Ryan Phillippe is currently in Europe promoting The Lincoln Lawyer, and it looks like he brought along his on-again new girlfriend, the lovely Amanda Seyfried. There are new photos of Amanda and Ryan out in Paris yesterday and now Ryan is in Berlin along with Matthew McConaughey. Both of these men are attractive to me although they’ll never be at Matt Damon or Leonardo DiCaprio levels. McCoaughey needs to gain ten pounds and Phillippe needs to shave that beard. He’s probably trying to fight that sweet baby face that will stay with him the rest of his days.
I think Seyfried is gorgeous, I found her kind of captivating in that glurge fest Dear John, (she looks like a cartoon character with that hair and those giant eyes) but we know she has piss poor taste in men. From most reports Ryan has been stringing her along, but maybe he’s ready to play it serious now that his ex wife has so spectacularly moved on. (Or not, depending on your perspective.)
You get the sense with Ryan that he’s never quite satisfied, that the one he has on the hook will never be as interesting as the random girl in the bar, that he tries to suppress it and then feels guilt when he finally strays, when that itch gets too persistent not to scratch. (I went on too long with that, I know.) Or maybe he really does love and respect Amanda and he’s ready to show it. I doubt it, he also brought Abbie Cornish to events with him and he was stepping out on her all over the place.
Compare how Amanda looks while she’s out with Ryan to how she looks while she’s alone. It’s probably not fair to judge though as the paparazzi probably aren’t hounding her as much in the shots where she looks happy.

I’m right with you, Marjalane – although we’d probably need some shirtless beach shots to make a truly accurate comparison! And whilst Leo is the only one of the 4 who hasn’t had his last few movies bomb spectacularly, his modeliser tendencies would suggest an inner-douchebag at least equal to Ryan Philippe’s.

This relationship is definitely not going to last much longer. She looks miserable and like she’s inhibited or something around him. I think she’s a young girl with bad taste in men and doesn’t yet value herself enough to expect to be treated right or to see what happiness is or isn’t. Of course, I could be wrong about my assessment of her (because how the hell could I possibly actually know?), but I do think I’m right that this is not going to last (and probably isn’t very satisfying right now).

It’s amazing how that beard only pronounces the femininity of Ryan’s face even more.
And WHY is Matthew sporting a mullet?
I think Amanda has a very distinctive face which looks great with the right make up and hair but in her everyday look I don’t find her attractive.

Well Matt and Leo may not be as pretty as these two but they but have more talent, onscreen charisma & magnetism ergo they are sexier…(Also Ryan is such a douche). I saw the Lincoln Lawyer it wasn’t bad but it would have been better as a TV movie (I know they barely make them anymore). I can see both of these guys ending up on a procedural drama on TV within the next 10 years.

That smiling pic of Amanda “alone” is actually her walking toward Ryan. These two keep it nailed down because they are not in it for the show. It’s impossible to tell how people really feel about each other from pap pix. Maybe they’ll last and maybe they won’t, but I don’t fault them for giving it a go.

Ryan’s pretty to look at, and I loved him in Gosford Park. But he does seem to have a wandering eye, not exactly steady boyfriend or husband material.

So why does the trip have to be a reaction to his ex-wife’s wedding? They have been divorced for years, been through many other relationships and he cheated on her. I doubt very much he cares that Reese remarried, and probably took a trip with his piece of the week because it is Paris, Springtime and something to do.

Ryan does seem deep in thought. And I actually do think he brought along ‘flavor of the month’ to keep his mind off the fact that his ex just got married. I think he will always love Reese, the mother of his children. They married and had children too early in life and now there are regrets that will no doubt be life long. Sorry Amanda. You are too young and dumb to understand.

Hi CB! Matt Damon, George Clooney, Robert Pattinson and Leo DiCaprio do some of the better interviews out there, and that’s why I like them.
I don’t find any of them hot or sexy or cute.
I don’t find Ryan Phillippe hot or sexy or cute, either. His behaviour just negates anything that might be attractive about him.

Ryan does seem to have issues. I would say he has self esteem issues and perhaps rather than settling with and loving someone, he keeps trying to prove himself over and over with many women. I would say a woman who dates him at this point in his life is making a mistake. It seems like he needs to focus on working through his issues before seriously dating anyone else.

He probably went to Paris to get away from American reporters asking him about his ex-wife’s marriage. Taking Amanda with him kills two birds with one stone.
