George Clooney & Stacy Keibler at the H’wood Film Awards: busted & budget?

wenn3574986

Last night was a pretty great night for premieres and galas and events, so today is going to be full of photo-heavy posts. First up: the Hollywood Film Awards (presented by Starz). The HFA got a surprisingly good turnout considering it’s not really a big awards show. The “stars” of the evening were definitely George Clooney and his girlfriend Stacy Keibler. As we know from yesterday’s post, Keibler is now charging up to $25,000 a night for these “personal appearances”.

Stacy is wearing this purple Maria Lucia Hohan (the same designer of the dress Stacy wore in London). It’s awful, isn’t it? Stacy had been steadily improving, but I fear we are witnessing a D-list relapse! It looks like a really bad pageant dress, only I don’t even think that pageant girls wear these kinds of boob-embellishment gowns anymore. Plus, the bottom half is sheer, and that dress feature is… rather tacky. In this instance. Um, are those built-in black bicycle shorts underneath the sheer skirt? WTF? Why do Clooney’s girls always look like strippers that got off of an eight-hour shift? And why does Clooney keep pointing to Stacy’s poor vagina?

To get that image out of your head, here are some photos of the always-lovely Ewan McGregor, who was also at the HFA last night. I’m not in love with his hair right now, but I still love him so much. Ewan and Clooney are tight, you know. I wonder what Ewan thinks of Clooney’s girls?

  1. Emily says:

I think her dress could work if the skirt was opaque, she got rid of the ruffles, and the black stripes on her side.

  2. i.want.shoes says:

I think he is pointing to the disaster that is this dress, especially the bottom part. If my date pointed at my dress/vagina with a WTF look on his face, I would beat the crap out of him.

  3. gee says:

This feels fake. Like Leo and Blake fake. Like Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal fake… I don’t buy it.

  4. Quest says:

    Rent-a-girl business…lol

  5. You don't say says:

She needs a new style. Her clothes just look like they are too small on top and she looks boxy. She needs clothes with sleeves or a bodice that covers her boobs. Sheer skirt with what looks like black spanx??! Oy vey!! George making faces on the carpet stopped being funny a long time ago. Bad, bad, bad!!

  6. aenflex says:

Dress colour and cut – fine. But the see thru ness of it all, that sucks.

  7. Marjalane says:

Hmmmmm. Not really getting why Clooney keeps trying to make this Keibler thing happen. Even though the Italian tranny was kind of bizarre, she came across in photographs as a much more believable “escort”. These red carpet roll-outs all look like a father presenting his daughter at some kind of Cotillian bash. I’m not a big Clooney fan, but Stacy seems to be cheapening his image.

  8. JaneWonderfalls says:

I actually thinks she looks great, the face, hair, makeup etc. I like the start and color of the dress but I’m not feeling the see through/transparent look at the end of the gown. All in all she looks wonderful:-) BTW Ewan looks especially dashing! I love him, he was in this wonderful film”The Beginners” that played this year starring the brilliant Chris Plummer. Excellent film!

  9. imabrat says:

For some reason, they don’t seem to go together well to me. I think it’s because she’s so huge compared to him.

  10. Victoria says:

That’s harsh George> If you’re not willing to help her with a great stylist then leave her alone about her showgirl dress.

In a way I like it on her because it’s closer to who we know she is, which bold, brashy, and unclassy (and I don’t mean that in a bad way). She likes that type of stuff. On the other hand, I thought that she did such a great job with the last dress that there was improvement that I want to continue to see her in better clothes.

But maybe she felt more at home in Hollywood dressing this way instead of dressing like that in places like Paris and London which are more sophisticated fashions spots

  11. tia says:

BUSTED!!! He needs to get her a stylist STAT!!!! Her clothes fit her all wrong.. and wtf is up with that position she is standing in (first photo) She needs some lessons on how to be lady like, although I guess he likes androgony.. nothing wrong with it, but dont wear all those damn dresses and try to look feminine.. not a good combo.. he likes very masculine women.. that is the thing now.. androgony

  12. Elizabeth says:

In the first photo, her feet are wide set and she looks like she knows she is about to be tackled. Still a wrestler, I think. The color of the dress is lovely, the sheer panel is terrible and they still look like a fake couple.

  13. tracking says:

She drags him down. He can’t elevate her the way he did with the others, and she certainly doesn’t elevate him. She doesn’t make him look like a stud, just an old perv. I remain perplexed by this coupling.

  14. guest says:

According to some of the gossip magazines she grew up in the business and has been doin red carpet events for years, IMO she obviously hasn’t developed a style for these events.

Just because you have money or can command $25,000 for a gig doesn’t mean you automatically have good taste.

She was a cheerleader for Baltimore Ravens, make her dress shorter and she could cheer in it.

THey have their red carpet routine down better, but still look awkward together. Something weird about this relationship.

  15. madpoe says:

Oh hell no girl you did not walk out the house looking like kinky plum! I didn’t know Barney made linqerie! Funny think is George probably told her she looked beautiful. Love the shot where he’s pointing at her bruised crotch. OMG thank U for Ewan tho’! Thanks!!

  16. Got it says:

Ewan looks handsome in those pictures .

  17. Jackson says:

Ugh. She looks like a stripper trying to look classy. Why would anyone buy a dress like this?

  18. ernie says:

mr. mcgregor is looking really fine here!

    regarding those other 2:

keibler doesn’t look bad per se (hair & make-up are alright), but comes across as totally cheap/trashy. no words for this bad dress choice.
but then again – if that’s what she truly likes, it’s at least her own (truly trashy n tacky) style.
it just says so much more about clooney…

speaking of which, clooney looks like he’s in huge pain in these photos – what’s up with the face/mouth? looking rough, old and, as others have noted, like a grandpa with his granddaughter…creepy.

either don’t drag your pieces out into the limelight/come out of the closet already/go see a shrink about your relationship-phobia/trauma, whatever your problem is, george – but, please: stop this parade of strangeness. it’s insulting.

  19. Sue says:

    Grandpa doesn’t approve! hahahaha…..

  20. Audrey says:

At Tia – In the first pic, she’s not “standing” she’s walking. That’s a bad, bad dress.

  21. Jayna says:

I agree she drags him down. They don’t look great together. The outfit uhhhhh, nope.

  22. taylor says:

Thank you for the photos of Ewan! Especially as a palate cleanser.

  23. LucyOriginal says:

First of all, thanks Kaiser for adding Ewan McGregor. It kind of almost saved this thread. Almost…
Second, this girl can leave the wrestling world, but clearly wrestling hasn’t left her. She has neither elegance nor presence.
Third, kudos for trying to be a believable couple in sync. But I think when you “try”, it speaks volumes for the kind of chemistry or lack thereof they have.
Lastly, I will throw my two cents there and guess she is getting ready for Halloween. The only thing is halloween is next week cray cray.

ps: she finally got her hair right. Everything else screams tacky.

  24. Fleur says:

What is this oily skin, did she go for mud catching after red carpet?

  25. Julie says:

She looks low budget to me consistently. This looks like what I used to dress Barbie in. I know folks will disagree but I much more prefered Elisabetta.

  26. G says:

Doesn’t George give her a dress budget? 4 out of 5 times, her outfits are tacky.

  27. Mikki says:

The girl likes her strapless dresses, doesn’t she? Too bad they don’t look good on her, the whole thing is a disaster.

  28. Green_Eyes says:

LMAO!!! Even George and his expression is saying WTF!!

George just needs some black shades and he can be the new addition to the cast of Men In Black, so he doesn’t have that much to laugh at.

So she goes up in fee then dresses cheap?? Some savings plan there..

  29. theaPie says:

    Oh, that’s bad.

  30. Who knows says:

    Could they look more ridiculous!
I’m starting to believe that she will probably be the ONE to tame him!
He looks weaker somehow when he’s with her so I wouldn’t be surprised if he eventually gave in.

I’m out of the Clooney team. Suscribing to Viggo’s 🙂

  31. Mandi says:

Pretty color, but hate the dress. The see-through skirt ruins it. One step forward…two steps back…

  32. Mandi says:

“And why does Clooney keep pointing to Stacy’s poor vagina?”

    >>And why does Stacy keep looking down at her boobs? Fearful of another tape mishap?

  33. Kimbob says:

They are quite awkward. I’m not buying it. @Julie, I totally agree w/you. At least George & Elisabetta were saleable. And yes, his age is starting to show. This is just NOT GOOD anymore. George, hang it up.

  34. Sumodo1 says:

Stacy, looking like a budget call girl (and most upscale call girls are hard to spot), makes George look old. OLD.

  35. layla says:

The dress is too short and the shoes, too matronly.

George – if you don’t like your rent-a-ho’s taller than you, get shorter ho’s, don’t make the tall ones wear bad shoes.

  36. jamie says:

She looks like one of my old Barbies come to life. Bad color, makes the look to promish.

  37. Got it says:

Btw: George looks hammered . He was probably trying to make an inebriated attempt at pointing at her legs . He looks like he’s been hitting the bottle for weeks . Look at how puffy he is . Maybe he realizes he is screwed . He’s into this gal for at least 2 years . She made sure her presence was known from the start . She played this one good . To swoop in on a man grieving over the end of a relationship , is low . I’m starting to feel bad for him .

  38. Samantha says:

I find George Clooney absolutely unbearable…Ewww

  39. Diane says:

OMG Marjalane, you nailed it with your #7 comment.

  40. dahlia1947 says:

She seems to eager and cheery around him. It gets on my nerves. Her dress is horrendous. and those shoes look very budget!!

  41. dahlia1947 says:

She seems too eager and cheery around him. It gets on my nerves. Her dress is horrendous. And those shoes? Very budget!!

  42. Linda says:

The other day she looked fantastic. Now, this is crap again. WTF?

  43. Alex says:

This is sad. Months ago he made my heart pound…now this. Say what you will about Elisabetta, but those two were red carpet compatible off the charts. They made each other look better as a couple than they looked individually. Keibler makes him look old, weary, awkward, forlorn, and downright pathetic. Except for the fake gazing into each other’s eyes, it looks like Keibler taking her pop to prom. BTW, dress = purple trainwreck. Who told her she could pull off strapless? In her case, third time was NOT the charm.

  44. bagladey says:

Omg, I love Ewan so much. I was so focused on that ridiculous, trashy, low-budget costume and horrible shoes that SK is wearing that I never even noticed what’s his name next to her.

  45. Kim says:

She needs a stylist so bad. Girl cant dress for the life of her!

  46. Intercontinental says:

Hi gossip friends, y’know we’ve been having a huge debate about this saga since Toronto – just so many things don’t add up with these two! Last weeks PR disasters were hilarious but yesterdays news that she’s jacked up her appearance (WTF???) prices did it for us. We got mischievously busy calling in gossip favours from the inner sanctum of Hollywood that have always been right on the nose before, well friends, guess what? In short we, you and the rest of the world have them BUSTED!! The PDA speaks for itself!! Now we’re just wondering which price tag GC is on, $10k or $25k, may be he gets a special rate for being a SUPER USER!? We love him dearly but he really needs to listen to this stuff!

  47. Turtle Dove says:

hmm… another dress made for a woman who’s at least 6″ shorter than SK. George is going budget on the gowns.

  48. guest says:

If I was George and did not have a significant other I would have taken a close friend, friends or family member who has been with me in the ups and downs instead of taking a girl in an see through purple dress, who spent the night tweeting about who was there and Football scores. Rude and Tacky.

George when does this become embarassing for you?

  49. Feebee says:

So is George paying the new fee or the old fee? I guess he’d be eligible for the $10K and could probably argue for a multiple use discount, throw in his AARP card and he’s probably got her personal appearance fee down to about $6500 per event.

  50. jane16 says:

I think she looks gorgeous, and I would like the dress except for the see thru part, which is ridiculous. I think she does this style very well and think its great that shes tall, strong, and not emaciated. Who cares if the woman is taller in this day and age?

As for the last one, Italian whatshername?, I think her friends or pr person must be online, becuz she was one seriously nasty looking woman. Skin and bones, and the skin looked like nubuck leather. She had bizarre lines on her face, coke zits and hair that was often oily and always in need of a trim. Her clothes selection was no better than this ones; in fact, I think it was much worse. She never wore a bra & had low hanging t*ts. But the worst thing by far was her horrid expression, several times her smile consisted of pursed lips and squinting eyes. She often looked pissed at GC, in fact they had a ridiculous fight on a red carpet somewhere in Europe. I never saw her where she wasn’t being completely disagreeable.

As for George, he’s a 50 yo with Irish skin, led a very fast life, & has severe health problems that cause him constant pain. Its not possible for him to look like ER doc forever. He is aging and aging fast, but the Kiebler woman has nothing to do with it.

  51. anne_000 says:

That’s a horrible dress. Stacy should learn that just cuz it has a designer label on it, it doesn’t mean it should be worn.

She should just wear ‘safe’ dresses in the future if she wants to stick around until the end of the supposed ‘contract.’

  52. Mitch Buchanan Rocks says:

@Julie I liked George better with Elisabetta too – better beard and they had at least some chemistry.

  53. jane16 says:

I always love Ewan, but whats with the German army haircut? His hair looks almost coiffed, doesn’t go with the face scruff, although I admit I prefer clean shaven for going out.

  54. april says:

    Tragic dress.

  55. Poppy says:

Hmmmm…..why am I reminded of those grandma knitted, nylon dolls from charity shops that sat on top of toilet paper rolls?

  56. Aqua says:

I think Elisabetta was harder on good old George.More so than what we may have realized. So he went for the All American girl nest door look.Having said that I had such high hopes for Stacy finding her dress style.Oh well their is always next time.

    Thanks for EM! Love him!

  57. DT says:

Both his new movies are tanking. He’s completely turned off his fan base.

  58. Elm says:

Is she on her way to the wrestling ring?

Love the dress except the transparent part which resembles her usual WWE outfits – I keep expecting her to drop the skirt and break into an ass wiggling dance!

Much prefer Clooney funny faces to the bored look …. otherwise you could take a cardboard cut out of him and put it next to the escort-of-the-moment …. year after year, he has exactly the same pose and expression

The finger-pointing was er, well spotted – kaiser you said it – rofl

Can’t wait for the next set of pics and wardrobe malfunctions soap opera

  59. Thea says:

He was probably pointing and asking is this the area where the vagina is? Since he doesnt spend alot of time there. He use to be really a good looking man, but he is not aging well and this parade of paid women makes him look more pathetic than they are.

  60. Camille says:

The colour of the dress is nice, but geez how fug is it though.

    Ewan is a cutie.

  61. Jayna says:

Ides of March is brilliant. Intelligent, riveting storyline. Stunning, talented cast: Ryan Gosling (the lead role), George Clooney, Paul Giamantti, Seymour Hoffman, Rachel Wood.

George can screw any girl he wants as long as he keeps on producing, directing and acting in great movies like this. Very talented director.

  62. Gelina Whiddon says:

    The Ides of March

  63. Ron says:

TACK-O-RAMA! My 10 month old neice could pick out a better dress.

  64. Aqua says:

@ Jeyna my husband and I saw the Ides Of March on its opening weekend and it’s one of the very few movies that we both thought was excellent. It’s not about taking a politician down in so much as it shows the dealings that one does behind the scenes in order to get ahead politically. The all star cast all put in solid performances and I think Georges career is far from over.
His personal life is his to do with whatever he wants too and I don’t find him old looking at all. What do we expect a man of his age to look like?

  65. Jayna says:

I don’t care if Ides of March is huge box office or not. It was packed where I was and so good to see an intelligent, thought-provoking film that was also very gripping. Ryan Gosling is absolutely amazing in it. Ryan is the lead character in this movie. George has a supporting role but George directed it and produced it. I have seen so many crappy scripts lately. Who writes these movies lately? This movie was a rarity. And Rachel Evan Wood was impressive.

Ague, I agree with your comments. It really makes you think about the underbelly of politics and what happens to idealism. And yes, I agree, George was handsome in it. People could care less about who he dates when determining whether to see a movie of his.

  66. Jayna says:

Oops. I meant @Aqua, not Ague. Sorry.

  67. crtb says:

They don’t look like a real couple. No chemistry.

  68. Gelina Whiddon says:

Can political dramas really make money at the box office?

    http://www.filmindustrynetwork.biz/ides-of-march-fail-box-office/12996

  69. Kloops says:

I think Stacy is a more appealing person, but, although I hate to say it, Eli was a better escort.

  70. Jen34 says:

George really needs to send this girl packing if he wants to redeem his image. Stacey is too pretty, young, tall and unpolished for him. She makes him look ugly, old, short and gay.

    Ewan looks great.

  71. Sakota says:

To be honest, I think Stacey is actually likable. She isn’t withered and she looks like an athletic every day girl next door. She looks healthy physically and mentally and she strikes me as the type that will enjoy living life for life’s sake, not that of a man or even money. If she’s charging for appearances, that is how the industry works. No different from any otehr up and ocming aspiring starlet.

  72. Freya says:

    @i.want.shoes – post #2

    LOL LOL LOL

  73. Cherry Rose says:

It’s Evan Rachel Wood, not Rachel Wood, or Rachel Evan Wood.

I think the dress sucks. Top half is okay, but Stacey has no waist, and this dress just makes that very obvious.

I do miss Elisabetta. I thought her and George looked well-matched, not to mention she looked classier than Stacey.

  74. jac says:

no stacy is wayyyyyyyyyy better than elisabetta and more feminine and elisabetta can envy stacy for her body and for george

  75. oh my! says:

oh dear! it looks like since ec is probably still under contract w/ disney, that her ‘friends’/trolls have taken to going after her replacement, as if this was ever personal to begin with.
should stacey have more elegance to her wardrobe?.. say, in an audrey hepburn fashion? of course. (i think she could even sport a nice hat w/ a chanel outfit, say. and some flats OC..) that sort of understated elegance is always a sign of a mature sense of one’s own, drawing the viewer into you rather than saying “LOOK AT ME!! look AT me!!!!” whatev…

anywho…if ec is still under contract w/ DWTS, and her minions/trolls are posting nasty, nasty things @ gc and craycray, then i can’t imagine that the investors on the films he’s in, the lawyers at mouse HQ and H’wood in general would ever look so kindly on ec e.v.e.r. having any sort of chance of ever beginning to have anything resembling a career in that town. so maybe her minions should calm down if they don’t want to make their girl look (more) like a bitter famewhore (than she already is).

  76. Jayna says:

Elisabetta had a hot body and wore clothes beautifully. She was more sultry. He looks better with brunettes.

  77. april says:

I thought George and Elisabetta were a very good-looking couple too.

Stacy is pretty but the relationship is nothing to get excited about.

  78. Playlist says:

George’s expression in the first picture says it all. Yes George, she does look like she forgot to finish dressing, and yes, she does look cheap.

Just how George likes them. Combined with George’s immaturity they make a perfect dysfunctional set.

The dress would be fine if she was standing outside on Hollywood Blvd. after midnight. She could easily earn that $25k she is hiring herself out for.

  79. janie says:

@jane16, I totally agree with everything you said in your post. I like Stacy and George together. At least she always has a nice expression on her face. I hope that George gets some help for his health issues. What is funny to me is that, when he was with Elisabetta, all anyone could say was how horrible she was. NOW, with Stacy, people are saying he looked better with EC! Poor man can’t catch a break.

  80. AZ says:

    Ewan is gorgeous!

  81. Come on! says:

Oh please spare me the “nice expression on her face”!!!
She has the exact same expression on every single picture. Exact same fake ” hollywood smile ”
He didn’t look good with EC at all and I thought he couldn’t do worst than her but i was wrong. The blonde bimbo doesn’t do him any favor.
I’m sure she is going to last much much longer than the others though!

  82. LucyOriginal says:

I don’t miss Eli a bit, but if George’s intentions were to make her look better for the American audience and after that make up with her it might be working because nobody bought his new relationship. But I just wish the past and the current girlfriends of ____ would go away.

  83. Gelinda Whiddon says:

Clooney says in Rolling Stone that he won’t discuss whether he currently has a girlfriend, but he appears to stay in from of the camera with his alleged contract girlfriends. I have never read or heard of a supposedly private movie star who is so public with his little trashy romances. Enough already George! If the rumors are true, buy out the contract and live a real movie star life (i.e. Richard Gere, Robert Di Niro, Denzel Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Samuel Jackson, Hugh Grant, Matt Damon and …)
