Damn, this is the best Renee Zellweger has looked in a really long time. Good skin. Good posing. Good dress, although it is a bit “Texas Debutante Cotillion”. The hair is meh, as usual, but Renee has never been a hair person. Overall though, she looks healthy and happy and pretty. The best she’s looked in years. God, she’s looked rough over the past five years or so. So… is it an incidence where she’s stopped jacking her face full of chemicals, or is it that all of her “work” has finally “settled”? I want to think that she’s stopped with the junk, but her forehead is looking like Nicole Kidman-esque marble. No, no, no! I’m being too negative. She looks great. She got all dressed up for the Golden camera Awards in Berlin, where she was awarded the Best International Actress Award for her body of work:
The annual Golden Camera Awards celebrates the biggest stars of German TV, music and film. But last night, the glitzy ceremony got a taste of Hollywood glamour as A-listers Renee Zellweger swept in wearing a stunning grey and silver ballgown.
The 41-year-old actress showed off her toned arms in the unusual, strapless gown, which included threads of silver wire running through the bodice and skirt.
The Cold Mountain star was awarded with the Best International Actress award for her many memorable on-screen performances over the years.
A spokeswoman for award organisers, Hoerzu magazine, said they were honouring her for her ability to play natural and authentic roles.
Accepting her accolade, she noted previous recipients of the award, including Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett and Jodie Foster: ‘I am so honoured to be part of the same group of great artists who have received this honor over the last 46 years.’
Noticeably absent was her actor boyfriend Bradley Cooper, who is in mourning following the death of his beloved father Charles two weeks ago. Renee was due to attend the Golden Globes at the time, but pulled out to be support Bradley and his family following the 71-year-old’s death.

That sucks that Bradley didn’t come to support her. They’re so weird about not wanting to be seen together. I mean, I get that Bradley’s star is on the rise, and that Renee has always been a pretty private person, but they’ve been together for more than a year, right? No, it’s been more than that, like a year and a half. Surely he can hold her hand on one red carpet and the sky won’t fall?

I think she’s gained a pound or two and it’s given her a little softness in her face and she doesn’t have that fresh chemical peel look. Maybe the ‘work’ has settled (if she had work)… maybe she’s just in a happy place and it’s showing.

I always though the opposite; Renee wasn’t doing anything to her face prior to now, looks like she’s gotten some botox fillers around the eyes and mouth. Renee looks great, although she may want do something with her lips, they look a bit weird IMO.
A great big “love to Renee” for this. The dress is perfect and she looks the best I’ve ever seen her. Keep this going Renee. Unprententious wrapped in elegance is the best look a woman can have and Renee nails it here.
I dont know……..she is always painful to look at to me…… too washed out looking…..put some red lipstick or some smokey eyes on all that paleness!!!

Well isn’t Bradley still dealing with his dad’s death? I think he is doing the right thing by staying with his family, maybe to help his mom who is probably devastated right now. Also when a person dies, there is SO much bureaucratic stuff to deal with. My mom was appointed the executor of my grandfather’s estate and that took up so much of her time. Last thing you want to deal with when you are grieving.
She looks fantastic-like her old self. Whatever she’s doing (or NOT doing) I hope she keeps it up.

Def looks like she got fillers around the mouth. Renee looks so pretty, gorgeous dress too. My friend’s mom had this procedure done. She looks fantastic! Makes her look 10-15 years younger.

Pretty. I do think she needs a slight eyebrow grooming and to lay off the lip plumpers. As for Bradley, he probably wants to stay out of sight at major events so not to risk reporters asking “when are you two going to get married”? I’m sure that’s very uncomfortable subject since I doubt it’s ever going to happen. Bradley is rumoured to like guys and we know Renee has had a problem in the past figuring that out.
I would love to see them on a red carpet together.

This is the first time that she’s looked like she done anything to get ready other than step out of a track suit and into a dress. Her hair and makeup are always meh and her dresses are always the same. Her stylist needs to cut that Caroline Herrera(sp?) umbilical cord. Cut. It.
@Amy & Vi — ITA. I’m actually kind of shocked at the insensitivity implicit in the post — the man’s father dies & people are actually wondering why he didn’t attend some b.s. award ceremony? Cold.
She looks great. I don’t think she’s done anything to her face or that it settled. I think she chose her body over her face, losing too much weight. She seems healthier now. Toned, but eating. The dress is gorgeous. Don’t care if it’s prom-dressy. It’s so pretty & she looks awesome in it.
Bradley’s dad died. He’s still grieving. His family is still grieving. I’m sure Renee, who was there with the family when the elder Cooper died, understood the situation. And it’s not as if they don’t support each other behind the scenes, out of the public eye.
She looks great here. I think she relaxed her diet or maybe just stopped exercising like a maniac, which gave some softness to her features and her skin doesn’t look raw from chemical peels, which is a nice change. Nice dress too.
Finally, a few pounds back on her. I don’t know why she thought scary skinny suited her. After her second Bridget Jones movie, after she lost about half of the weight she was on an awards show and looked stunning. She should have stopped there, but, instead, went back to bony look. I think she needs to have her upper eyelids done. It’s hereditary and in interviews her eyes are like slits because the upper eyelids are sagging so much. Nothing drastic, just lightly done to open back up her eyes. Though, her eyes look better here.
The dress is STUNNING! One of the best I’ve ever seen!

Rene looks really nice…the only thing she needs is some jewelry. When actresses dress up, if they don’t choose attractive accessories, they look like children putting on mommy’s clothes.
She does look pretty good and even looks like she might be standing up straight in the first pic. Bad posture really bugs me and is very telling about a person and their self confidence.
I think she gained a little weight, her face looks softer. She also possibly had some good work done. She looks kind of..different, yet miles better. Good for her.

I think we’ve just met our poster child for ‘letting yourself go’. It’s crazy to take your health and beauty regimen to the place where you’ve been ravaged for results that were not at all worth the extensive (of all kinds) work performed. Drop a Jolly Rancher in your wheat germ once in a while.

Best she’s looked in a long time. I think she’s still doing the dermal fillers and botox but they’ve either settled in or she’s doing less. Plus she’s gained a pound or two (literally!) but it looks awesome on her. She shouldn’t be any thinner than this.

I think she’s def looks good but still too thin — for her. All pics of her before she hit it big showed her to be heavier, although by no means overweight. This isn’t her natural body type, and I thought she looked great in Bridget Jones.

I like her. I think she’s a pretty good actress. She knows when it’s time to pull ahead and shine over her other costars, and she knows when to back off. That said, her lips are really freaking me out in these photos, despite her looking better than usual.
She doesn’t look THAT different to me. Warmed up the highlights in her hair, got some Perlane around her smile lines and yeah, gained 4-5 pounds. I little for her makes a big difference, cause she is rather sweet looking anyway, IMO.
By the way, making culturally ignorant comments about “squinty” eyes sounds prejudiced and is pretty mean to one’s heritage.
Her eyes are actually open-ish. That’s a big help.
