. I also wanted to add that I don’t know how their show hasn’t been taken off air and I don’t know WHO the heck voted Jordan/Katie mother of the year (altho these things are always seemingly given to dubious people)

Don’t forget to that Katie thought it was funny to teach Harvey how to say “F off” which he repeats on tv to Peter & she laughs at.

And they are always leaving the kids Junior and Harvey and only taking Tiiami with them. In the latest show she’s having a ball in the USA and admits she hasn’t seen either boys for two weeks. On their return, she’s constantly “bye junior, bye harvey” off she goes again. Seeing Junior’s little tantrums at being left yet again are so sad :(

  9. What are these people famous for? I’ve never heard of them.

While I admire anyone who wants to help a child, I wonder about this pair, just based on this single article and the comments posted. And please…Princess Tiaamii? Really? There’s a marked lack of judgement right there.

  10. i just read a mag article on this exact thing yesterday (adopting out of pity), and they’re doing this for ALL the wrong reasons - you’re NUMBER 1 reason for adopting should be because you want to be a parent and love someone. Adopting out of pity, to give a child a better life is admirable, but that’s not what kids really need.

  11. While I understand being open about sexuality with your children, and being willing to discuss it with them, most kids only want to know about the facts in general, not YOUR sexuality, because in their minds, the idea of you even having a sexuality is disgusting - and demonstrating it for them goes way too far. Some things are meant to be private.

Dragging contagious, sick kids out to go shopping is not an intelligent decision either. Nor is naming one of those kids “Princess Tiaamii”.

While adopting a child from an impoverished country, and a handicapped child at that, seems admirable on the surface, those kids have really special needs and I wonder how much time these twits will be willing to devote to helping that child?

On the other hand, it might be better than spending your life in a crib in an institution.

  12. You know how long it takes for chicken pox blisters to go away? Once they start crusting over the child is no longer contagious and going out in public is not an issue. You cant keep the kid stuck in the house for 2 weeks until all the sores go away! Im sure she consulted with her GP and did the right thing. I dont care much for either of them but I think they really enjoy being parents and its admirable of them to take on the care and upbringing of another disabled child. It just goes to show that they don’t see the child as a fashion accessory as so many other stars do.

  13. I’d say they’re pretty aware of what looking after a child with quite severe disabilities involves, having cared for one for the last 6 years.

  14. Bobafet: Actually you can keep an ailing child in the house for two weeks. Both my daughters had chicken pox, one after the other, and even though their fevers subsided and the pox had scabbed, they still did not really feel well. Certainly not well enough to be dragged along on a shopping expedition, as is evidenced by the photos of the screaming Princess Tiamii (or however you spell it) and the fact that the child was rushed to the hospital at some point during the shopping trip. I am not saying they aren’t qualified to care better for a poor child from an impoverished country than the orphanages in the country could. I’m just saying they don’t often use good judgment with respect to their kids. But hey, I was far from a perfect mom myself, and my kids are okay.

  16. I don’t have an opinion on their parental abilities because I don’t watch their show (nor would I ever) but I sure do hate her black hair.

  18. Who are these people? Is this a British thing?

Report this comment as spam or abuse

  19. Yes this is a British thing. Peter Andre is a D grade former Aussie pop singer and Jordan (Katie Price) is a D grade former British glamour model who ‘does’ reality shows and is also rather famous for the amount of plastic surgery she’s had. Peter and Jordan met on a celebrity survival show…

They obviously love their kids, but KP in particular has always come across as incredibly self-centered and quite immature in many ways. Her husband (Peter Andre) has gone on record saying her drinking concerns him, that she turns into a different person when she’s had a few, becomes extremely argumentative and has really bad judgement. And these comments were made shortly after Princess Tiiami’s birth (’scuse spelling).

You can love your kids but still behave like a twat…and she does…regularly. Andre is definitely the more stable of the two…

  20. Katie Price may be many things, but a bimbo is not one of them. That woman a will of pure iron. (as a side note, she is looking deathly ill of late - she had such a pretty face but has been looking miserable and gaunt for a while now).

But back to the adoption thing, I would like to point out that this is not a new whim. Some years back, when she was still known as “Jordan” and before meeting Peter Andre, she gave interviews where she said she would like to adopt a disabled child “to keep Harvey company” as it were.

  21. I don’t think they are as bad of parents as people maintain. I think it’s probably really hard to be perfect all the time for the media. I also respect them because from what I know of them, they have one nanny, and do spend quite a bit of time with their kids.

I agree that she has a will of iron too. I don’t think i could have any other children if I’d had one that was disabled already. She seems trashy, sure, but pretty determined to succeed in many things, including child rearing.

As for Harvey getting burned, I can understand that. Even if he is disabled he can be one of THOSE kids. I was one. My parents were investigated by child protective services when I was little because by the time I was four I had had stitches in my chin four times. They weren’t beating me. I was very fond of wandering off and trying to do things myself. I also didn’t (and still don’t) have the reaction of putting your arms out when you fall, which equals busted chin! If my parents were famous they would have been portrayed so horribly! My parents kept my very safe in my opinion, and did a great job, but you know what? I have a bunch of scars under my chin. Accidents happen!

  22. judging from katie’s backround, i actually think she’s a good mother. Why does everybody hate them?
Forget Jordan n’ judge Katie, the person!
