For some reason, Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent were a couple for a few months. Don’t ask me when or why or how it started, because I don’t really care enough to look it up. Something happened, and all of a sudden Chelsea was making news, blah, blah. I wouldn’t consider 50 Cent a man of standards, but even I thought he probably could have found some better, even if it was just a PR relationship between famewhores. Anyway, earlier this week, Page Six (and other outlets) reported that Chelsea was snuggled up with Andre Balazs, best known as a hotelier who dated Uma Thurman and Courtney Love (allegedly). So… now we get to hear about how Chelsea and 50 Cent broke up:
Comedian, TV host…man-eater? A source tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on stands now) that Chelsea Handler dumped 50 Cent just before the holidays, leaving the 35-year-old rapper “heartbroken.”
Determined to win her back, 50 Cent — who was first spotted canoodling with the Chelsea Lately host in October — “spent Christmas sending her gifts, but she sent them back. She put a note on one that said, ‘I can buy my own gifts.’”
Though both Handler, 35, and 50 Cent recently attended the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, a reconciliation was the last thing on the Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang author’s mind.
According to an eyewitness, Handler had already set her sights on Uma Thurman’s ex, hotelier Andre Balazs, 54. “They snuck kisses” at Bing Bar on January 22, the source says of the two. Handler and Balazs were later spotted partying at Tao before leaving together at 2:30 a.m.
“Chelsea and Andre are dating,” a Handler pal confirms to Us. “He’s exactly her type.”

Eh, sure. Do I think Chelsea dumped 50? Sure, why not? I’ll also buy that 50 was trying to fancy up his girl with some pretty things. Of course, he was probably sending junk to lots of girls. And 50 will probably be nursing his broken soul in the arms of random girls for the next year, trying to get over the heartbreak of being dumped by Chelsea Handler. Don’t feel bad, 50! One of the last guy she dumped was her boss, right after he got her a big four-year contract. At least 50 didn’t have a four-year contract on that ass.
