Britney Spears’ birthday performances on Good Morning America

Britney Spears did her arm moves and lip sync routine on Good Morning America to celebrate her birthday and CD release this morning. She did her first performance of “Circus” in tight black pants and an ab-baring half top. The choreography for “Circus” was better than we’ve seen from Britney in her overseas “Womanizer” performances. She really brought it for “Circus,” although I would have liked to have heard her actually sing.

Wearing high waisted short shorts, black shiny boots and a half sweater, Britney’s “Womanizer” performance was more of the same from the pop princess. She seemed more sure of herself, though, and looks like she’s getting back into the groove of performing.

Taped birthday greetings were played for Britney from celebrities like Hugh Jackman, Reese Witherspoon, Taylor Swift and Nicolette Sheridan and a tiered circus-themed cake was brought out.

Britney’s tour dates for 2009 were announced today. She will start performing in March in New Orleans and has 20 dates planned throughout the US.

Happy Birthday Britney.

Like any of those people actually give a shyte about her birthday. Donate to my favorite charity and I’ll record a birthday greeting, was probably the deal those people received.

I hope she’s able to loosen up with her dance moves eventually. She was always a knock-out in the dance department. Maybe in time…

I thought she performed beautifully on TV this morning and she looks healthy and happy. Her children were in the front row and they are adorable. All the best to Britney.

Pathetic. Hugh “no connection whatsoever” Jackman?? Reese “whoever roped her into this” Witherspoon?? Some other starlet I don’t even know? The producers of the show must’ve been high or something. All in all? Pathetic. Pathetic!

Supposedly there is a different choreographer for the tour..maybe more dancing will come with that. Though, at over $300 per sale (you have to purchase 2) not too many people will get to experience it.

i thought she would have better dance moves too. overall she did ok. i’m not a britney fan but as always americans build you up only to tear you down and spit in your face at your lowest point. i hope she sells lots of records so she can tell all the haters, to kiss her a$$.

she looked great, physically, but the dance moves were amateurish at best. weird coming from a person whose foundation was dance. seriously, no one can ever claim this girl was much of a singer but dance, she could do, at least before the dramaz. I think she needs to convalesce for another year or so. shes just a novelty at this point anyway, everyone’s just watching to see when she’s gonna seriously f.*c.k up.

As if she eats cake anymore. Abs like that? Please!

I know very few people who’d be willing to perform “happy birthday” completely solo without giggling nervously or making awkward eye contact with others in the room. For some reason, “happy birthday” is THE most awkward song ever. I felt awkward just listening to Jackman. Although, I guess when you’re at the point of being able to peer suavely at the camera without a healthy dose of irony, you can do anything. And did anybody else catch him muttering, “I know we never met but I still love you.”

How much like Paris Hilton did she sound when she said, “Er… yes, in America, yes”?

She looks great, she still brings the dance for someone who suffered a knee injury and major surgery, and I’m going to see her in concert.

Was that a performance? Sasha Fierce (Beyonce) is baddest pop star, today, when it comes to dancing and performing live. Hang it up, Britney. You have been gone too long! Concentrate on your boys and be a good mother. :|

damn, she looks good… this girl is smart… she was able to basically take a nice long break from her all the pressures in her life, all the while still keeping us interested in her… then put herself together and make a comeback. i’m actually expecting her to make a pretty big comeback soon cuz she’s more interesting than ever now…

I was looking for some Trainwreck Britney videos on Youtube and came across this from the Ellen show, 2006 I think.

I was told by several people that watched the Britany Spears show in which she answers questions about her life, that it was filled with script-like responses…the spin doctors are obviously working overtime to resurrect her career… some audiences are very gullible…publicity of any kind is like oxygen to Britney, their indifference is what she fears…her children will always run a long last to her career…this woman is extremely self absorbed

Again I think there was poor stage choreography/design there. Brit looks better with a dance troop in full swing behind her.

I did watch the Brit show and I tell ya- the kid is totally fragile. She had a bunch of canned responses that it sounds like she hopes to actually feel one day, but totally contradicted herself through out the whole thing.
I hope she can come back because it was sure clear that she doesn’t know who she is unless she’s in hot-pants doing stripper moves for thousands of people.
She said that dancing was her therapy, and after viewing this, therapy ain’t going so hot…..yikes….don’t be afraid of seeing a shrink Brit.. your life is totally bananas!

I’m not a huge fan of Britney Spears’ music, but I hope her records sell millions because I truly think her heart’s in all the right places over the past several months.

Though I have to mention, that last year, the media was going after Britney Spears with torches and pitch forks and now they’re being awfully, ridiculously friendly toward her. It comes across as very fake.

Kind of makes you wonder about fame.

My boyfriend, who is a NYC DJ, told me that he dreams about Britney Spears at night. I’ve had an inferiority complex ever since and think I need to break up with him because of it. Afterall, how can I compete with that? At least he could have kept it to himself. I have to hand it to her for this incedible comeback. It has given me incentive that I can recreate myself too.

Britney looks great on this performance, as she’s in a sexier shape than she was during the recent MTV VMA performance. It was the star’s first comeback T.V performance. I don’t know why she isn’t dancing more, I saw the for the record and know she can still dance.

The performance was ok, Britney is looking hot again. But, the circus theme was lame. Christina did it better, and 2 years ago. I think Britney watched her concert video and decided to copy it. But, that’s my opinion..
