Us Weekly: Selma Blair broke up with her baby-daddy, Jason Bleick

Here’s your first big shock: Selma Blair is 40 YEARS OLD. I know, right? Vampire! Now for your second big shock: Us Weekly claims that Selma and her baby-daddy are over. Sad, right? Selma and Jason Bleick have apparently called it quits just 14 months after welcoming their son Arthur (he was born July 2011). I’ve always liked Selma, and I grew to like her even more when she kept it real and dropped some hard post-baby truth-bombs. So why would anyone get tired of Selma? She’s fabulous!

Selma Blair is single again. The Anger Management actress, 40, has quietly parted ways with fashion designer boyfriend Jason Bleick, 42, whom she began dating in 2010.

“They were fighting nonstop,” says a source of the duo, parents to 14-month-old Arthur.

Blair and the baby have now moved into a temporary rental in L.A.’s Venice, according to an insider, but Bleick did get some quality time with his son September 8: “Jason met Selma at a restaurant, then took Arthur for a walk by the beach.”

[From Us Weekly]

Before this relationship with Bleick, Selma was married to Ahmet Zappa (son of Frank Zappa) from 2004-06. She’s not really an “industry dater” in that she has some long history of getting with dudes with their own celebrity profiles or anything. I think she’s probably more of a misfit, more of unconventional bird than many of us realize. Anyway, I hope Selma is doing okay and I hope she get some work.

she’s on Anger Management with Charlie Sheen. She’s a regular. She plays his therapist. Is that what you mean by some work?

The first years with a first baby are a rough deal. I think my husband and I have ‘almost split up’ three times since Rowan was born a few years ago. Somewhere after her second birthday, though, we talked to each other about understanding we were in it together, not to be against the other and to actually help the other see how to help, etc. Relationships don’t just work. They require constant vigilance. I’m surprised anyone makes it at all in Hollyweird.

Selma has always seemed uninteresting to me. Nothing about her sticks out. I guess this is a good thing because she can be more versatile as an actress.

That’s a shame. Wonder if it was the stress of a new baby? Sad for their family.
She seems to work pretty steadily, but not as high profile films as she once did.

SHE’S 40 YEARS OLD?!?!? Are you kidding? That can’t be right….I would have guessed *MAYBE* 35. Wow…

What an adorable baby. Sad to hear that they couldn’t make their relationship work but both seem determined to create a healthy and loving environment for their son separately. I wish them the best. Selma looks amazing. She’s really 40? She could seriously pass for someone in her 20s! She lucked out with the good genes.

    No opinion.
    I like all babies.

Gad their little boy is gorge. He has the same sparkling blue eyes of his father.

Yeah, I have a soft spot too for Selma. Looks like she has stayed outta the sun and is now reaping the benefit now at 40.

I’ve always liked Selma and thought she was a very underrated actress. Their son is adorable.

I think she likes keeping a low profile.
