Here are some photos from this weekend’s Variety “Women of Power” luncheon in LA. Eva Longoria and Demi Moore were the co hostesses, which… just my opinion, tells you a lot about the event. Granted, lots of great women doing great work were honored by Variety. But it feels like the women who were honored were just the ones that agreed to show up, because they’ll literally say yes to any invitation. Demi, Eva, Olivia Wilde, Lea Michele and Jennifer Love Hewitt were there. That speaks volumes.
Anyway, Demi wore this Victoria Beckham dress, which looks fine, if not a bit boring. Demi’s problem (in my mind) has never been her figure. Yes, back in the day, she used to just look softer. I liked her “soft” look so much better, but Demi seems to prefer this current look – sinewy, slender, the yoga/Pilates look. My problem is with Demi’s face – it really just looks so rough. Like she’s been tweaking so much, she’s starting to lose control over it. Her smile looks like a painful wince and she just looks strained and yes, busted. I wonder what she would have looked like if she didn’t mess with her face? My guess is that it would have been a lot better.
Next up, Eva Longoria in Ferragamo. It looks like everything else that Eva has ever worn. She does that to every dress – she never looks “new”. It never feels like she’s working a new look, it’s always the same shellacked, game-show-hostess beauty. Eva spent her time on the red carpet praising Demi, saying, “She is an amazing human being. She is just a dynamic human being who can balance work, motherhood and philanthropy so well.” Yikes.
And finally, Jennifer Love Hewitt in Herve Leger. Because she must own two dozen bandage dresses and somehow that never gets boring for her. “The muumuu or the bandage dress? I can’t decide!”

Some people (Demi) can part their hair in the middle and get away with it. Others (Jen Love) ahem. Cannot.
I think Eva looks the best of the lot of them. Lovely colour and shape on her. She looks very pretty. The shoes are right.
Demi is simply getting old as we all are and regardless how much you tweak, eventually you have to own up to what age you are. I say, lose the long hair Demi and as CB suggests, get softer. JLH looks very strange.
One of the things that looks strange with Demi’s face are her big horse teeth. They make her smile look strained because they’re too big for her mouth.
Why do people get those enormous veneers that look like dentures? I don’t get it….
Otherwise I like the dress on her but she should fill out a bit more.
Like the dress, don’t care about the shoes she chose for it.

White is a draining, unbecoming color on women of a certain age. It isn’t doing Demi any favors here. I like her hair. Eva – whatever. She looks okay. Jennifer Love Hewitt – could her hair be any more unflattering than that peering through the curtains look.
Demi Moore’s body looks great, dress is great, shoes meh. Face, disaster. Stop girlfriend, just stop.
I think JLH looks good. So shoot me.

I think Gloaming is on to something. Been wondering about her mouth/jaw changes for a while. Looks like dentures and changes shape of face and smile.
someone should ask Demi why her dress doesn’t fit her at the bustline. its so baggy there. otherwise i like it.
@LadyJane, I honestly think that no one–NO ONE–past the age of about 11 looks okay with that harsh middle part. It does Demi no favors, either. Imagine how much softer she’d look with a side part… I agree that he face is looking painful and stiff and hard–but that middle part (and the accompanying long, stringy, ratty extensions that everyone seems to have)–it’s just worsening an already-bad situation.
Demi’s face looks less busted than it’s looked in a while imo. It looks a little more like normal aging(?), which contrasts weirdly with the ginormous veneers (ita with gloaming here). She needed stronger makeup to avoid looking washed out in the dress, which otherwise would have been more flattering. She does look awfully thin.
Ugh…the only one who looks decent to me is Eva Longoria. Demi looks OK, but yes, that color is draining her…and her smile in that last pic….like a PIRANHA…YIKES!
And Jennifer Love-Hewitt….she should’ve looked in a mirror & decided to “pass” on that event AND STAYED AT HOME, instead.
Demi has always been slender-but she’s looking really thin to the point of gauntness-that’s not helping her face at all. How much longer until she and Ashton break up?
I don’t have a problem with Demi’s dress – ‘ol girl just needs to get a friggin’ haircut/new do.
Dang, talk about a frozen smile! And those arms are hideous – Demi is trying too hard to stay young.
So over those Herve Leger bandage dresses. JLH needs to toss that dress in the rubbish where it belongs.
Is it just me or has it been months since her and Ashton were photographed together?
She probably exercises so much that any cologen that she would have naturally breaks down. That is what happens to women when they age, they lose their cologen which gives them a nice, soft look. Plus, Demi has chosen some really bad teeth. My grandmother got dentures one time and for some reason they were not filed down so she looked like a rabbit when she put them in. Demi looks like a rabbit.
The problem with Demi is that if you’re a woman of a certain age and you go for extremely low body fat, you have to tweak your face or you’re going to look like a ghoul. It’s your face or your ass. She’d look fine with 5-10 pounds more on her and it would fill out her face too so she wouldn’t have to do the botox/fillers deal.
oh my god Jlove looks awful. that hair! those weird eyelashes! and THE SHOES! who pairs cream coloured over the top shoes with a snow white dress!?
Demi looks absolutely ridiculous. Her face is so botoxed she can hardly move it, her hair is better suited for a woman half her age, she is sickeningly thin, and I actually believe SHE thinks she looks great. What a pity.
Let’s see: Busted…meh…and OMG what were YOU thinking?!
With those chompers, Demi could be a Kennedy.

As far as Demi, I am confused by all the hoopla over plastic surgery to her face. Yes, she has had major work on her body and teeth, but she looks fine and doesn’t appear to have had much done to her face. And she may be one of the only women in Hollywood with naturally thick, beautiful hair. She needs to part in on the side and get long layers, but I love it long.
Instead of discussing how old she looks, we as women should be talking about how hot she is. The more we put down women who are older, the more it boxes our society into the whole, “once you reach 50 as a woman, you are an old hag…” whereas 50 year old George Clooneys of the world are still celebrated for their sexiness.
Demi, as always, looks harsh. the dress is fine, but yes, a little boring. And I like the JLH dress!
i’ve been wishing that middle part nightmare trend would go away for years now. no such luck, obviously.
Heather M (Heather)@ So we should be praising Demi for starving herself with her cleaning diets and lie saying she looks good with all that plastic surgery and say her face isn’t frozen from the Botox which it is. Why do you think she does it because she has yes people around her telling her how good and so much younger she looks with all the work she had done so she think it’s working so she keeps doing it. What Demi really needs is people in her life that are going to tell her the TRUTH that she didn’t need plastic surgery and Botox that she would look so much better and if she age naturally.
Happymom@ I’m with you on the (How much longer until she and Ashton break up?) I mean when is the last time they were photograph together? They used to do almost everything together and support each other at different events now they’re going to them alone, Ashton went to Brazilian and NY for fashion week no Demi something seems off and I think it’s only a matter of time before they make the announcements.
@Sue, I did not mention her weight; I mentioned her age. In my opinion, I think she looks great for her age. Guess I would be a “yes person” if I were around her, unable to tell her the “truth.”
I’m glad you care so much about Demi’s health and appearance. Maybe she will read your post and stop all of that clean eating (“cleaning?”) nonsense.

Demi is still beautiuful, but starting to get that “hard” look that all women get when they age. Not really sure there’s anything you can do about that.

Demi looks great in the dress. Someone said Demi is wearing hair extensions? Really? Or were you talking about J Love? I thought Dem always had beautiful luxurious hair and could go long with no problems.
As for Demi’s face. Well, she’s had work done before, so not shocked. But I never knew she was tweaked until I was in college. I just thought she was naturally blessed. But then again, that explains the children.
