Is Lindsay getting just 2 weeks of home detention for her crimes?

fp_7271662_lohan_lindsay_ro
This news is in TMZ, which regularly runs stories from celebrity sources without questioning them at all. (Hence the “Whitney Houston is in rehab, but it’s not for drugs or alcohol if her people say it isn’t” story, which they revised once her team admitted the obvious.) So I’m hoping this is just pure wishful thinking on Mother Crackhead’s part. According to TMZ it’s likely that Lindsay is going to scrape by with just 14 days at home with an electronic monitoring bracelet for that 120 day sentence she was given for violating her probation by lifting the necklace. Lindsay is set to plead guilty to the other charge in the case of the purloined necklace, misdemeanor theft, tomorrow, and she probably won’t be showing up at court at all. How is this girl with her ridiculous My Little Pony extensions not in jail at this time? The mind boggles.

Sources connected with Lindsay tell TMZ … Lindsay wants to show up for the plea, but the cost and craziness associated with a Lindsay Lohan appearance is just too much — what with extra Sheriff’s deputies, court disruption, etc.

So Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, will appear before Judge Stephanie Sautner to enter the plea.

TMZ broke the story … Lindsay will plead no contest, and in such cases it’s routine a defendant can serve the sentence with an electronic monitoring device at home, rather than doing jail time.

As we first reported … both Sheriff’s Department and the Probation Department sources tell us … Lindsay would be eligible to serve her 120-day jail sentence with electronic monitoring at home.

Judge Sautner has made it clear … she’s treating Lindsay like any other defendant, so it’s likely the judge will allow her the electronic monitoring option.

And, a defendant who serves time at home with an monitoring bracelet gets the same time off for good behavior and jail overcrowding as someone who serves time in the pokey. And we’re told 120 days translates into 14 DAYS. So 14 days with a bracelet and she’ll be off the hook with the necklace!

TMZ will be in court tomorrow.

[From TMZ]

I’m really hoping TMZ is as wrong here as they were with Whitney Houston’s rehab stint. Of course Lindsay will plead guilty but her people will leak stories all over that she just did it at the advice of her lawyer and is oh-so-innocent. She’s never culpable for anything, and she never did anything wrong and we’re all out to destroy her promising career.

Lindsay has actually been showing up to her community service. She’s been sentenced to three months of full time work at a homeless shelter and morgue. According to a “source” who spoke to Radar, aka Lindsay’s mom, she’s so engaged and present for the homeless women and they’re so impressed with her commitment to service and how blindingly beautiful she is with all that flowing yarn hair. (I made up that last part, but you know they wanted to add that, like Lindsay is some kind of saint.) It will take a lot more than a bunch of court dates and community service hours to shake some sense into this girl. I’m hoping the judge realizes that and gives her time in the slammer again. She’s been asking for it for months if not years. It doesn’t matter though, even if she gets off with a slap on the wrist yet again she’ll manage to screw it up somehow.

Lohan is shown on 5/6 and 5/2/11. Credit: Fame

    yeah! that’ll teach her!

  2. Innocent says:

This is common for non violent misdemeanor offenders. Also i think TMZ are telling the truth and someone has leaked this information to them as it is an exclusive.

  3. Devon says:

Why oh why…I don’t know what to say about her anymore.

  4. gee says:

I think #2 is Linnocent herself. And misdemenor in Hollyweird is America’s felony.

Cocaine on the person is possession, prices don’t get adjusted for jewel thiefs.. this girl is so damn lucky, why shouldn’t she just keep on doing what she’s doing.

  5. lucy2 says:

Ugh. Well, she set of the alcohol ankle bracelet at one point, I’d be willing to bet she sets this one off too, and then will whine and cry that everyone’s picking on her when all she was doing was going out.

  6. brin says:

    What a joke.

  7. icantbelievethis says:

TMZ was also shocked that she got the 120 days in jail last time. Before that there were saying nothing would happen to her.

  8. Cheyenne says:

    Justice is a joke.

  9. mia girl says:

Is she still living in that house next to her x-girlfriend?

Is it just me or does anyone else believe, with all her crazy stalking history with Ronson, that Lindsey Loca has gotten a huge free pass on moving next door to her. Initally there was some talk about it, but not anymore. If this were a man who moved next door to an x-girlfriend he had psycho-stalked repeatedly, crap, the people/press would be be a lot more creeped out by and concerned about it.

  10. Crash2GO2 says:

There is no way she will be able to complete 3 months of full time work. No. Way. That’s what I’m banking on.

  11. dorothy says:

Of course she is…and because of it we’ll be reading about her again in a few months being involved in something illegal again. The cycle will never end. Want to save the system money? Punish her to the full amount allowed….then she MIGHT learn her lesson.

  12. Marjalane says:

I swear TMZ always takes the most contrary, bizarre positions on things. I’m beginning to think they’re just another arm of People magazine.

As for Linnocent, it’s just a matter of time before she screws up. And those waistlength “my little pony extensions” DO look like grade C hookerhair.

  13. Kristin says:

I have a feeling that the judge gave her 120 days with the expectation that she’ll get more after the trial. 14 days is much, much too short. :/

  14. Ruby Red Lips says:

@Gee, there is no way Innocent is Linnocent, Linnocent doesn’t have enough intelligence or functioning brain cells left to form a sentence, let alone spell!

So Linnocent will be at home doing lines and downing shots with loving ma Dina… Justice, don’t u love it!

  15. wunderkindt says:

She will mess up again, so dont worry.

    Crackery continues on!

  16. Roma says:

I started saying this a few months ago: TMZ used to be all up in Lindsay’s shit and was very aggressive in calling her out. Suddenly they started running all these pro-Lindsay stories and it’s pretty clear that their direct source is either her or her mama.

I wouldn’t be surprised if TMZ pays Lindsay on a regular basis. Let’s just hope that Harvey’s getting some sex out of the deal or he’s totally being suckered.

  17. Hellen says:

Shawn Chapman Holley will soon be starring in “The Devil’s Advocate 2: Electric Boogaloo” in the Keanu Reeves role.

  18. Blue says:

Ewww who would want sex from her? Harvey is gay so he def. Would touch those biscuits with a 10 ft pole. I’m not surprised she’s about to skate on this too. I mean how stupid do they think ppl are to believe that ” normal” ppl would be getting all these free passes

  19. flourpot says:

I can’t be the only one who wants to see her smiling, smug face show up in court and get bitchslapped, by the judge, with an actual jail sentence. Then, then! I want them to record her being taken out in handcuffs with those crocodile tears leaving smoking acidic holes in the sidewalk behind her. Right? Yeah, I’m dreaming.

  20. logan says:

Just wish this “person” was a boogie so she could be flicked off the finger of society! So tired of reading every little thing about her boring, boring life. She will always just be a name and face who’s only small hint of success comes in the form of a troubled life.

  21. Chris says:

I wonder when she’ll start circulating rumours about her cameo in Hangover 3?

  22. Ol cranky says:

I don’t understand, if you get the luxury of serving your sentence at home, you should have to be confined for the full sentence

  23. dorothy says:

Innocent…just keep on being a co-dependant. She’ll eventually end up in jail or dead.

  24. the original bellaluna says:

@ Cheyenne – That’s why I refer to it as the “LEGAL system” and not the “justice” system – it keeps a lot of people employed; but rarely, if ever, is justice actually served. (In Hell-A specifically, and CA generally.)

@ Crash2GO2 – Amen! Linnocent “Sticky Fingers” McCrackpants has never worked full time for 3 whole months at ANYTHING. (I mean, besides being a drunk, falling-down-in-front-of-the-self-called-paps, cracked-out loser who would blow just about anyone for some blow.) It shouldn’t be too hard for someone who has failed at meeting EVERY. OTHER. REQUIREMENT. placed on her by the court to fail at this one as well.

    @ Ol cranky – Co-sign!

  25. Estella says:

The community service may be the most stringent part of her sentence. Hopefully, she will learn something from working with the less fortunate (and the dead).

Kind of off-topic, I wonder if super-pimp/manager Kris Kardashian would even be enough to help Linds get a career back after all this.

  26. truthzbetta says:

I too am outraged … by her very, very bad weave.

The rest is kind of what you get after you celebrate turning 17 with your mom helping your buy a pair of soggy implants and your first of too many (unpaid? paid?) dates with Fez.

  27. Shelley says:

@Crash, I have to wonder what ‘work’ she does there, as I mentioned re: her Day 1 outfit of no bra/tank top/short-shorts and ballet flats. This is a homeless women’s shelter at which the residents are expected (I hope!) to keep themselves, their rooms, communal areas, and bathrooms, and clothing clean. So Linmate isn’t doing manual labor. Yet she has absolutely no training or skills to counsel any of these women, many of whom have mental health and addiction issues, much like Linmate herself.

Clerical tasks like filing would be handled by staff and involve honoring HIPA and confidentiality laws, so ahe can’t be allowed to do that, not to mention concerns over the havoc she’d wreak on paper or electrnoic files.

So seriously, short of keeping the staff somehow entertained with Spicy Stories of her Glory Days – what is she doing there?

  28. KJ says:

You know what’s sad if this is true – all these easy breaks and loopholes Linnocent gets only help push her closer to death. It’s pretty clear she’s got substance abuse issues. Whether she has them under control right this second is pretty irrelevant. She WILL relapse. Especially considering she’s never really been able to demonstrate extended sobriety. I think unless she truly has to face some consequences, which she hasn’t ever, just tied up the legal system with her bullshit, she’s going to end up like River Phoenix. Dead young due to drugs at a seedy Hollywood hotel notorious for partying.

Shawn Holley might be a good lawyer, she was on the Dream Team that got OJ acquitted. But she might also be a shitty person. She WAS on the Dream Team that got OJ acquitted. She has to realize that although she’s getting the outcome her client wants, she’s just ushering in her death, right?

  29. Jessica says:

Get the casket ready! Seriously at this point let Lindsay OD.

  30. michelle says:

This isnt fair i got arrested for domestic violence spent 7 days in jail was not even allowed to plea cant afford a lawyer and am already seving over a month on house arrast. all b4 i have even entered a plea!!!!

  31. dovesgate says:

It’s ok ladies – all this trick is doing is setting herself a record of priors. Soon she won’t be able to hide behind first offenses and all the leniency that goes with them for celebrities. Let them give her their slaps on the wrists and while bowing and scraping while she sashays down the court’s red carpet.

Sooner or later her Adderall-addled brain will slip up and she will get caught with a felony that she wont be able to wriggle out of.

In the meantime, I hope more people stand up like Stevie Nicks and tell her flat out she’s a piece of shit (OK so Stevie didn’t say that. I read between the lines) instead of playing nicey-nice fake Hollywood style like Travolta.

  32. bitca says:

For the shoplifting bit (since they removed the wildly jacked-up price tag on that necklace)—community service is the norm—NOT jail time.

In the 80s an attack of seriously weird youthful idiocy landed me w/a day of community service. Found myself in a bus in which 95% of the riders had been caught ‘boosting’ stuff. White, black, straight, gay…. Not sure how many days/hours they had to serve, but gathered this was the standard penalty for shoplifting. BTW; they might have had compulsively sticky fingers, but most of them were pretty nice.

Definitely wishful thinking, but if LL does her service time in full, could give her a better sense of how the ‘other half’ lives than a posh rehab. That Entitlement deal seems to be one of her more insidious issues.

  33. AnnieFleming says:

If she weren’t “famous”, this girl would be in jail, right now. Probably for 5-10 years.

  34. Crash2GO2 says:

@Logan: “Just wish this “person” was a boogie so she could be flicked off the finger of society! ”

    rotflmao. Seriously.

  35. Hakura says:

@Ol Cranky“I don’t understand, if you get the luxury of serving your sentence at home, you should have to be confined for the full sentence.

ITA. If she gets to lounge on her guilty ass in her own house, it should be for a much more decent amount of time. As Lindsay hasn’t been working in ages, telling her to simply ‘stay home for 2 weeks’ is just the same thing she’s been doing.

@Shelley“So seriously, short of keeping the staff somehow entertained with Spicy Stories of her Glory Days – what is she doing there?”

Perhaps she has latrine duty? What I wouldn’t give to send her to boot camp

@KJ“She WAS on the Dream Team that got OJ acquitted. She has to realize that although she’s getting the outcome her client wants, she’s just ushering in her death, right?”

This is something I’ve always struggled to understand, about defense lawyers. To know someone is guilty of what they’re charged with (no matter how horrible it may be a-la-OJ), & still be applying your time & effort to prevent them from having to pay for it…. How can she look at herself in the mirror? Lindsay hasn’t killed anyone yet, but not having any motivation to get her alcohol/drug abuse under control, she very well could at some point.

@Bitca – For some reason, I’ve never even considered it (actually stealing something)… although for some reason I seem especially good at noticing security weaknesses (& methods that could be used to get away with it).. Like what items would easiest to get away with.

  36. Madisyn says:

Waves and tears of sadness to brin & bellaluna

@ brin “What a joke”, I’m thinking SICK JOKE!

@ Crash2GO2, like bellaluna, BRAVO! I’ve said in the past, there’s no way Blohan is going to complete 480 hours of community service. Her idea of “work” is going to the Chateau Marmont for “meetings”, not mentioning there in private rooms for cash, drugs, booze, or all of the above. Flying to NY to “work”/party with Mother Crackhead. Doing photoshoots in no-name foreign publications no one has ever heard of. Crashing press conferences when she wasn’t even in the movie yet and then getting a cameo at best and acting like its the starring role.

Supposedly, she’s been to CS a couple of times and only for no more than 2-3 hours at a time, so I’ll wait for April of next year for all the excuses of why she didn’t finish 3 months of CS in 1 year.

I just want to finish this post by saying I’m absolutely sick and beyond disgusted. I’m just glad I don’t have to see that smug smirk on her face when sentenced and then the red carpet exit with a cheshire cat grin.

  37. capepopsie says:

    # 28 Can´t see your name. I´m with you. Nobody seems to be helping her get her life straight. Letting her off easy now is just postsponing her total breakdown, which will come in due time. SAD.

  38. Annie Hales says:

I’m with Bitka…I’m certainly no fan of Lindsey but a little mystified at the level of hostility she generates.
Given her upbringing ( practically raised by wolves) I’m unfazed by her choices..fairly predictable and sad.
If she’s able to turn it around it will be in spite of her background…but I for one am rooting for her..
