Bill Hudson calls out Goldie Hawn & daughter Kate as twin slutty maneaters

fp_7884133_big_hudson_bellamy_09_22

I’m rather perplexed about these pictures of Kate Hudson (with boyfriend and baby daddy Matt Bellamy) on 9/15 that feature Kate hiding the lower part of her face from the photographers. It isn’t as if she’s pulling her entire face under a hat, just the lower portion. Not that this necessarily means anything, but it’s slightly odd. What’s she hiding?

Speaking of various shades of privacy, Kate’s father, Bill is still leaking excerpts from his upcoming memoir, Two Versions: The other side of fame and family. Last time, we discussed his claims that Kate has done really “awful” things and that Goldie hasn’t helped matters due to her alleged pattern of parental alienation. Both sides seemed truly pathetic, but many of you agreed that Bill was the douchier party because he’s the one airing the family’s dirty laundry in public for some cash. The whole vibe was geared towards selling a book that no one would otherwise want to read at the expense of dragging out decades-old trash to the pop culture curb; and my assumption was that he was only in it for the money and not that he was pulling a Billy Ray Cyrus by emotionally blackmailing his daughter into rebuilding their lost daddy-daughter relationship. However, the latter notion is exactly what Bill claims to be hoping for after the release of his memoir. Yet the fact that he’s completely calling out Goldie as a cheating wife and slutty bed-hopper and declaring that Kate’s going the same slutty way, well, that doesn’t bode well for Bill’s self-declared good intentions. Unsurprisingly, there’s lots of drug-related stuff in the memoir too:

Kate Hudson may have inherited more than just her megawatt smile from mom Goldie Hawn. In an explosive new tell-all, Kate’s estranged father, Bill Hudson claims that Goldie was a drugged-out absentee mother who passed her bed-hopping ways along to her A-list daughter.

In a Star world exclusive, Bill, 61, is releasing excerpts from Two Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family, due out by Nov. 1. He recalls falling for Goldie by their second date at a Rolling Stones concert in 1975, despite her drug use. “A joint got passed to Goldie, and she took a giant toke. A large plate of cocaine came by, and she took a huge snort. We headed back to her house…had some wine, and both smoked some pot. We spent most of the night getting high.

The pair ultimately wed and had a son, Oliver, in 1976. But Goldie’s focus soon changed. “Her priorities shifted when she filmed Foul Play with Chevy Chose, and our kids were her [second] priority,” Bill writes, revealing that by the time Kate was born in 1979, he felt like a sperm donor. “It was very businesslike,” he writes. “The attitude was to basically have this baby, get it done, and keep moving. It felt like another project.”

But it was Goldie’s insistence on an “open” relationship, not her ambition, that doomed their marriage, he claims. “She was more into show business than I ever was, and I could live with that, but not the infidelity,” Bill says.

Notorious ladies’ man Warren Beatty came between the couple after he costarred with Goldie in Shampoo, but the last straw was her fling with french actor Yves Renier, whom she met while filming Private Benjamin. Bill filed for divorce when Kate was just a year old.

His ability to bond with his daughter was hampered even more by Goldie’s new man, Kurt Russell. “The lack of visitation meant many knock-down, drag-out fights [with] Goldie,” Bill writes. “[The kids] didn’t realize that I was slowly but surely being replaced as their father figure.” As the fighting intensified, so did the distance between Bill and his children. Finally, he simply gave up: “I will honestly regret that decision until the day I die,” he admits.

Bill still harbors some hard feelings against Kate, who he says is doing the same thing as her mother. “Kate was married to Chris Robinson and then divorced him to be with Owen Wilson. It closely mirrored my situation with Goldie.”

Bill hopes that his memoir will serve as an olive branch and lead to a reconciliation with his children. “I realize there’s nothing I can do to fix it, but I hope there is eventually a resolution.”

[From Star, print edition, October 3, 2011]

Part of me wants to feel sorry for Bill if he was truly pushed out of his children’s lives, but I also think that if he really wanted to be involved, he wouldn’t have given up in the face of any amount of pressure. Also, Bill makes quite the assumption that Kate divorced Robinson just to be with Owen Wilson. Exactly how does he know the inner workings of his daughter’s romantic life if he hasn’t spoken to her in decades? Even if Bill is unconsciously projecting Goldie’s alleged ways onto Kate, it’s still out of line for a father to say this in public about his own daughter. I mean, we all know that Kate is a serial monogamist and can’t be without a man for even a moment, but seriously, “Dad,” shut your mouth.

Sounds like somebody is butt hurt for getting a taste of his own medicine (men act this way all the time)

  2. mln76 says:

The man is a creep. He had an ugly divorce from Cindy Williams too. I remember her talking about how awful he was during their marriage in an interview and how he influenced her to break ties with Penny Marshall not realizing it was the same man. There is no reason to bring Kate into his mess with Goldie that happened 30 years ago. Get a job dude.

  3. Vanessa says:

    cold sore?

  4. Cherry Rose says:

There’s no way to get closer to one’s children than by selling them out to make a quick buck or two. (/sarcasm)

Obviously he’s hoping to get some sort of reaction from Goldie or Kate, because that will get his “book” more attention. Glad to see Goldie and Kate are ignoring him.

And I agree, if he truly wanted to see his kids, he would have fought tooth and nail, for however long as he had to to make sure he could see them.

He just sounds like a bitter old man who’s career aspirations didn’t work out.

  5. k says:

He seems wretched yet I believe the Goldie stuff.

  6. kimmy says:

what is going on w/ her face??

  7. Leticia says:

He is vile, exploitive and pathetic, but I bet there is a lot of truth to his claims.

  8. Cirque28 says:

Goldie Hawn smoked weed and snorted coke in 1975?? STOP THE PRESSES.

It’s pretty rare that one person in a marriage is a wasted, disinterested parent who repeatedly strays while the other is a perfect angel. I have a feeling Bill is minimizing his own sins.

  9. Mitch Buchanan Rocks says:

Maybe Kate got some of those new fangled duck lips?

  10. Flan says:

Just the fact that he’s writing a book like this about his own daughter, makes it very clear the type of man he is.

    The egotistical, not-caring one.

  11. your mama says:

    ~cosign with Vanessa.

Looks like a cold sore on her lip in the one pic. Cold sores suck!

  12. aenflex says:

Hard to trash Goldie….I love her so, I don’t give a shit about the nineteen seventies. Shit I smoked pot and snorted coke in the 90’s….If Goldie was such an awful mom, her kids wouldn’t be so close, they have thier own money. And frankly, Kate appears to be a great mom to Ryder and now Bing. So eff this guy, he’s clearly a famewhore and probably has some gambling or drug addiction of his own that he now needs money to support.

  13. fabgrrl says:

@Cirque28: That was exactly what I was going to post. Smoking pot and doing lines at a party in the 70s?!?! Wow, what a druggie!

  14. Kimbob says:

Indeed…why IS she hiding her mouth from the photographer? In the one pic that she doesn’t, nothing looks awry. Oh well.

It seems to me Bill Hudson is trying to SELL the idea that he did, in fact, try to be a father to his kids w/Goldie…but I’m not buying it. I agree w/@Cherry Rose that if his children meant THAT MUCH to him, he wouldn’t have given up, as he lamely tries to explain away.

His book, for the most part, is probably “truthful” inasmuch as he can be unbiased. Again, there are two sides to a story..I can’t take his take as the final word. Also, yes, a wretched man for doing this. Shame on him. He’s looking for a quick buck the easy way, & hell-to-the-no…I don’t buy it for one minute that he’s thinking this book will bring them together…gimme a break.

  15. ahoyhoy says:

Cirque28—AND Goldie was at a ROCK and/or ROLL SHOW! Totally wild! Out of control!

  16. Nev says:

I believe this is all about money. He want money and they will not give it to him. So he think what better way to get revenge on those two than to write a book bashing his ex and the child that would not give him money.
This guy is a low life creep and should leave them alone. He is hiding behind the lie that he wanted a life with his kids-well since he wrote this book-I don’t believe him. I think he is like Lindsay Lohan’s dad. This guy is no sweetheart.
Why don’t he move on with his life. He has a new family and shut up, it’s been 30 years. He probably doing a lot of damage in his new life-they are probably sick of his bitterness. He should find a job and earn his own money. I hope no one buy that damn book.

  17. Lorel says:

Obviously he didn’t learn anything from John Voight. STFU, dude.

  18. Wif says:

Sounds like the kind of bitter man who can’t accept that some women want children AND a career AND a sex life. (News flash, men want that, so do we.)

  19. MJ says:

And a Rolling Stones show, no less! SHOCKER! As if he wasn’t right there beside her, snorting away.

God forbid a woman should want to play the field a little in her youth (or middle age, or golden years…)! I am clutching my pearls! Perhaps Goldie’s non-traditional views of marriage/relationships is what has kept her with Kurt all of these years. Who is this creep to judge?

This guy’s clearly a dick. Nobody’s going to buy his stupid book, anyhow.

  20. ladybert62 says:

Wow – this is all news to me – I had no idea regarding Goldie! Has she changed her ways since she has been with Kurt Russell?

  21. Original Tiffany says:

Oh NO! Goldie Hawn smoked (s) pot? FFS, her daughter married Chris Robinson, if that doesn’t say pot smoker, what does?
They seem to really be effin up their lives with the wacky tobaccy, huh? Coke in the 70’s? Didn’t they pass that out free at the door back then?

And can we just get it over an legalize weed so that if you don’t want to drink, you can smoke a joint at night? What’s the big deal?

  22. Jayna says:

He’s scum. Keeps selling stories to support himself. Goldie rocks.

  23. Faye says:

Slutty maneater? I guess Goldie may have been at one point, but I think she’s been married to Kurt Russel, like, my whole life or something so I just don’t think of her that way.

Also, my dad’s wife said some horrible stuff about me and my mother to my mother and my dad just let it go. He even tried to get me to get over it, saying, “She was just mad.” That infuriated me! It’s further strained our already strained relationship. LONG STORY SHORT: bad mouthing your children -or letting it happen- is not going to make your relationship with them better, or in this case create one at all.

  24. The Other Katherine says:

Bet Kate Hudson regrets keeping her biological father’s name in her professional life. What a whiny, self-centered douchebag that man is.

  25. Meg says:

i bet she’s covering a double chin, after having a baby. maybe a zit

  26. lucy2 says:

I thought the same thing – a Hollywood actress did drugs in the 70s? I’m stunned! Please.
I don’t like Kate at all, and don’t care for Goldie all that much either, but this guy needs to just shut the hell up. All this only makes HIM look bad, but he’s too stupid to realize that.

  27. Kara Ann says:

    Bitter, bitter, and more bitter.

I don’t disbelieve Mr. Hudson’s tale about Goldie routing him out of the children’s lives. I’ve seen that happen too many times as a result of divorce. However, they are no longer children and if he has been unable to establish a relationship with them via private communication (letters, emial, phone call) then that is their choice. He should have made the best peace with it that he could and moved on.

Sad that the almighty dollar has once again trumped common decency. Congratulations Mr. Hudson for failing to handle private matters privately. Makes me believe that, one way or the other, it was always all about money for you.

  28. bananapanda says:

I always got the impression that Bill Hudson was an unreliable musician who popped in and out so Goldie put her foot down for the sake of her children. The fact that Kate and Oliver seem like nice hard working children is a credit to Goldie and Kurt setting a solid parenting foundation.

  29. annaloo. says:

    Gabriel Aubry, take notes….

  30. mzjask says:

    so effing tacky!!

  31. Turtle Dove says:

MJ (19) – Yep. You got it right.

Nothing brings a family together closer than calling mother and daughter whores. This guy comes across as a d-bag.

If he acts this way now… decades later… and this belittling…. what was he like when they were together? If this is how time has mellowed him then bravo for Goldie for severing those ties.

  32. Truthful says:

this reminds me when Alec Baldwin called his daughter a “pig” and the whole world knew it.

fathers get angry and do and say the wrong things, sad.

He should blame Goldie not his daughter, she was taught certain behaviors from her age-defying mother.

  33. Me says:

To be honest, I like Goldie and Kate, but I believe Goldie was what he said she was.

It’s one thing to be a bad wife and a sl-u-t and another to shut your children from their father, and I think she did both and he has the right to call her out on that.

While I do suspect Kate, unfortunately is taking after her mother, in the men department, I don’t think it’s fair to claim she is as slutty or a bad wife as her mother.

I think she made a mistake and married way too young, and it’s a totaly different story than what Goldie did.

Though, perhaps a different mother would tame those ways in her daughter.

I don’t think a father should be saying that about her own child, but I can see why he would have such frustration built up inside of him, and as for he ex-wife- he has earned the right to tell the world about that.

  34. kiki says:

Wow, what a prize this man is.

I can make the case that he’s got every right to trash Goldie — they were married, had kids, had a life together, etc. so he can speak from ‘experience’ (or his side of it).

What I find unacceptable is how he’s trashing his own kid (& her love life), whom he admits he doesn’t even have contact with. Contradiction much? And what about poor-ole Oliver? Doesn’t his own son figure in anywhere in that tale of woe? Sounds like the elder Mr. Hudson harbors some deep-seated resentment against women. Dick.

  35. samab says:

they are probably all assholes, all of them.

  36. The Original Ashley says:

Me – agreed. I don’t know about Goldie’s past (I was born in ’86) but maybe Kurt calmed her down (they have been together forever) and despite what I may think about Kate (poor man’s Goldie, skank) Goldie must have done something right because her kids seem to really love her and she seems like a constant presence in their lives (unlike their father).

However if Goldie pushed Bill out and implanted Kurt, shame on her (and Kurt). It’s not unusual for women to do that but I was always under the impression that Bill didn’t want to be a father (that might be coming from Kate or Goldie’s E!THS though so maybe it’s biased?).

  37. KKola says:

    Shut it, sperm donor!

  38. Kim says:

He sounds like scum but i do think he is right about them going thru alot of men. Kate had her young son around many different guys she was dating and that is bad news.

  39. original kate says:

“She was more into show business than I ever was, and I could live with that, but not the infidelity,” Bill says.

isn’t is funny that after all these years he is still trading on his famous daughter & ex-wife. something tells me the only reason he was not “interested” in show business is because goldie’s career skyrocketed and his failed. something else tells me he is a douchebag; no wonder kate wants nothing to do with him.

  40. Peachy says:

    What a Goldie Digger!

  41. ZenB!tch says:

I don’t know anything about Goldie’s past but he is spot on about Kate. I can’t stand her and all her bedhopping.

However, I always thought she got that from dear old dad.

  42. mimi says:

Actually, this all makes me feel sorry for Kate. She seems like a sweet person but all the parental drama ..that is *still* going on…has to have its effects.

  43. poiup says:

Oh my own first thought on seeing the photos was that she doesn’t wanted to be papped, and is just covering the lower part of the face because she still needs to see where she’s going. She’s not wearing a hat, if she were she would pull the brim down like you say and turn away from the camera and look downward like she’s doing in the third shot.

  44. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

I’m not defending him, but didn’t it say they both spent the night getting high? They both sound like they’ve got cottonmouth where the brain matter’s supposed to be.

  45. truthSF says:

    Peachy:

    What a Goldie Digger!

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    WINNING!!! 🙂

  46. JulieM says:

If Bill Hudson wants to have a relationship with his children, I don’t think this is the way to go about it. I can believe what he said, though, about Goldie shutting him out as a father.

BTW, Goldie and Kurt Russell were never married.

I consider Kate Hudson to be almost completely void of any talent. A non entity.

  47. DebbieV says:

Hudson makes it sound as though a joint had never touched his lips and coke had never traveled up his nostrils until the night he met Goldie.

Somehow I have trouble believing that.

  48. Truthful says:

its known that Goldie was/is a mess and she’d do anything and anyone to make it and she did.

I just don’t agree w/her keeping the kids from the dad and w/$$ and power, its easily possible.

  49. JaneWonderfalls says:

This has been years of this scrap. Bill has never been a father to Kate and Russell stepped in and fathered her and her brother and Daddy Bill is bitter. I have never really heard Kate or Goldie spew any negativity toward Bill this is more than just kissing and telling this is a man who was never a father to any of his children, what about his son that’s not as famous where is the talks about him? That’s right only people want to hear about Kate and Goldie the famous one. What a low life form,I don’t care what people do in family situations you never air your personal business. He should work on being a father and a grandfather not an opportunist.

    • eca says:

Goldie, Russell and Kate have publicists to spin any story. There are people to help make them look good and sound intelligent in interviews so that Kate doesn’t come across like the brat she is and Goldie is mother of the year… Ask people in Aspen what they are really like.

Bill Hudson is fighting an uphill battle because people generally want to believe Goldie is who they think she is – the bubbly innocent girl from Laugh-in. If anybody were to sue Goldie, they would be the bad guy and lose….

  50. Mrs. Odie 2 says:

If Kate were a man, no one woould bat an eye at her “bedhopping”ways.

  51. kikster says:

What a stupid way to repair your relationship. Nail in the coffin, more like it.

That said, I wouldn’t doubt if most of what he says is true. Can’t stand Goldie and not a huge fan of Kate. Goldie and Kurt Russell are notorious for their ‘open’ relationship (not married as a couple people have said), so it would seem Goldie found someone who was OK with the cheating, not that she changed or that he’s lying.

But still, ridiculous to try and extend an olive branch by publicly trashing your kid and her mother.

Curious what he says about Oliver or if he has any relationship with his dad.

Will have to go google and learn more about the divorce from Shirley Feeney. 🙂

  52. Carolyn says:

Goldie Digger – Peachie welldone! With you all in thinking the guy really needs the money. Don’t doubt any of the drug and other antics claims…Goldie has never claimed to be a saint…has just kept this aspect quiet. It was the 60’s/70’s man! They didn’t sit around having love ins drinking cups of tea.

  53. mia says:

Goldie Hawn has done her fair share of slamming Bill Hudson and exactly who cried over that??
Kate Hudson changes men like most women change their fragrance so who is telling the truth here?

  54. eca says:

I don’t doubt Bill Hudson is telling the truth just from what I have seen of Kate Hudson. He fell in love with a celebrity who didn’t need him once he gave her kids. It’s a sad story and Goldie Hawn had the public persona, money and power to render him powerless against her. Nobody could win placed in his position…

  55. sdf says:

Goldie’s hot and Kate’s even hotter. Oh, and I’m smoking pot right now as I type this into my phone. Unfortunately I can’t find coke anymore. Everyone’s into Meth and that stuff’s vile.
