  1. Lindz is looking great

  2. Why is she so touchy about being identified as gay?

She looks like she’s found a great partner and is very happy, and it’s not like they’re hiding their affections from the world.

Yet when anyone suggests that she might be gay, she starts getting all fussy.

I don’t think Bratton is the one with the problem here.

  3. haha looks like she’s been smoking a spliff, you can see her blowing out smoke and she’s thrown the whole cig on the ground :?

  4. Sounds like Bratton’s wanting a little bit of that celebrity spotlight for himself.

  5. I’m sure that will endear her to the cops next time her car is parked somewhere too long or she’s going a little too fast.

  6. I don’t get it — is it October already in L.A.? What’s with all the sweatshirts and layers? Or do they not have enough body fat to keep warm?

  7. I guess I’m going to give Bratton the benefit of the doubt. He didn’t say “going gay” was bad or anything. It wasn’t like it was a formal press conference, the paps caught him coming out of his gym!

And Lindsey’s comment is ridiculous. She should of just stayed silent. Like she was the Garbo (who also “went gay”) of the new century.

  9. I don’t know if anyone ever at all (not you guys) can read, but he said “evidently”, which means, as supported by evidence… well, all those pictures she loves to be in. If she doesnt want to be shown a specific way, she shouldn’t act that way.

All she does is milk paps or stories. If she is gay, she should just be proud of it, there is nothing to be ashamed of or hide.

And lastly, what he said about Britney and Paris was in the same vein and no one gives a crap. I don’t know if that relates or anything, but interesting, right?

Lindsay is 22… she needs to grow up.

  10. *slaps Lindsay* Notice the smoke coming out of her mouth? But where is her cigarette…on the ground behind her. I don’t care if you are a “celeb” or not, pick up your garbage!!! *slaps her again*

  11. The actual comment Lindsay made was “Police chiefs shouldn’t get involved in everyone else’s business when it comes to their personal life. It’s inappropriate,” therefore she didn’t ‘erroneously address all police’.

I think that Chief Bratton said what he did to get exactly what he did… publicity. Chief Bratton is upset that he might have to designate a task force to dealing specifically with the paps. While I see his point about how some celebs bring the publicity upon themselves, it can also be seen from the perspective of the celebs who have to deal with continuously being hounded by the paps even when they are with their children. I think something definitely needs to be done… whether it’s enforcing some law that only allows paps to be a certain distance from the celebs or not allowing paps to photographs celebs when they are with their children, etc. but take one look on any given day at TMZ to see how crazy the paps can get.

  12. Braaten is a douche. He had no business making those stupid comments about specific people. He also insulted the city council for holding a hearing on laws to control the paps - which he characterized as a waste of time. John Mayer testified at the hearing and was quite articulate in his endorsement of a law to control the paps. Bratten should be fired.

Lindsay is misquoted here. What she really said was entirely appropriate.

  13. I don’t think for a second she’s “gone gay.” It’s convenient publicity. She can hardly get any attention for being with guys, I mean yawn.

  14. Of course this supposed “gay” relationship is for publicity. This is Hohan’s last desperate act for attention. She can’t party and Hohan it up like she used to without looking bad, so she’s pulling this stunt.

  15. I don’t know, I don’t think its publicity…She just doesn’t seem to want the spotlight as much, and we all know she has issues. She was a big ol’ skank for a long while, maybe that was her way of “tricking herself” into being straight. Maybe now she is embracing it finally. Who knows. I certainly hope this isn’t a stunt. Or an Anne Heche moment.

  16. Everyone, good comments; since you all already covered Chief B’s comments and Lindsay’s, I’m going to remark on a particular section of this story that no one has commented on yet–the police themselves.

I think it IS the cops’ business where and with whom these “celebrities” are, but only in the context of protecting the rest of us “normal” citizens; after all, when Britney was doing her random driving, getting stopped by the cops probably saved some innocent people’s lives–by all accounts, during these driving spells, she didn’t exactly obey the rules of the road, and has rear-ended several people! I kept expecting to see that she’d run over some poor pedestrian somewhere! *shudder*

As a soon-to-be officer myself, I find it obnoxious and incredibly self-serving for these “celebrities” to insult the police like this–they don’t hesitate to call when ANYTHING in their little lives is wrong, but let the cops say anything back, and people like Lindsay are immediately upset and post angry (ok, stupidly funny)videos to put the police in their place. *gives up, LOL*

Police must know what’s going on in their towns—if there is a hometown football game, we need to know so we can post extra officers to keep an eye on the area; if there is a concert, the same, etc. Because the paps have been crossing the line of acceptable behavior so frequently now, it’s their jobs to know what celebrities are where, in case of whatever…right?

  18. “Gone gay”? WTF is he trying to say here! “Gone bananas”? “Gone to the dogs”? For a spokesman you would think he could be a little more articulate. :|

  22. I think he meant that now she is in her lesbian relationship, she’s calmed down instead of whoring it up on the streets of hollywood every night. But it’s not so much her “going gay” that did the trick as it is her being in a stable relationship. I think the chief could have phrased it more accurately by saying it that way.
