Peaches Geldof pulls a Lindsay, steals a dress from a shop

Peaches Geldof is the 22 year-old daughter of Sir Bob Geldof (the founder of Live Aid) and the late Paula Yates. She dabbles in writing and occasionally models, but generally has no career or educational ambitions to speak of. She’s known for marrying young and divorcing after six months, dating Eli Roth (it’s over now, thank goodness), dressing like crap both on the red carpet and off, having trashy tattoos and doing drugs. So it’s not surprising to hear that she’s a shoplifter too, although I am surprised that it’s taken this long for us to learn about it. Maybe all the other dumb sh*t she does overshadow the stories of her thievery.

Peaches Geldof has been accused of stealing a dress from a London clothes shop.

Staff at the Three Amigos store in Camden Town claimed that the garment disappeared after the 22-year-old TV presenter visited last week.

It is thought that owners of the shop, which sells skater-style clothing, tried to contact Miss Geldof when they were unable to find the dress, but called police yesterday after receiving no reply.

One line of inquiry is that the alleged theft is due to a misunderstanding between the shop and Miss Geldof.

Last night detectives were waiting to question the daughter of Boomtown Rats star Sir Bob Geldof and his late wife Paula Yates.

The claims are the latest in a long line of shoplifting allegations for the socialite – though she has always been exonerated.

In March 2008, she was accused of leaving the Victim store near Carnaby Street with a £500 dress she had not paid for.

After store staff realised it was missing, they phoned her management firm and Miss Geldof returned to the shop and apologised, saying it had been a ‘simple misunderstanding’.

In 2007, she was accused of taking clothes from a photoshoot, and in October 2006 she was stopped at Urban Outfitters in Kensington High Street on suspicion of shoplifting a coat. She was allowed to leave after paying for the item.

In April 2009, Miss Geldof was wrongly accused of stealing an item of clothing from east London shop Luna & Curious, where staff claimed she had been behaving ‘atrociously’.

She bought a number of garments but was later stopped by the owner who accused her of taking one without paying. She insisted it was an honest mistake and returned it.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said yesterday: ‘We can confirm police have received an allegation of theft. It is alleged that on March 4 a woman stole a dress from a shop in Camden Road. Officers are investigating the alleged theft.’

A spokesman for Miss Geldof said: ‘On the afternoon of March 4 Peaches was picked up from her home address at 1.15pm and taken to a voiceover studio in SE1 where she spent two and a half hours.

‘Peaches knows nothing about this incident which we strenuously deny.’

[From The Daily Mail thanks Smartie for the tip]

Wait – Peaches is a TV presenter now? A quick glance at her Wikipedia page confirms that she can add that to her storied resume, since she has “a six part series on ITV2 called, ‘OMG, Totally Peaches’, a problem solving chat and guest show with audience participation.” Reading over the description on the ITV website, it sounds like Ricki Lake, only trashier and dumber. It’s airing now and they cover topics like “polyamorous” people and “furries,” or people who dress like animals. (You can watch a segment here and below.)

So did Peaches jeopardize her new talkshow gig with her sticky fingers? She lost her modeling gig with Ultimo after nude photos and a story came out that she’d done drugs with a onetime hookup. She may be secure in this job for now, but if she keeps pulling stunts like this all the opportunities she’s inexplicably being handed will dry up for her.

In related news, Peaches tweeted a photo of herself wearing a diamond ring and wrote that it was a birthday gift from her most recent boyfriend, a musician from the band S.C.U.M. She similarly wore a ring on her left hand and is thought to have planted engagement stories when she was dating Eli Roth. You would think that she would learn by now that she should wait a while to get married again.

Here’s Peaches on her new talkshow interviewing some “furries.” They say they’re not sexual about it, but that the American furries are! Peaches comes on at 2:00. Check out her huge teeth. It’s like she’s whistling through them.

Is anyone else with me that she must be amazing in bed? Otherwise, I do not get it, why is she such a sought after dating companion?

And Eli Roth? What the hell was that all about?

How can one accidentally steal so many clothes? And who gets a nose ring anymore? Me-ow!

  2. brin says:

    Awww…Euro-Lindsay.

I’m not defending this girl whatsoever but I know that things can go awry. Yesterday, I was purchasing items from a health food store. I had a migraine plus there was a lot going on around me. I was talking with the girl at cash about the wonders of coconut milk and so forth and some guy interjected. I had thought I paid so I left the store. I’m walking up the street kind of questioning if I did pay or not. Next thing the shopkeeper is running after me. She was kind about it and didn’t accuse me of stealing but I felt like crap about it. Anyway, stuff like that can happen even to the best of us.

    WHAT A RIOT!!! LOL

  5. Bubbling says:

Heylee I’m with you. She must be some sex machine or smth. It’s either that or…meh it has to be that!
Plus girl looks like in desperate need of a shower

  6. lucy2 says:

    It’s British Lohan!
Seriously, these celebs seem to have a lot of “misunderstandings”. Seems pretty clear to me, if you want merchandise you MUST PAY FOR IT. What’s so hard to understand about that?
I don’t know if it’s just a sense of entitlement, or they’re stealing for the thrills, but come on already.

  7. liz says:

ugh, the show seems so heroin chic/mindless

  8. lilred says:

Let me guess she tried it on then forgot she was wearing it.

  9. eelizg23 says:

Am I the only one who doesn’t think her tats are trashy? If hers are, mine are too. Maybe it’s a generational thing.

  10. Cherry Rose says:

@ eelizg23 – No, hers are definitely trashy. I got some, and I don’t consider them trashy. =]

And god, furries? My ex-roommate was a furry. Boy, was that an interesting experience.

  11. danielle says:

    Another entitled brat stealing clothes.

  12. Roma says:

@Cherry Rose: You KNEW a furry? Stories. Do tell. Immediately.

Wait, if you don’t want to share just tell me what animal. I have never met a furry and I just have sooo many questions.

  13. hellen says:

HOW MANY times has she been accused of shoplifting and claimed it was a “misunderstanding” – and then paid for the items? You can bet that for every time that happened, she probably got away with it 2 or 3 times more often.

  14. Cherry Rose says:

My roommate was a wolf/fox (still have no idea exactly really). It was something. Only time he’d dress normal was when he’d go in for work, but he’d still wear his wolf/fox ears while driving there.

He drove his mother crazy though. “You don’t understand! This is just the way I am!!”

    He actually had a girlfriend (shocking, I know), who was a tiger. I know they had sex, but I really can’t imagine how or what they did. -_-;

But rarely did I ever invite any friends over. The few times I did, they were too freaked out by him to come back. Though he did have quite a few furry friends that would come over.

Needless to say, we weren’t roommates very long.

  15. MNGIRL76 says:

OMG! Cherry Rose that is hilarious! I would have HAD to come over & take a peek! WTF!

  16. PrettyTarheel says:

Ok, Cherry Rose, I have questions, and I’m sorry to have to ask you these, but frankly…Who the hell else am I going to ask?

    1) HOW did you end up with this individual as a roomate? Had you ever seen him in …character before?
    2) Were you able to keep a straight face in conversation about who finished the milk or why the electric bill was late? Because I don’t think I could have done it.
    3) Other than the furriness, was this individual a functional member of society? Job, bills, television, normal habits?

    I’m completely fascinated.

  17. Jennifer says:

Why is it that she and Linnocent both look like they need a shower with steel wool?

  18. Cherry Rose says:

    1) I was couch hopping at the time, and I met him through a mutual friend who said he had a friend looking for a roommmate. I was warned at the time he was a furry, and I had really no idea at the time what a furry exactly was, so I thought he was just some guy that liked to do an anime cosplay thing and dress up like an animal.

    2) He could be normal. He always made sure the bills got paid and chores done and the like. After all, a furry is combining human aspects with animal. However, when he would get on his knees and hands and walk around in his costume, including going up and down the steps like that, the giggles would start coming out.

    3) Besides his job, he pretty much lived in his “dream world”. Other than the odd furry convention or anime convention, he’d just stay at home or go to one of his furry friend’s homes. He did like anime though and video games. But no, he didn’t really have too many normal friends.

It’s just a bizarre thing. Some of them aren’t too serious about it, and others make you think they should be committed to a psych ward.

  19. PrettyTarheel says:

    Thanks for the insight!!!

  20. Kat says:

‘Euro-Lindsay’ is right. What a cheap, tacky, no-talent slut.

  21. EbonyShiksa says:

    Come get your girl, Eli….

  22. ordinarygirl86 says:

She wants attention obviously! I mean if I’m gonna shoplift with the possibility of being caught then I’d make sure it was designer clothes I was stealing at least so it would’ve been worth it! Gucci, Fendi, Prada, Alexander McQueen, Tiffany’s etc

  23. Louise says:

Funny how times have changed. A few years ago it would have been “pulling a Winona Ryder”.

  24. sakara says:

does peaches and sir bob both take it up the butt? maybe that’s why they’re both so popular.

  25. KatScorp says:

I really want to point out here that “Sir” Bob Geldof is a misogynist arsehole and militantly anti-maternal unit. He was the poster boy of the “children must be with their daddies” movement and he, along with his followers, went around all of the newspaper opinion pages and talkshows attacking single mothers as being incapable of raising well-adjusted children. The pigs would regularly insist that only children raised by fathers are raised well, and that children raised by single mothers become EXACTLY what Peaches here is now: promiscuous, directionless criminals.

So, not only is Geldof the face of the “Fathers are the Only Required Parent” campaign, but he used his wealth and power to take Michael Hutchin’s daughter away from her grandparents. It was horrifying to see that go down. I think that Tigerlilly’s grandparents only got to see her twice since that arsehat Geldof waltzed in and took the toddler on the pretense that he’d be a better parent and that the child could be around her half-siblings.

Since then, Tigerlilly has been raisecd by a rotating system of nannies. The nannies get rotated so that (in my opinion, but my opinion is very certain) the girls never form a strong attachment to a woman. Geldof is just such a woman-hater (in my opinion, yadda yadda yadda).

Well, look how Peaches has turned out. Poor Tigerlilly, her grandparents adored her and didn’t want her as a political tool or statement.

  26. emma says:

Wow, she is ridiculously bad at shoplifting.

  27. Becca says:

her boyfriend is way too hot for her.

  28. colt13 says:

How does she host a show? She doesn’t even speak clearly.

Misunderstanding? Anybody can make a mistake, but 4 times? Girl is a klepto.

  29. gobo says:

Katscorp while I get what your saying and agree to a certain extent I would also say the man had a point. His ex wife was a longterm junkie, who’d want to leave their kids with that? His error was in thinking that he could leave his daughters to then raise themselves. And being an asshat about Tigerlilly.

  30. helen says:

I was watching TV last night and a trailer for her OMG! show came on. I felt so sad and went and got a glass of wine. She will never go away (and hopefully pull herself together) as long as they keep giving her shows, newspaper columns, all that! STOP ENCOURAGING HER, MEDIA!

  31. PrettyTarheel says:

Unfortunately, it’s not just the media who encourages her-the media only presents us with what we are willing to watch/read… So, similarly to Chris Brown and other trainwrecks who continue to get a platform, she will only go away when we stop giving her recognition. We (consumers) forget that we don’t have to swallow what’s presented.

  32. helen says:

Well, I hope no one watches her show. And it’s not just because I can’t stand her. It’s like Lohan- their lifestyle is bad for them! But they are addicted to attention, and won’t step away by themselves. But there’s hope- Paris Hilton is hardly ever in the news any more.

  33. Magsy says:

A 22 year old should not have bags under her eyes like that. Yuck she looks dirty like her daddy.

  34. Meeple says:

Hey thar, to that Roma person who was asking about furs. Feel free to e-mail me if you want, haxbypilot@gmail.com. I’m not bothered about it, and dont mind answering questions. 🙂
