What with the Canadian holiday and the TomKat-divorce-gossip-vacuum, there aren’t a lot of stories today, so I thought you might enjoy some photos from Paris Fashion Week. A surprising amount of A-list and B-list people came to Paris for the Versace Fall/Winter (or the Spring/Summer 2013, different people are labeling it differently) event yesterday, and these are some of the selected pics that I enjoyed. Just assume that everyone is wearing Versace.
I love Pierce Brosnan. He’s still so handsome!
Jessica Alba in perforated black leather. She looks pretty, but I feel like something is “off”. What is it?
Mila Jovovich has a nice figure, but that dress does her no favors.
Love Elizabeth Banks. Love everything about her.
Titsy McGinge rides again. With Christina, it’s all about proportions, angles and cuts. This is just unflattering on her.
I barely recognized Matthew Morrison without his cherubic curls. He definitely looks like he’s trying to butch it up. Does it work?
Lea Michele has a boyfriend. She wants you to know that. Cory looks nice here, but he’s just incidental to Lea’s pose-harding.

I’ve always had the biggest girl crush on Mila Jovovich, and have always thought she is an underrated actress, not to mention gorgeous!
Ya and busted, Christina Hendricks looks pretty awful here, but I think she is mostly hype anyways.

I am all for large chested women ( I am one) but Hendricks makes it look painful. Jessica Alba always looks incredibly beautiful. The girl in white with Matthew Morrison from Glee is beautiful! what great skin she has! as always Lea Michele thinks that she is the reincarnation of Marilyn Monroe. She tries so hard in every picture, always the “poser”

I have bunions that look like that. It’s genetic. They never stop me from wearing what I feel like wearing. So, I’m sympathetic, but I’m not a celeb, and now that you’ve pointed out her toes it actually distracts from her boobs. Wear closed toes to events Christina.

I feel your pain. I have bunions too, and I hate them. In the warm weather they swell and are painful. My insurance would cover having them removed, but I heard the recovery time is long. I am self-conscious about my feet and don’t wear open-toed shoes.

@ mst – it generally takes about a year to recover from foot surgery. It’s surprisingly log and painful process but it’s worth it at the end.

This is why they are stars – they wear shoes that are too big, and they pose and look pretty. I wear shoes that are too big, and the shoe falls off when I’m walking and I faceplant. (Imagine the photo op!)
But seriously, how do they keep those shoes on? Must have some seriously strong toes.

What I immediately notice is that all of the girls (but Christina) are wearing great vintage inspired heels.
The skinny heel with the pointy toes! They are so flattering to the leg and foot.
Not one pair of those gawd awful chunky platforms in sight! Or any of those equally gawd awful toe-less booties! YEA!
I suspect the thing off with Alba’s face. Is that they caught her in a awkward moment with her mouth. Still a pretty girl.
And I am really starting to appreciate all the pose harding these girls do.
It just gives me the giggles, to see them desperate to do their own version of “Blue Steel”.

I agree, if you saw Christina in the Pigly Wigly like that would you think, oh my a beautiful actress. She always looks greasy and squeezed into her clothes, I like that she gets attention and isn’t a size zero, but there are other big, beautiful woman that could show her a thing or two!

Let’s take it from the top on Christina. Why does her hair look like a wig half the time? This is one of those times. The way her hair is “fixed” makes her forehead look huge. Her hair also looks greasy and lank on the top. Not good! I do love her pale skin. The black blazer with the dress looks awful, like she threw it on because she just gave up. I can’t even assess the shoees because her feet hurt me so badly. She can be really beautiful or really rough. This is really rough

Christina dresses in stuff that would suit a size 2 not a size 10. She doesn’t know her body, I think to her as long as her boobs are a chin rest she’s set to go. Frankly, LM’s open ambition is something I can respect. She’s workin it hard and playing to win. Go. Girl. If she’s a beyotch in person… so what. If I didn’t know better I’d think Christina had a toddler at home. She does tend to have that “I didn’t have time to make the effort.” look. I’ll admit, I’m inclined to like her because I love Joan on MM. And nothing against E.Banks. I don’t like or dislike her, but I fail to see what shes “doing” here other than being skinny and blonde and well styled- something ANYONE can do after a successful movie or two. Actually, it’s to be expected.

I think Hendricks always looks great on Mad Men. Whenever I see her out in public though, I’m disappointed by how ill fitting her clothing always looks and underwhelmed by her hair. I think she has a beautiful face. I love her porcelain skin but her hair usually looks limp and shapeless. I do love the red hair color on her. The massive boobs always look like they are trying to escape from whatever she’s wearing.
I’m laughing at the remarks about most of the women in these pictures wearing shoes that look too big for them. I noticed that right away too! HA!

I just have never understood Christina Hendricks’ appeal apart from the huge boobs (which I’m not into anyway). Her face and hair always look greasy and unwashed, she can’t dress herself in flattering clothing, she’s always busting out and it just looks painful, she poses weirdly, and her feet are terrifying me in this picture!

Gah, I love Christina but she makes it so hard! If I had her figure and access to her clothes Id say to hell with everyone complaining about me showing off my boobs; I would NOT have worn that champagne-colored dress with strappy heels only to cover it all up with a (manly looking) dinner jacket. And if I were her, Id just pick up my hair in a chignon. Its certainly flattering and easier to camouflage unwashed hair. I used to have bottle red hair and you cant wash it often like you would with blonde or brunette hair.

Christina Hendricks need to do only one thing to make herself look soooo much better: stop wearing push-up bras and tight tops that push her big boobies up to her neck. It looks freakish and detracts attention away from the rest of her appearance. Tailored clothes that fit will flatter any figure.

I wish Christina would out those away and show off some different curves for once. I like the length of mila’s dress because it showed of her legs, but the dress really shows what a boyish figure she has. I like Elizabeth’s dress as far as style, but maybe it would look better fitted around her legs. Her legs look kind of stickish here. Also are her shoes to big width wise? I like alba best of all actually. The hair, the dress, the shoes. Everything seems to work. Also may I mention M.I.A.min the back ground? I love her, just not her sense of style.
