More information about Kim Kardashian’s Very Special Halloween Divorce Special. First, the above photo is new – Kim flying into Sydney, Australia without her wedding ring. Did you also know that Kim’s divorce filing occurred on a symbolic date for her and Kris Humphries? They met for the first time on Halloween on 2010. And exactly one year later, she filed for divorce. Epic. Here’s more from the million stories today (I previously covered Kim and Kris’s statements and stuff earlier this morning here):
*A source tells Radar that neither Kris not Kim were in love with each other. “There was affection” but no love. Kim was still in love with Reggie Bush when she first met Kris, and she’s probably still in love with Reggie now. Kim hoped that she and Kris would develop love for each other after they went through with their “arranged marriage”.
*Although Kim didn’t “love” Kris, she is “in love with love.” A source tells Us Weekly that Kim merely got “swept up”. Like a famewhore tsunami.
*Kim realized that they had rushed into marriage two weeks into the marriage. Sad, sad dumbass.
*Kim got upset because Kris was turning into such a famewhore. Takes one to know one.
*So how did Kim “fake it,” asks Radar? She continued to wear her wedding ring, she was always lying to media outlets and her fans, telling people that they were really happy together. She even claims she’d move wherever Kris needed to move for work: “I would go to Oklahoma City [if the Thunder signed Kris] … we’re not going to live a separate life.”
*People Mag discusses a preview of Kim & Kourtney Take NYC (or whatever) and apparently, during the filming of the show, Kim whines about potentially moving to Minnesota. Kris tells her that once she pops out a few babies, no one is going to give a crap about her anymore, so what’s the big deal?
*People Magazine also blames “media scrutiny” as one of the reasons why the marriage failed. Because it’s not like Kim invited the media into every single thing she does, ever. It’s not like she didn’t arrange to get pap’d on her honeymoon. Ridic.
*My favorite reason for why they split up: because Kris tried to “quit the show”. He also told Kim that if she didn’t move to Minnesota with him, he would publicly dump her.

I’ll admit, I watch their Kardashian shows, and for the most part find them enjoyable – staged or not (I like Khloe!). But really. She is so ridiculous. All this hoopla about a wedding that now seems obviously orchestrated to promote her “brand” (whatever – I like their shows but the products they try to sell are the cheapest and tackiest crap ever) and now this divorce that was conveniently announced on a Monday morning in order to milk all the coverage it can for her instead of burying it in end-of-day news on a Friday. She is so transparent, and it’s pretty appalling.
I just figured it out: the facelift buns these K-whores all wear is for the days when they take the clip-in extensions OUT of their hair – ! Because they don’t want us to see how little of their hair is real…….they go for sumo bun. AHA – !

@kaiser I like your reason for the divorce. I also know that dumb strumpet does not make any decisions on her own so her mom is the one who decided on this marriage and on this divorce. What is funny is if you have watched all their shows you can see the truth in everyone. I mean her mom even said to Humphs “when are we going to propose” meaning when is she going to marry her own daughter which is what it looked like on the 4 hour episode this fake marriage. That is just one example of how they reveal the truth about themselves.
Not surprised. I’ve known women like this – so desperate for the ring and the wedding (and the attention) that love or compatibility does not matter. I don’t think its unique to Kim. One of my “friends” has been engaged four or five times (usually about 1-2 months into the relationship) and almost married twice. Her only goal is to be married. When she’s not with someone, she’s upset because it will delay her getting married. I see a lot of the same qualities in her as I do in Kim – needs constant attention, has a ‘princess complex’ and some daddy issues.
Kim sure has had a lot of work done on her face. She has a really weird chin.

@Shelly – I too have always been a fan of their show but I can no longer take watching Kim and her mom (mom/manager/spouse/svengali all rolled into one). If they would just make the show fun and not about stupid life changing events like births and weddings it wouldn’t offend so much but using the memory of her dead father is grotesque and just a low thing to do.

I can proudly say I did not see Kim’s fake wedding either LOL I think they’re so popular in the media because they are easy and cheap for tabloids to get pictures of and interviews with (because they’re fame whores.) I think the wedding special was watched by only 4 million people. That isn’t that much.

I think the only fraud committed prior to and during this marriage was by Kim, so she’s not going to file annulment papers on the grounds of fraud! It would be against herself. Kris should file for an annulment for fraud against her! Then she has the nerve in her divorce papers to ask for “all assets and earnings acquired during the course of their marriage” to be awarded to her! Not how California law works. Unless she tricked him into signing a pre-nup that stated just that, and he trusted her and didn’t read it carefully. This looks to me like a diabolical plan to bilk Kris and anybody else willing to invest in the wedding of the century, out of a 2 million dollar ring, and all the earnings, property and assets acquired from this fake, over-the-top union, and then leave Kris high and dry while she walks away with millions. I read a book back in the early 90’s by Fay Resnick, who was “best friends” with Nicole Simpson. She chronicled the marriage brutality inflicted on Nicole by OJ. One of the things mentioned was the Simpson “inner circle”, which included Bruce and Kris Jenner. So – it appears that Kris really did know Nicole. However, these were some skanky chicks with money. Nicole started out as a waitress at a club when OJ picked her up from her obscurity. Kris was an airline stewardess (thats what they called them back then) prior to meeting Mr K. Not a scholar in the bunch, just a bunch of dumb chicks with money. I have got to credit Mama Kris with getting Bruce Boring back to life and pimping him out for money. What a natural segue into pimping out your own children. Their money is newly minted, and they will never be accepted by people in the higher echelons. I don’t think they care, however.

I know we like to think that everyone else on the planet is stupid and whatever generation we’re in is the most degenerate in history, so when people indulge in brainless entertainment, they (everyone else) can’t separate the entertainment value from the true value of this kind of k-circus-cirkus reality sham. I do assume that some people believe that these girls are presenting an un-rehearsed window into the heightened reality that accompanies such extraordinary circumstances…but whether that person should be derived from only-knowledgeable-via-gossip-assaults, or unabashed imbiber of trash-ertainment, I haven’t yet met that person. I’m not saying that those people don’t exist, but I just don’t get the sense that people beleive that this family is even trying to present a 100 per cent depiction of anything but the Brand Kardashian, which includes strains of true life that the Mater has seen as presenting the possibility of her own redoubtable kind of orchestration sometimes less noticeable to her kin than her viewing demographic. For the rest, it’s pre-manipulation and garish over-the-top theatrics that have to a point only worn the clothes of ‘real life’, and almost dare you to buy the brazeness as the genuine article.
It’s more than a little cynical, and an outrage to such-and-such, and a sideshow, and crude and craven, yes. Was this ever in question? Were these women ever held up as anything more than media mavens who mastered the art of manipulating our need to mock their indignity? And they’ve made a mint off it.
