Last night Charlie Sheen and his ex wife Brooke Mueller played happy families for Entertainment Tonight with their twin two and a half year-old boys, Bob and Max. Brooke was high as a freaking kite and could barely speak while Charlie was maintainin’ and acting somewhat normal, for him. I always find it amusing when people are totally wasted on TV and everyone around them is acting like there’s nothing wrong and seems to be ignoring the problem. That’s the appeal of Kim Richards on RHOBH, and Brooke Mueller is basically the same – slurry, barely functioning, and struggling to explain basic concepts. It would have been funny if these clowns didn’t have two little boys with them who think of them as parents. I guess there are always nannies and adult film star mistresses to serve as sober caregivers.
Here’s what Brooke and Charlie said, but to get the full effect you should watch the video on ET’s website. (Their segment is at 12:00 into this video.) Notice that when Brooke calls Charlie a good dad, she immediately starts talking about how he just bought her a house with a tennis court. She’s been in rehab umpteen times and it obviously hasn’t worked for her. Charlie is still pretty wasted too.
Charlie: These guys [Bob and Max] have nothing to do with whatever. It’s not their fault but they do deserve the benefit of two parents in their life.
We’re friends and we’re co-parents and that’s what we decided is the most important thing.
Brooke: Charlie and I are so blessed and fortunate to have such amazing kids, and that’s really the glue that holds our friendship and relationship together…
He’s an amazing father. He’s amazing with the kids ’cause he teaches them sports, plays baseball with them. In fact he just bought me a house, well for the boys, and it has huge tennis courts with lights and everything.
There’s a selfless nature about her and that’s the only way you can really be available for your children is to be compassionate and be selfless.
They go on about co-parenting, but I’m really just reporting this so that I can share these screengrabs of Brooke’s crazy face. Charlie was wasted too, but he hid it better. I think that Brooke and Charlie get along when they’re both really high on whatever. Again it would be funny if they didn’t have kids. I hope that Charlie’s ex Denise Richards steps in and tries to be an influence in Max and Bob’s lives. They need more sober adults around. Also, those boys are adorable.
Charlie is currently working on the film A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III . Brooke recently sold the home that she used to share with Charlie in Los Feliz that was left to her in the divorce.

still amused how Denise was the crazy one in the divorce and everybody has certainly changed their tune about her.
I am thinking though maybe Charlie and Brooke should let the boy live with Denise and their half-sisters and get visitation rights. At least the twins will have a stable home.
This is just sad. Addiction is a heartbreaking cycle. I feel so bad for those beautiful boys!
Poor thing, she did the new girlfriend new wife thing to Denise Richards and really tried to make everyone hate Denise. Now she has to compete with her and their is no comparison. It’s good to see Charlie not being selfish with any of his kids. That is better than most men who get divorced that just bitch and complain about their ex’s. He doesn’t do that anymore(he doesn’t complain about Denise any more like he and Brook used to). She needs to get and stay sober for those kids, we don’t want mini Charlie’s running around Hollywood in 15 years. Otherwise shame on her for repeating the cycle.
To be fair, Brooke has those wild eyes even when she is sober. However, if you say she was slurring and incoherent, I am not surprised. So sad for those little boys.

i actually watched that last night. she was definitly on something i wondered if it was ‘legal’ like methadone but she was definitly slurring. Charlie looks like he put on some weight in his face, but still too UP to be normal.
I don’t wish Denise on anyone’s children. She wants to be Dina Lohan, I swear ta gawd. However, these two are a hot mess as well.
He looks like he’s back on drugs and not meds. Still thin, still tired looking. My father is bipolar and refuses to be medicated. I don’t let my children anywhere near him, even when he calls on the phone sounding “calm.” They are great actors and love to talk about themselves. Manipulating other people into believing their lies feels beyond euphoric. They crave that feeling of control over people, and the attention they receive for “proving” to others that nothing is wrong.
It’s so sick and I feel so badly for all his children. Bipolars have a very hard time truly caring for others without getting something in return. They fail to care for and control themselves.
I’m actually surprised by how healthy and NORMAL Charlie looked. I hope he really is as clean as he seems. Brooke, on the other hand… she was definitely slurring, and I would pin her as a pill-popper. IMO, though, the best part of this story was hearing about Martin Sheen “stealing” their babies — Granddaddy Sheen is so cute!
Why is it that people with the most money are so F_____ Up. For God sake do they not know what to do with all that money, like travel and enjoy there lives, NO they take drugs and distroy everything around them, themselves, there kids, everything !!!!! I rather be poor and happy then rich and live like these people !!!!
Brooke has a serious case of crazy eyes going on. Those kids would benefit from having Denise Richards check up on them and let the boys stay with their sisters sometimes.

I just re-watched the ET these two did over two years ago, where they “introduced the world to the twins.” Brooke is slurring in this one, too, as she discusses the problems her newborn sons are experiencing. I have a 2.5 year-old little boy, and I know how much effort and energy it takes to be the mom I want to be. So I feel really sad for these two sweet boys. Do they even stand a chance with parents who will go on TV fried out of their skulls? Ugh. I hate Charlie Sheen. He is despicable. The ex-wife would be just as bad if she were an overpaid, entitled, drugged up star. Instead she just seems pathetic. That comment about how Charlie bought her–err, I mean, the boys–a new house. Gross.

Brooke never seems to have ever been truly sober. And she seems to have had a decent stable home life growing up. What the hell happen to her?

I noticed this last night when I watched this clip. Brooke looks to be out of her mind! I can’t even believe that they did this for Entertainment Tonight. As for Charlie…I cna’t tell with him, but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least to hear that he was on something during this interview.
There is no way sobriety is in any way a part of their lives..unfortunately the children have no say so.however authority does and somewhere in the california legal system that protect children are not doing there job… But hey!! Being rich and famous the laws do not apply.. Great justice …
I am ashamed to admit that I saw a few episodes of that Paris Hilton show (reaffirmed that she’s a huge shallow bitch) anyway what I got from that was that Brooke is a sad damaged person and still very much in love with Charlie. What’s even worse is that Charlie seems to enable her (control maybe?).

I’m pretty sure I remember CPS doing a welfare check maybe a year ago, when they were both totally out of it. They decided that because her parents were involved, the kids should stay where they were. So sad. If these were “ordinary” parents, those kids would have, and should have, been taken away! Clearly they both need serious help!

I would say they should apologize for acting as though Denise was lying about what poor shape Charlie was in and what a severe addict he was and is. He’s a fantastic actor, which is how he was able to fool people into thinking he was just a fun degenerate for so long. Denise may not be the perfect person, but she not a falling down drug addict who can barely raise the children she chose to bring into this world.
