‘The Kennedys’ miniseries cancelled, is Katie Holmes’ robotic acting to blame?

kennedysposter

In nearly every interview over the past six months, Katie Holmes has been talking up her role as Jackie Kennedy in The History Channel miniseries The Kennedys. It was going to be The History Channel’s first big miniseries project, and they spent a lot of money on the production, and they really got some good cast members – Greg Kinnear as Jack, Barry Pepper as Bobby, Tom Wilkinson as Joe Sr. Anyway, the whole thing has been cancelled by The History Channel. It’s been filmed, but THC just announced on Friday that it will not air… on their channel. There is a possibility that they will end up selling the miniseries to another channel.

Which brings me to a question… can we blame Katie Holmes for this? The talking out of the side of her mouth is so not Jackie. Neither is Katie’s general Joey Potter acting style. BUT… I just watched the trailer for the miniseries, and while Katie doesn’t really look good, she doesn’t look devastatingly bad either. Of course, it also seems like whoever cut the trailer was trying to avoid showing many scenes where Katie had to “act”. Also, what’s with the funky accent work all around?

Here’s more about the cancellation:

Ambitious miniseries was set to air this spring; stars Greg Kinnear and Katie Holmes, and producer Joel Surnow were told today of cancellation. In a surprise move, A&E Television Networks has canceled plans to broadcast The Kennedys, the ambitious and much-anticipated miniseries about the American political family that was set to air this spring on the History channel.

“Upon completion of the production of The Kennedys, History has decided not to air the 8-part miniseries on the network,” a rep for the network tells The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. “While the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand.”

The multi-million dollar project—History and Lifetime president and general manager Nancy Dubuc’s first scripted miniseries at the network and its most expensive program ever—has been embroiled in controversy since it was announced in December 2009. Developed by Joel Surnow, the conservative co-creator of 24, along with production companies Asylum Entertainment and Muse Entertainment and writer Stephen Kronish, the project drew fire from the political left and some Kennedy historians. Even before cameras rolled, a front-page New York Times story last February included a sharp attack from former John F. Kennedy adviser Theodore Sorensen, who called an early version of the script “vindictive” and “malicious.”

History and parent A&E said at the time that the script had been revised and that the final version had been vetted by experts. Indeed, the script used in production had passed muster with History historians for accuracy. Despite the controversy, History was able to recruit a big-ticket cast to the project, announcing in April that Greg Kinnear (John F. Kennedy), Katie Holmes (Jackie Kennedy), Barry Pepper (Robert F. Kennedy) and Tom Wilkinson (Joe Kennedy) would co-star. The actors and CAA, which reps both Kinnear and Holmes, were told this afternoon of the cancellation. Surnow also was told today.

No advertisers had registered complaints or concerns with the miniseries, confirms an A&E spokesperson, but the content was not considered historically accurate enough for the network’s rigorous standards. So an air date, which had not been announced but was planned for spring, was scrapped.

“We recognize historical fiction is an important medium for storytelling and commend all the hard work and passion that has gone into the making of the series, but ultimately deem this as the right programming decision for our network,” a rep tells THR in the statement.

The miniseries is still scheduled to air in Canada on March 6, and will still be broadcast internationally. But the U.S. cancellation no doubt is a disappointment in an otherwise blockbuster era for AETN president and CEO Abbe Raven and Dubuc, both of whom championed the project. AETN, owned by a consortium comprised of Hearst, Disney-ABC Television Group and NBC Universal, enjoyed its most-watched year ever in 2010, with its six Nielsen-rated networks posting combined year-over-year viewership growth in each quarter. In addition, History is now a Top 5 cable network in all demos, fueled by hit original series such as Pawn Stars and Ice Road Truckers.

The Kennedys cancellation somewhat mirrors the fate of The Reagans, a miniseries that was to air on CBS in 2003 but was scrapped when advertisers threatened to boycott after conservatives raised concerns about depictions of former president Ronald Reagan being insensitive to AIDS victims. The Reagans later aired on Showtime.

THR has learned that producers of The Kennedys might make a similar move to bring the miniseries to a pay cable channel. UPDATE: A rep for Showtime says nobody at the network has yet seen The Kennedys. In addition, producers Asylum and Muse have issued a statement: “Although we regret this does not fit into the History Channel’s plans, we are confident that television viewers in the United States will join viewers from around the world in having an opportunity to watch this series in the near future.”

[From The Hollywood Reporter]

I wonder how much money this miniseries is going to end up losing in the long run? Do you think they’re just going to hope they end up breaking even? The History Channel spent big money to make this, and something must really suck if they’re pulling it.

    We can always blame Katie for something more.

  2. lisa says:

    I don’t think it was Katie. From what I have read it is because the final film had a lot of inaccurate information. People meeting in the film that never really met. Conversations that NEVER happened. They portrayed the Kennedys and MLK in an unflattering light.

    I think THC felt that since they are THC this film would be seen as a factual account which it is not.. They should done this for a Lifetime special or something.

    THC should stick to documentaries and not trying to create dramas.

  3. Jenny says:

    The history channel runs shows about our alien ancestors on constant rotation. Now they are worried about historical fiction? I think not.

  4. environ says:

    No the reason is that it was written by a rightwing kook and the history channel said that the movie contained lies and represented a warped view of history.

  5. tooey says:

    @environ – doesn’t a script come first? If THC was concerned about the accuracy of the script why not take care of it before sinking millions more in the production? Just sounds like they’ve got a dog on their hands. Ding-dong, Lifetime network…

  6. Rita says:

    I think History pulled the plug because the drama needed to make it interesting also made it fiction. They’ll sell it to somebody. Besides, I’m “Kennedy’d-out”. I’m suprised NBC didn’t replace their peacock with a family portrait. For God’s sake, let’s bury the Kennedys, Princess Diana, and Elvis in the same mausoleum so we don’t have so far to drive (don’t mean to insult their fans but good gravy).

  7. Marjalane says:

    I’ve read that the Kennedy’s weren’t thrilled with how the family dynasty was portrayed- their attornies have been trying to pull the plug on it for awhile. It’s also pretty ridiculous to assume that it was “full of lies”. It’s not like the History Channel is a right wing outlet!

  8. daisy424 says:

    History Channel is jointly owned by NBC & Disney.

    The guy that led the opposition to this project: Robert Greenwald who has made a number anti-Bush leftwing documentaries:
    Unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election
    Uncovered: The Whole Truth About The Iraq War
    Unconstitutional: The War on Our Civil Liberties
    Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism

  9. Louise says:

    Did Kaiser even read the THR article? I know this site hates Katie but saying the movie was cancelled because of her acting is ridiculous. They would have replaced her during production if she was so horrible. Considering she’s not a new actress, the producers know her acting capabilities. It sounds like the channel was under a lot of pressure not to air and perhaps maybe even worried about lawsuits for being too fictional. There’s even the possibility that the script changed during filming that the channel was unaware of.

  10. Kaiser says:

    Louise – Yes, Kaiser read the article. Kaiser also cringed when she heard Katie’s terrible accent work in the trailer. I’ll buy that their were script issues, but I’ll also buy that there were other issues (like a tremendously bad performance) that only became evident in post-production.

  11. jennifer says:

    wow katie’s face is REALLY square. how did i never notice that before? i think she would be stunning with a bit more of a heart shap face.

  12. Liana says:

    They’ll sell it and make back their money and if they sell to a pay channel outlet, they’ll do even better. But I think it’s something more than a bad script or bad performances. I can’t help but think stirring up more controversy is a way to increase their profits on the backend through a pay channel.

  13. FatJennyWearsTightShirt says:

    Maybe the network is afraid of critical scrutiny of the movie’s accuracy, since the network base their programming on accurate historical events. Is the mini-series believable? Probably not. There are most likely other factors not being addressed publicly which may suggest why they are choosing not to air it here in the U.S.

  14. heb says:

    Yeah can’t blame Katie on this one.

  15. Girafe99 says:

    Katie Holmes is a one note actress, that is not to say she is awful but compared to her Dawson’s Creek colleague Michelle Williams, just watch Wendy and Lucy to see how vastly different they are in the talent stakes.

  16. GradStudentEatingHotPockets says:

    I really wonder if the Kennedy clan (the first family Kennedy, not the senators) would be as loved today if they had to face the media and blogs.

    Plus I love the accent which I call the “Incredibly filthy rich, Liberal Massachusetts elite meets the Hamptons.” Ha…you should watch Grey Gardens (original with Jackie’s family or the one with Drew Barrymore)…it’s great.

  17. guesty says:

    how bizarre.

  18. lilah says:

    I hear the stunning cancellation, which was done after the mini had been completed, was done under political pressure from the Kennedy family who were not comfortable with the project coming out in the year of the 50th anniversary of Camelot. History is part of the A&E Networks, which is co-owned by the Walt Disney Co. Disney’s interest in the company is overseen by Disney-ABC TV Group president Anne Sweeney who is an A&E Networks board member. She is also a board member on the Special Olympics, which is synonymous with the Kennedy family, having been launched by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, with Tim Shriver serving as current chairman and CEO. Because History has an exclusive window on the mini, the network had to sign off on a potential buyer. I hear they have given their blessing for the mini to be taken to Showtime,

    give katie a break

  19. brin says:

    It’s all Xenu’s fault!

  20. Wresa says:

    Omg Jenny, you beat me to it. They show at least 4 hours of Ancient Aliens every Saturday but THIS is too historically inaccurate?? Wtf is the REAL story behind this??

  21. Bee says:

    @ Wresa and Jenny, I really like the Ancient Aliens show. There’s actually a lot of “history” in it, whether you believe in Aliens or not. And at least it’s a break from all the antique buying, ice road trucking, and top gear riding that the History channel is now subjecting us too. And Mrs. Cruise looked and sounded awful in that trailer. I’m sure it was probably pulled because of inaccuracies. But, I’m sure Katie’s play acting as Jackie O didn’t help.

  22. JenJen says:

    Glad to hear this! There is no way this twat would be able to pull of a New England accent or playing someone as regal as Jackie. Camelot is safe….for now.

  23. KLO says:

    I think it was probably because the Kennedys didn’t like some of the shit that was put out there for the public to see. This family has a truckload a of shit to hide. Plus, if the writers made some more up, then it’s just worse.

  24. JenJen says:

    Wasn’t she “producing” this movie? I seem to recall hearing that. The kiss of death if she had to work with the little guy,it was the last straw for Nicole….LOL

  25. Bodhi says:

    Damn, y’all already mentioned Ancient Aliens… 😀

    I don’t think the Kennedy family has the power to yank the mini series. Not anymore at least. Even if it is historical fiction it does have to be somewhat historically accurate

  26. Dea says:

    I honestly think Katie is such a fine woman. I mean there is nothing bad that can be said about her. There are women out there that are very private (like Victoria Beckham) and she is one of those. Does their personality and attitude hurts us. No. So why do we have to hate them?
    Many blame her marriage to Tom. Can we blame her for falling in love with Tom and dreaming about him since her young age and that dream became a reality? No. If Tom was not related to that Scientology thing, believe me, nobody was going to say anything bad at all about him because there is none. And that is his belief. We can’t blame him for it like we can’t blame people who believe in other faiths or are atheists. I really believe that are such a great family together. Yes she spends tons of money in clothing but I am a woman and If I had so much money I sure was going to enjoy the designers dresses and shows, who wouldn’t??

    She is a fine actress also and will do well in the future. The cancellation of this show might be for political reasons that we do not know.

  27. krissy_kitty says:

    As much as I dislike Robo Kate, and would love to say it was because of her terrible acting abilities that this massive project was shelved. I will have to agree with Lilah. I think this is more politically motivated than side mouth talking, wooden acting.. But it would be much more fun to blame her… lol

  28. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

    @Rita.. ITA

    When I first heard this my take was “What the hell?” Someone knew the
    script, they knew what they were filming sooooo… Could it actually be the acting?

    I think so. And I feel bad for Katie.

  29. observer says:

    Jackie was a size 10, not a size 2. Scientolobot should have eaten a couple of cheeseburgers to at least look the part.

  30. Tess says:

    Did Katie have Bell’s Palsey? If she did, all the cracks about her crooked smile are pretty low.

    But if she did and she’s still recovering, she ought to take a sabbatical until she’s healed completely.

  31. JenJen says:

    @Dea- where is her “fine” acting? Was it in the Gift when she stripped down all slumped over? I would really love to have an example of any of her acting ability. How do you know she is a “fine” person? Are you her PR person? LMAO

  32. Jules says:

    I can’t stand to look at her mangled nose. Why didn’t she ever get that nose job fixed?

  33. LolaBella says:

    Even though Katie is not the best of actresses, I was looking forward to this miniseries mostly because of Greg Kinnear being cast as JFK. Greg is one of the most under-rated actors of his time and he ALWAYS does each role justice.

    I am also STILL fascinated by The Kennedy Clan and Camelot.

    The reason THC is passing on this sounds fishy; they said the revised script was vetted by experts etc. yet they decided to cancel it after the project was all completed?

    Sounds like they caved under pressure to me.

    I’ll definitely watch it if it’s not on a premium/subscription/pay-per-view channel.

  34. dvz says:

    @observer, oh my goodness no. Jackie’s SHOE size was a 10. She had remarkably big feet. Her dress size at the time was designer sample size 6. Translates to a 4 with todays sizing.

  35. Whatever says:

    They’ll make plenty and it likely has nothing to do with the actors. I’m sure they knew Katie is a scientolobot before they started filming. From what I’ve read, it seems like the finished product has too much speculation and drama and not enough history for what the History Channel demands. They’ll sell it to someone because I read that Showtime, Starz and a few others are all interested. Funny, I probably wouldn’t have watched it, but now I will to see what made THC ditch it.

  36. tooey says:

    @dea – sounds like Suri is on the computer!!! ;0

  37. GeekChic says:

    @Jenny, my thoughts exactly. THC runs shows on “ancient astronauts” and “reality” shows like Pawn Stars and Ice Road Truckers, yet they have strict “quality standards?” (Way too many quotation marks in that sentence, oops.) I think this was more of a case of the Kennedys and MLK being portrayed in a very negative light, which could have alienated viewers. Although their shows on ancient aliens had already alienated me (pun intended).

    And BTW, it’s clear that their decision had nothing to do with Katie Holmes. She’s not a great actress by any means, but she would have been canned early on had she been that awful.

    ETA @LolaBella, I totally agree. Greg Kinnear is an absolutely wonderful actor and terribly underrated. I wish he got more choice parts. He’s handsome and extremely talented and versatile. I wonder why he’s not more of an A lister.

  38. kiko says:

    no its definitely not her fault but that doesn’t change the fact that she is a crappy actress..

  39. Bodhi says:

    @Tess ~ She did not have Bell’s & she has always done the 1/2 smile. I don’t know if it is an affection or a nervousness thing. There are plenty of pictures of her flashing a full smile.

  40. JenJen says:

    Gimme a break with the “Poor Katie has some kind of birth defect/facial abnormality”.
    Her face doesn’t look half paralyzed here-

    http://www.babble.com/CS/blogs/famecrawler/2008/02/16-22/katie-holmes-crazy.jpg

  41. Dea says:

    @jenjen and tooey
    I am not either her PR and not Suri at the computer. So get yourself together. The fact that I am fan of her shouldn’t be a reason for you to go against my opinion. Just say your opinion and that’s it. Don’t argue with me about what I write like I am not questioning your taste. This is comments section for God’s sake. Does it makes sense?? Thanks for understanding and being decent human beings.

  42. Cheyenne says:

    In an article in the NY Times today, Theodore Sorensen, who worked closely with John Kennedy during his administration, said that the miniseries was loaded with inaccuracies and outright fabrications. That was probably the reason why the series was cancelled.

  43. teehee says:

    How about the fact that the whole thing is somehow completely unconvincing? To me, anyway.

  44. Bobby the K says:

    I read Sorensen’s comments as well and it makes sense that the inaccuracies would be the reason it was pulled.

    Using their penchant for airing shows about aliens is a red herring. The whole UFO thing is based on speculation and guesswork (among other things) and everyone knows it.

  45. Wresa says:

    @ Bee – Yes, I have said the same thing about the show, that I have learned a lot about ancient cultures that I would never have heard of otherwise. I also “believe” in aliens! I’m just saying that all of the theories on that show are speculation without any real evidence. Which again brings me to wonder wth was so bad about this miniseries that they would pull the plug? It can’t be about historical accuracy if they are producing shows that are not rooted in historical FACT in any way.

    And I agree, there is too much “reality” TV on HC that has very little to do with history!!!

  46. Amanda says:

    Greg Kinnear as Jack Kennedy? Really, really strange casting. Almost as strange as Katie Holmes as Jackie.

  47. TG says:

    @Jenny – Your comment about the History Channel showing the shows on Ancient Aliens just made my day and I am still drying my eyes from laughter tears. My husband loves those alien shows and even though I laugh I actually find them interesting too, but I can laugh at myself!

  48. JenJen says:

    @Dea- Not much of a sense of humor, EH?

    Talk about making it personal,”get yourself together”?

    Wow, you seem like a real condescending,odd person,so I will dish out some advice to you as well

    LIGHTEN UP! 🙂 HAVE A NICE DAY!

  49. Vi says:

    @ Rita: ha ha hear hear!!

  50. Jayna says:

    I miss her old nose.

  51. poppy says:

    This has nothing to do with Katie at all and everything to do with the Kennedy’s flexing their muscles.

    Basically the Kennedy’s didn’t want the show made , they had no luck in stopping it but once they saw the finished product they pressured a friend to keep it off the History channels schedule. It will eventually be seen just later and on a different network, probably Showtime where people are more likely to believe it’s fiction rather than fact.

    A similar thing happened with ‘The Regans’ mini series in 2003 when the Republicans pulled some strings. CBS pulled it at the last minute for political reasons, Showtime eventually aired that series too.

  52. lucy2 says:

    Strange that they spent so much and approved scripts and all, and then bailed on it. I too expect them to sell it to a different network.
    I wouldn’t want to watch Katie in this, but I do like Greg Kinnear a lot.

  53. Kelly says:

    Maybe the whole thing sucks; you often don’t know a project sucks until you sit down with a bunch of unattached peeps and really look at the fucking thing out of context. That would be my first guess. But then, quality isn’t exactly the prime consideration at the History Ch so hmm.

    My second guess would be they ran it past a bunch of test audiences who expressed their collective ‘over it’ in regard to the Kennedys and that whole darn overworked era. Making docodramas about that tired bollocks with the shit that’s going down now just seems so 1997.

  54. observer says:

    @dvz, Jackie WAS a size 10, which is the equivalent of a current size 8, or size 6 at the very smallest. Katie is no more than a size 2 and probably smaller.

  55. observer says:

    Here is a link to an auction (ended) of one of Jackie’s actual dresses, which probably ran small as it was a size 12:
    http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/538585

    edit. Took a bit of searching, but I found some other auction listings of her dresses:
    http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/68540
    http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/68608

  56. Sparkly says:

    Love the title! My very first thought was, ‘Finally, someone realized what a tragedy it was casting her as Jackie O!’

    In that last pic, she reminds me a bit of Kate Middleton. Something tells me Kate M is a better actress though.

  57. Hautie says:

    This has nothing to do with Katie at all and everything to do with the Kennedy’s flexing their muscles.

    Basically the Kennedy’s didn’t want the show made , they had no luck in stopping it but once they saw the finished product they pressured a friend to keep it off the History channels schedule.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I agree. Please I am so tired of the Katie hate. She is about as harmless as Jessica Simpson.
    Yet, there is still enough of that Kennedy clan running around trying to act as if those men were saints.
    And since they were saints, you shouldn’t be so crass to point out that they all had numerous jump-off’s. Ted even manage to critically injury one of his.
    Then to imply that they were ethically challenge, is too much for the family to take. I suspect Ethel Kennedy crapped her pants if she got to preview the series.
    So I am not surprise it got pulled.
    But I am looking forward to seeing it just the same.
  58. mojoman says:
    To blame Kate bot for the cause of cancellation is just ridiculous IMO. I am no fan but even if her acting is horrible, it brings no weight for them to pull off the show
  59. JenJen says:
    Tom and Katie have announced to the world they will be boycotting the Oscars (airing Feb 27th) because Anne Hathaway will be there. She did that skit that was written for her on SNL making fun of Katie’s weirdness, so those two jerks are having a hissy temper-tantrum.
  60. lola lola says:
    Such a shame. Greg Kinnear is so talented. It would have been nice to see him get a part worth his abilities. oh well.
  61. The claim of historical inaccuracy is an odd one to make after the fact. Surely, someone at History Channel would have read the script ahead of time.
  62. Isa says:
    Katie Holmes is not a size two!
    And her half smile is horrible.
  63. maria says:
    Tom and Katie will not be missed by anyone at the Oscars. If they are so bothered by a funny (and accurate) SNL skit, they should just find a quiet volcano of their own and live the rest of life in seclusion.
  64. LittleDeadGirl says:
    Jenny. Awesome comment and I’m so with you on that. History channel has become a joke and this actually looked alot better than what they normally show. My guess would be some serious money was spent to block it. I doubt it was the historical facts not being all on point.
  65. Anti-icon says:
    I hope it gets sold so I can see this dang thing. I was actually looking forward to it. Tom Wilkenson is a FANTASTIC actor, and Joe Kennedy….well, he was a piece of work.
    Yes, someone did not want this aired. But really, how can they prevent it? It’s history — warts and all. And, how accurate is history ever? We all know the various “warts” that are up for historical reinterpretation with this American political family. I’m in. Beats reality TV. Do I have to go to Canada to see it?
  66. Bodhi says:
    Maybe the History Channel head honchos didn’t think the script/ “story” was changed enough? I doubt we’ll ever get a real answer about it.
    I don’t think big shows about important political families will ever really work; people get so involved in things like that. Can you imagine the furor a mini series about the Bush family 30 years will bring in 30 years? Yikes!!
  67. Belle Epoch says:
    I actually read up on this – I was wondering how you get a network to drop a multi-million dollar FINISHED production.
    The script was a fictionalized hatchet job that showed all the Kennedys in the worst possible light. Also very anti-Catholic. Kennedy advisor Sorensen said he appeared in many scenes – and NOT ONE actually took place in real life. They added scenes like Joe Kennedy breaking a crucifix in half (never!). Kennedy is shown waffling over civil rights (not true!). He advised them to triple their legal team before continuing.
    It will be shown in Canada and Europe. I for one am delighted we don’t have to watch stupid cow Katie Holmes pretend to be the legendary, smart and classy Jackie O.
  68. Hakura says:
    @Hautie (#54)- I agree.
    Though it’s a complete shame that they still have enough pull to prevent something like that from airing.
    I don’t know who they think still believes they’re saints. -_- Their ‘jump-offs’ & other conquests are infamous.
    I agree that Katie’s performance doesn’t look… great… in the trailer. But they knew what her acting abilities were before casting her. She wouldn’t be the reason they pulled the series.
  69. Bee says:
    @Wresa I completely understand what you were saying about the history channel not being very attached to depicting actual history today, so they should be able to show The Kennedys. THC probably was probably just worried about getting sued for airing the miniseries, and that’s ultimately why they pulled it.
    Also, these “working men” reality show on THC are killing me too. How many shows can you watch about men selling, buying, and assembling things? Jeez. THC is going to have to drop the “History” part of their title soon.
  70. Maud says:
    No disrepect to Jackie Kennedy, but she wasn’t such a colorful and dramatic person that a good actress was needed to portray her. Katie Holmes seems like the perfect fit.
  71. VV says:
    I don’t know why people are ragging on Holmes’ portrayal. If you ever seen old footage of Jackie, like the tour she gave of the White House, the lady had a weird voice. So soft spoken with that odd cadence and accent…
    I always found her pretty bland myself.
    And err lucky us. It’s showing in Canada on the History Channel March 6th. -yawns- Cause yeah apparently this is something Canadians should watch…
    ugh.
  72. anoneemouse says:
    This girl is seriously VACANT behind the eyes…
  73. Kim says:
    It must be awful for them to have spent so much time & money and still arent airing it or more likely the Kennedy family pulled their muscle because they didnt want it aired! Do we need another Kennedy miniseries, show or movie? No. If I never hear anything about any Kennedy again in my life ill be ok.
  74. nofreelunch says:
    Whichever network picks this up is getting a heck of a lot of free publicity via “us”, right now. Why on earth would they announce that they were not going to show it? There’s no need for an announcment or an explanation, just don’t show it.
  75. truthzbetta says:
    Sounds boring. Beginning with the word Kennedy, and fall asleep dull at the thought of a night after night miniseries. And that head to head shot yet again. Pass no matter where it lands.
    Kennedy’d out too.
  76. Tess says:
    Maria Shriver and Caroline Kennedy played bare knuckle hardball, which the family is well known for, and pressured the channel to pull the miniseries.
    And THAT is how hardball is played.
  77. Mary says:
    The only reason Katie Holmes gets any roles is because of her xenu husband, Tom. She is a terrible actress and has lost all of her charm since she married Tom Cruise. She is boring and cannot think for herself without her Scientologist groupies following her around. It’s so sad what has happened to her.
