The song and the video are nothing special but I actually think that she looks like she has a bit more energy and enthusiasm and not so dead eyed this time.

I don’t understand the shades of the term “rape” as it carries today perhaps. I am completely able to believe that I am a dinosaur. However, I do not believe that every little bit of sex you have that you don’t want to have is or should be considered rape. What a horrible thing to do to a young man who wants to be with his girlfriend and convinces himself in as much of a drunken blur as she is that she (not only is consenting but) desires sex with her boyfriend.
Do I believe in date rape? yes. Do I believe in relationship rape? yes. Do I believe in emotional abuse? yes. I have been raped, and I have also been a victim of emotional/intellectual abuse from a live-in boyfriend. Do I believe that Bristol Palin was raped according to this story? no. But I do believe that Levi is a jerk according to this story. Absolutely.

It is also hard to throw out the crap when reading stories like this because there are so many who have such a double standard in how they react. “I don’t like Sarah Palin, by extension I don’t like Bristol, ergo she is lying – got what she had coming to her – etc.”
The charge of rape is almost like a trump card for some. As a guy, it is hard to defend against. Look at the Duke lacrosse fiasco, for example. The charge is like a nuclear bomb of accusations. False charges of rape makes the real charges of rape that much more difficult to process. Kind of like the false charges of racism we see so much of (not saying there is no racism! It is possible to disagree with a particular minority and not be a racist).

That Pajiba article is very well written. If you take away who these people are and it was just another teenager who woke up to realize that her boyfriend had taken advantage of her while she was drunk, I don’t think people should be quite so dismissive. I don’t even think she uses the word “rape” to describe what happened to her although I think it is a very real possibility. Alaska has the worst record of all states when it comes to rape.
Okay, couldn’t care less about the video etc., I just wish someone would fire Brit’s makeup/hair team- the eyebrow shape/tint and eyeshadow looks they’ve been giving her for the last few years make her look imbecillic, like her eyes are tiny, positioned too close together, and tilted down at the corners. Nit-picky? I know- it’s just my industry, so it drives me nuts- so easily fixed!
She is 30 years old. Time to grow up and stop trying to be a teenager.

On the plus side – this is the most animated I’ve seen Britney in a video in a while. She is really showing a little personality here.
Good on her for trying something new even if it is a little cheesy (instead of the choreography route – which always leads to criticism with her). I think that whenever you see new Britney stuff we just can’t help but compare it to her early work, and she is never going to capture that moment in time again.

I heard this song as an awful Bravo commercial for the summer shows and this backs it. It is awful. It is not even a song. As the wife of a real musician, I take umbrage.

The video is boring, the song is boring. But actually it’s the first time in years that looked half-alive and not like zombie robot. She looked like she had personality. Even if it was pretend but still it was nice to see it. Specially if you remember her recent zombie like interviews.
Maybe it was the good director. I always wondered why all those other directors of her videos could not catch a glimpse of her personality. They can shoot 30 takes. And good director can make his “actress” to act at least in one of them.
And when was this video shot? She looks way thinner here then she looks now during her tour. I found that she began shooting it 25 May. I don’t know. But she looks much thin here then in youtube videos of her concert.

PLEASE this video is really good (apart from her being dressed as Avril Lavigne). You can see a whole lot more personality and happiness than we have in a while and even her performances on tour have been improving recently, Britney is regaining confidence which is great 😀
I also think Britney looks really happy and having fun in the video. The video is simple and cute; the song is really auto-tuned but pretty decent for contemporary pop.

Tiffany – We are all under the influence of the Illuminati…and she is in her almost or already thirties and is an adult who has the chance to get her life back together thanks to her conservatorship. Think about her kids and her and what the best situation for her really is, do you think she needs to be completely vulnerable to whatever douchebag wants to come and take her $ ? Her parents may not have her best interests in mind but she obviously can’t handle her sh– by herself so second best choice. Same thing happened to my best friend and it saved her life. I don’t think conservatorship is always the prison people make it out to be. I think mental illness is the prison.
You can tell she just has no passion or desire to sing and perform anymore. Her interviews sound fake and scripted. I love Brit, but I just feel so bad for her.

(& for making the subsequent pregnancy ‘less’ her fault.) But I see your point, as rape can take place between any 2 people, even husbands & wives, let alone a ‘boyfriend’.
To me, this just proves that alcohol is a very bad idea in general. She *may* have participated as actively as he did, *may* been especially ‘suggestable’ because she was drunk, or *may* have completely passed out & taken advantage of.
