These are photos of some of the Glee girls (and Chris Colfer) filming in (SPOILER) New York on Monday. I see Diana Argon and Lea Michele, and I don’t care about the other ones. Lea, as you may know from my informal Twitter polling, won our contest for “Who Would You Rather Smack?” question. It was between Lea and Kristen Stewart, and most of you wanted to smack Lea (I wanted to smack K-Stew). Note: I’m not advocating violence in any way, we were just having a theoretical discussion about the IDEA of which girl is more worthy of a smack, and it’s not like any of us would ever do it. We just like to fantasize about it. For some of us, it’s a fantasy that gets us through the day.
Anyway, Lea won our little poll, and I’m guessing that these photos will add to her negative appeal. Lea is styled in what I’m guessing is an homage to Mary Tyler Moore? I have to give Lea some credit – she’s able to “pull off” 1970s styles more than most actresses. Now, to negate that credit, she looks like hell. It’s just a bad combination of bangs trauma and too-bright horizontal stripes and HER FACE.
Which brings me to my next poll question: Do you think the crew of Glee hates Lea Michele too? The makeup people, the costume department, the producers, the camera guys, I feel like they’re all conspiring to make Lea look like hell because they don’t care for her either. Or because she’s actively alienated them. Do you think some people actually had to put some effort into making Lea look this bad, or do you think it just comes naturally to Lea? Discuss.
Last thing: Chris Colfer. Feathers. No comment.

I don’t think she is “ugly” but yes I agree with you on the fact that she does think she is totally hot. Thus all those poses she does.
Not a fan of hers. Mainly because she just seems so desperate to be a big star. It is a turn off. I appreciate self confidence and ambition but I don’t like her.

ew. I think it’s natural. I think they are trying to make her work but they just can’t… and the fact that she’s a bitch doesn’t help – they hate to try but they know they have to make her a sex symbol of the show or something. I don’t know what the casting dudes were thinking when they hired her. I mean – yeah, the voice, but DUDE you are not a radio show!

I LOVE CC’s jacket. It reminds me of the one Brandon Flowers used to wear when The Killers released Sam’s Town.
sidenote: for a good…idk, 30 seconds or so, I really didn’t realize Lea was wearing tights. I thought she had visted the Lilo/Snookie School of Tanning. Yuck.

Colfer’s jacket is very Mad Max beyond the Thunderdome. A modern version, I like it.

I think she is pretty actually. Just because she is not a Barbie doll like other actresses on TV doesn’t mean she is ugly.
Also, I know this site hates bangs on anyone and everyone but I think they look good on some people and some hairstyles but I don’t like them here on Lea. She looks better without them.

She’s a very average, plain looking girl. If I saw her in “real life” I wouldn’t look twice either way. What makes her ugly is her smug self-satisfaction that she is gorgeous, special, and better than everyone else. THAT is unattractive. It’s funny how average or even beautiful people can be rendered physically ugly from the inside out.

All of experience of this girl has been through photos and print. I’ve never seen the show, heard her speak/sing or seen her in motion. I don’t see anything wrong with her, but the sourness of the last couple of years undercuts everything to the point where it’s increasingly all you see. I don’t think she’s unattractive, at all, but I admit the sight of her kind of makes my skin crawl and that has nothing to do with her nuts and bolts physicality.

I think the term ugly is harsh & inappropriate in regards to appearance. (I’d readily use it to describe her attitude, however. )
She’ll never be attractive to me, even though she has a beautiful voice with a lot of potential. She obviously thinks the world of herself, which shows in her posture & expressions. I always say this, but she reminds me too much of an ex-best friend of mine who not only looked, but acted, strikingly similar.

I think the problem with her looks is that she has big features like Anne Hathaway where you can’t really decide if they are pretty or not. They are just unique looking. BTW, I kind of dig the jacket, but the hat and shoes are too much.

Lea Michelle belongs to a handful of celebrities I would go out of my way to avoid in real life (included in this group are Goopy, Gisele and John Mayer – all for different reasons), but she isn’t ugly. She has strong features, with an attitude to match. I would believe it if a Glee cast or crew member admitted it was difficult working with her.

I think Lea Michele is very talented and rather beautiful. She’s not typical and she’s very down to earth in interviews. Her nike training video is awesome and she has a lot of strength. She looks unique and I admire her for it. Her clothes look bad because it was Glee, she actually dresses very nice and is classy.
