I admit, I LOVED watching the royal wedding last year, and was one of many who were in awe of that amazing dress. It was a true contemporary fairy tale to make you go all silly.
And Prince Harry… I wanted to pinch his ass because he was acting so damn cute and having fun during the whole hoopla.

This links page makes me feel heartless. I never cared about the royal wedding. I thought all the hype surrounding it was ridiculous. But I didn’t even watch it so maybe I missed out on something.
I didn’t watch it either. The only coverge I saw (ie pictures) were on this site and Dlisted. Couldn’t give a toss about an anniversary.

The more I see the wedding dress, the more it looks like a cheap Grace Kelly knock-off. What did the Queen say? “Hideous.”
The maid of honor dress is nice.
Also, one year? Big whoops. She was at his beck and call for 9 times that amount before the wedding. Maybe when then make it to 10 years, it will even out somewhat (10 years of privilege for 10 years of waiting). After the 10-year mark, it’s all gravy for her.

benny: I agree. The dress was nicely executed but blah in style. Like the bride. I’ve seen that dress in bride magazine adds for about 20 years now. It was nothing new except for the sleeves. Most wedding dresses today are strapless.

Royalty doesn’t allow strapless, backless, or even open toe shoes. Probably not bra-less either.
I like the dress. I liked it even more last year when I first saw it. Looking at it again a year later, it does look a bit boring just like most of Kate’s outfits, but it is still classic. I agree that if you took away the lace sleeves (which is what I liked most about the dress) it looks like a typical wedding dress. I’ve always disliked the strapless look so I like that because of this dress more brides are considering wearing sleeves again. I have seen knockoffs and dresses that took Kate’s dress as inspiration that look much better and modern for only several thousand dollars.
I am looking forward to the movie “Bernie”. I am thrilled that the review is good for it. I was a little concerned when I knew Jack Black was cast as “Bernie”.
It was a heck of a twisted murder that happen in East Texas. And the fact that no one was sad, about the murder of the Mrs. Nugent, makes it all the better and creepy!
Pippa hasn’t look as good as she did that day since. Not even close.

So agree @bluhare. She got the better dress of the two. I guess their mother felt that the wedding would be a good occasion to spotlight Pippa so that she could get a good catch as well. I wonder how Kate felt about Pippa getting so much attention on Kate’s wedding day when she should have been the focus.

That picture of Zooey was interesting. She really does have a whole different look without makeup. I think it’s a good thing because it means she doesn’t naturally look like a little girl. Her current hipster girl look is cute, but it’s going to get old, when, well she gets old.

I still like the dress but I think that the veil/hair combo and over the top make up was a huge fail. She would have done SO MUCH better with an updo and professional makeup job.

She certainly does look older and pretty much unrecognizable. Hope she pays her makeup person well since they create her character with makeup.
I can’t stand it when people say this is a fairytale. Its far from a fairytale. They met at college! A lot of people meet their spouses at college. And I don’t think Cinderella shacked up with Prince Charming before they wed. This is way far from a fairy tale.
A fairy tale would be like a modern day version of Darcy and Elizabeth. This was a decade long scheme on the part of a family who were already millionaires but wanted the fame and status of being part of the British aristocracy. I see it as more of a good investment on the part of mama Middleton and Kate for spending probably millions of their own money to send her to the right gap year programs, schools, and paying for her to vacation and live near William while she did little to nothing for 9 years.
