So yesterday we reported on advance clips from 17 year-old Courtney Stodden’s Dr. Drew “Lifechangers” appearance where she got an ultrasound to determine whether her breasts are “rill,” as she, her stage mother and her 51 year-old husband have all insisted on. When I covered this, I mentioned that the sonogram probably wouldn’t reveal anything and that perhaps Courtney has had non-traditional enlargement where she’s had fat transferred to her breasts. I just never thought that she would willingly get a sonogram when she has breast implants that could easily be seen. This girl has been trained to be shameless, though, and even when the plastic surgeon revealed that she had implants she denied it and said “no, I don’t have implants.”
Then, as Evil Beet reports, the sonogram expert and the plastic surgeon totally backtracked and said “It could be bone.” You could tell they were just covering for her because they felt awkward pointing out that she was a blatant liar. It was ridiculous.
However, at least two potentially knowledgeable people commented on Dr. Drew’s site that the ultrasound wasn’t performed correctly. User Jamie wrote “I’ve been an ultrasound tech for 17 years. I saw the episode today and have been bothered ever since. Like someone else who posted said…the tech on the show is using the wrong transducer. The first images they were showing were not even of breast tissue it was of her liver! When they briefly scan her again from a different angle it was still hard to tell because they were using the wrong transducer! This proved nothing. I could care less about this girl. But, if this is a legitimate medical show it failed today! Do a real ultrasound!”
True, the show really did fail. They failed by putting this creature on, they failed by not doing the ultrasound correctly (allegedly) and then they failed by accepting her lies and weakly backtracking. Either there was an implant there or there wasn’t. Don’t just take that girl at her word, that was the whole point of the ultrasound. If you’re going to pull a stupid stunt like that at least do it right.

Several things about this whole thing are appalling. He says he got to know her via emails after seeing her website (which I didn’t know she had then) and that he thought she was at LEAST 29 before he found out she wasn’t (so what – was this some site her mother put up that was basically on the borderline of kiddie porn? Bravo, Shelly. Doug is lying when he says he didn’t know she was a minor. He has a mutual friend with the Stoddens, and he told Doug he had a friend whose daughter was interested in acting. Why would an ADULT need her parents to sign her up, or pay for, her acting classes (okay, maybe pay for, but everything was done through her parents). I have a slightly different take on this. The ultrasound may have been her mother’s idea and she convinced producers to bring in a sham “ultrasound tech” to “prove” her implants are natural. However, she didn’t count on the tech hitting the mark and revealing the truth.

It’s not how large her boobs are, it’s that they are SQUARE at the top, meaning that they put a too large implant in for the space in a child’s chest. It’s a classic sign and one if you live or have lived in or around Hollywood a deformity you see on a regular basis. Since the test was not performed correctly, the question has to be asked, why is Dr Drew so invested in this girl, or couple, why isn’t he calling this out for what it is, pedophilia.
When people talk about a parent signing for a teen to get married, it was done with kids around the same age who got in trouble! Not for a grand pa to marry a 16 year old! There is nothing in your body that is perfectly oval like that that would show up on an ultrasound in the breast area – except for an implant.

I’m a doc. On the first part of the video, the picture we’re seeing (it covers the top 2/3 of the screen, and has a bunch of smaller circles in it) is her liver. The flickering part near the left of the screen is the bottom tip of her heart. The flickering is probably her heart valves opening and closing. That round thing they were talking about at first (the “circular” object), I’m not sure what it was, but it doesn’t look like an implant. I think it may be the top of her gall bladder, but I’m not sure. They totally used the wrong transducer and are at the wrong depth.
The second view, when they were looking up, it does look like normal chest wall. Assuming that is the angle they were looking at.
I don’t think there are any implants seen on this ultrasound. I do think everyone on that show, including Dr. Drew, are ridiculous.
I don’t understand why in America u can have breast enlargement or any type of plastic surgery under age of 18?. Was completely flat chested @ 16 didn’t stop growing til 21 had dd cups by then. If had breast enlargement @ 16 wld have to spend fortune getting reduction.

And they can’t tell the difference between liver and breast parenchyma? What they thought was an implant is deep to the liver for heaven’s sake and is probably a pocket of bowel gas.

The doctor says clearly she has implants, and they’re circular and they’re under the muscle. It’s my guess because it’s very painful to have them under the muscle so hardly anyone wants it, but the result is very natural, she thought they wouldn’t be detected. But sorry they were. Yes she lied and so they backtracked but only because they were paying her to be on the show and boost ratings, and believe it or not tv shows will do anything to make their guests not look stupid. But yeah, she has them.
