Elizabeth “Lizzie” Olsen posed on the red carpet for the New York Film Festival premiere of Martha Marcy May Marlene, for which she’s already getting Oscar buzz for her performance as a young woman struggling to overcome her damaging experiences with a cult. Lizzie was wearing an Alexander McQueen dress and shoes to match, and I think the look is … alright, but I’m not crazy about the really thick, gold belt. Honestly, I’d like to see her wearing something from The Row. Of course, Lizzie probably wants to fully achieve success on her own and not lend the appearance of relying on Mary-Kate and Ashley to help her get there, but I think that wearing their clothing on the red carpet would be a nice show of Olsen solidarity. It would also ward off those persistent rumors of sibling rivalry that the sisters have already attempted to debunk.
Also in attendance at the premiere were John Hawkes, Hugh Dancy, and Sean Durkin. Wouldn’t you like to be in that sandwich?
Now onto the obvious part of this story, which is Elizabeth’s tweaked-looking nose, which was already looking pretty sketchy in her recent Nylon cover shoot, where it was a question of whether Photoshop was a big contributor in said wonkiness. Here, her nose still doesn’t look natural at all, right? Also, Kaiser and I both think that Lizzie’s face looks rather tweaked in general here. It’s possible that the severely pulled-back bun is a contributing factor, for the Croydon facelift hairstyle rarely flatters anyone:
Certainly, Lizzie’s nose looks much more “normal” when she smiles. In fact, she appears to be a completely different person in this photo:
Ultimately, it’s really difficult to tell whether Lizzie has gone under the knife. She’s only 22-years-old, and it looks like she’s had the same nose for at least the past few years. Here she is in March 2009:
And here’s Elizabeth in May 2007 with the same nose she has today. It’s highly possible that she was just born with an immensely narrow, pinched-looking nose, right? Or maybe she just got a really early nose job.

I really think she had some recent nose work. The tip looks different, as does the “narrower” bridge.
I keep thinking her nose is tweaked because I /expect/ to see MK/A’s nose on her. Like they’re triplets or something.
Maybe a nose job, but she’s hardly the only one in Hollywood and beyond. But she looks way older than 22 in most of these photos, too much makeup or something.

That black dress was OK until I got down to the see through ruffle thingie – awful.

IDK. She looks really, really different now as compared to that ’09 pic where she is wearing that hideous beige nightgown getup. It may just be the few extra years on her but she looks quite different to me for it to just be age. And she is only 22??? She looks way older than 22. Kind of like when you see a picture from the 1920s or 30s and you have no idea how old the woman is – she could be 15 or 45. Odd. I think she’s def had some kind of work done at some point.

No comment on her face but I will say it’s funny how at times she looks like the missing triplet and other times you almost can’t tell she’s an Olsen (minus the eyes). I like her over all.
Her face has two appearances in the red carpet photo’s. She looks really different in the photo’s with lots of light in them. I think that is the biggest difference.
When there is less light in her face, she looks like an Olsen, the there is too much light, she looks very strange.

Those are some fugly looking shoes with that black dress! Can’t comment on the tweaking or lack thereof, but she does look very similar to the twins in most pics I’ve seen of her.
I think it looks odd because you look at her and expect to see MK or Ashley’s nose. I also didn’t think she looked old in these pics, I thought she looked ridiculously young and unlined. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt.

i have very similar nose, maybe less “pinched” up on the tip-it’s completely natural; still, people in high-school used to ask me if it was “real”! that really gets on nerves.
but what is worse is that an idea that a 22 years old girl could “tweek” her face. WHY?? 22 years old!!
the kardashians, the lohans with their botoxed faces…i mean, i can (sort of) understand when you have some malformation that bugs your self-esteem, but to botox yourself, inject poison into your face when you’re not 30 yet?! crazy. unstable.

No matter how kooky I find some of her outfits to be (and that’s … a lot of them), I admire the fact that E. Olsen has a certain experimental fashion personality, opinions be damned. Reminds me of Kiki Dunst pre-Melancholia … and Dunst has really knocked it out of the park these days.
She has had her nose done like her sisters. Bad noses must run in the family. She looks like she has had a few other tweaks but nothing crazy.

Maybe she did, maybe she didn’t. I can’t bring myself to care about this particular Olsen. However, plenty of people are actually born with small and refined noses (although I don’t actually find hers to be particularly refined or delicate…just narrow-ish). The plastic surgeon’s ideal had to come from somewhere, you know.
Even if the other Olsens were born with larger/different noses, she still could’ve ended up with a nicer one naturally (story of my sister and I).
I vote natural. Some people have those unreal looking features since birth. Very interesting faces to look at, fascinating.
Lizzie is very thin. I think that might magnify the contour of the nose.
Her brow bone looks like it sticks out further than the tip of her nose, so no, not natural.

She looks so OLD at certain times! It’s so strange. She looks 30 and even 40 at moments. The nose is NOT natural but what else is going on? is it botox or a peel? I can’t believe she’s 22.
Jesus Christ. Sometimes the comments on here make me sick. Tweaked?! She is 22. I know it must be confusing (!!) because we are so used to seeing 16 year old celebs who look and act like they are 35 (I’m looking at you, Courtney Stodden) and 35 year old actresses desperately trying to look 16 (I’m looking at you….everwomaninhollywood) but I can assure you: this is what a mature 22 year old looks like who has been styled and made up within an inch of her life. No tweaking, just a horrible dress and a too-tight hairdo. No escandalo today
I think she’s beautiful and I love her topknot (they are totes chic). I have no idea what’s going on with her nose but it is a bit distracting.
The ensemble in the first photo is gods-awful, especially the shoes. It’s saved only a tiny bit by the fact that a very pretty young woman is wearing this getup.
I had a hard time seeing her relation to the Olsen twins until I spotted the last photo. Bingo! This woman is undoubtedly an Olsen.
