Hope she’s doing it pro bono and we the tax payers won’t have to shell out for her publicity tour.

I know it’s a good cause, but good grief, most out-of-work celebs take these gigs to enhance their own careers.

Yeah, the state of women’s medical care is really poor. Even if you are high risk, insurance will still only pay for a pap smear once a year. Say you have a pap smear that comes back as negative (good), then literaly a week later, your body develops cancer. You wont be able to get another pap smear for another year, within that year the cancer will grow, rapidly. But who cares right?

Tess, the woman had cancer which was misdiagnosed and is trying to make a change. The medical profession overwhelmingly ignores women’s health concerns, pats us on the head and tells us to stop being hysterical and run along.

I am sure she has corporate and individual donor-based sponsorship. Private endeavours like these are never funded by taxpayers.
