Julianna Margulies was one of my favorites last night, although I’m not sure these photos show exactly how pretty this Giambattista Valli dress was. What I like about Julianna is, for the most part, she dresses her age, she knows what looks good on her body, and she usually puts in the effort. Now, sometimes it falls flat, but this was not one of those times. The fabric was so beautiful, and it just popped on a pale brunette like Julianna. I was so crazy about her (IMO) too-flat hairstyle or what I think is some Botoxing, but still… she was one of my faves.
Here’s Julianna’s Good Wife costar, and one of my favorite people, Archie Panjabi. The way Archie is styled on the show, she always looks so sexy and badass, so much leather and great boots and her hair is always pulled back. When her hair is down, I think she looks “more Indian” if that’s not awkward phrasing. Does it make a difference if I’m Indian-American? She looks beautiful in Randi Rahm gown, but I would like to see her hair back.
Kat Dennings in J.Mendel… this was a beautiful color on her, and it’s a really pretty dress overall. But GOOD LORD this girl’s got an enormous rack. I was genuinely concerned that she was going to fall out of that strapless gown. STRAPS. She needs straps.

The best look out of the 3 is Kat Dennings. And is it me or do her boobs look slightly smaller than usual?
Julianna’s dress looks like a carpet, and her looks to severely pulled back. I don’t like Archie’s dress either.

I thought Julianna’s makeup was to severe and aged her and she shouldn’t pull her hair back. Love Kat’s dress she looks like she’s lost weight which could explain the smaller boobs.

Julianna looks like a wood nymph. I like the pockets in the dress, though. Her hair looks like Eddie Munster’s. And I even like her. Both others have serious boob issues; the first, pull up your dress or get a bigger size. The second, whoa baby, those suckers are gonna blow!

Kat’s breasts look normal – normal large breasts… Christina seems hell bent on pushing them up so they look ridiculous and fake. They shouldn’t have that top circle line on them if they’re real, Christina!

Bwahaha. I agree. Although I have to feel a little bad for Christina. I’ve never seen a dress that she actually looks good in. She’s a very pretty girl and although it’s good that she’s confidant about her body type, it just can’t be easy to find clothes that fit.

I have to say my daughter (14) was icked out by the boobs on display parade.

Am I wrong in thing that Amy Poelher and Tina Fey looked amazing? I thought Tina was almost the best of the night, lovely color and cut and styling AND a normal face.

Julianna’s dress is lovely. She should have put a little more effort into her hair. It looks like she just got out of the shower and didn’t know what to do with it so pulled it back ah-la Stephanie Plum.

Julianna is great but is it just me or is her face ugly in a pretty way or beautiful in a strangely ugly way or what? She is like the female Benicio del toro in a way.
I don’t think the dress fabric translated well on camera. I am sure in person it is stunning but on camera it kinda looked like upholstery.
Also I think her hair, Januay’s too severe. Not flattering! A little softness please

I actually like Julianna’s dress too. I am a sucker for a dress with pockets. However, the print is a bit much for a floor length. I think it would look cute as a shorter length dress, though then it might not be red carpet appropriate. Julianna’s makeup and hair are not doing her any favors though , which is a shame because she is so pretty.
Archie looks gorgeous, but I am not a fan of that dress or the color.

Totally agreed! The last time I wore satin was in the late 80′s at my prom.
I kinda thought except for a very few ladies that this was a fashion crapfest. AND makeup, style and botox fest.

Agreed. I haven’t seen one dress so far that I LOVE, which is a first for me.
Oktoberfest is the fest to beat all fests. In fact, they should make the Emmies Oktober-fest themed. Now THAT would be much more fun to watch.

I like it. Emmy’s Oktoberfest! They could all have huge mugs of beer, do the chicken dance, eat bratwursts and have log sawing competitions.

Everybody who wore a strapless dress looked like they were struggling to stay in it! Hate it! Would be soooo much prettier if the designers would cut the dresses a bit higher.

Julianna needs to start putting spf on her chest area or she is going to get worse sun damage. Thats a lesson for anyone who uses spf for their face to always use it on your neck and decolletage.

Julianna’s dress looks better here than it did live last night, but I’m still not a big fan. It’s just too much, and I hate the center seam all the way down. Does she have a boob job, by the way? In the 2nd pic, it really seems like implants.
Love the color of Archie’s dress, but it’s a little too much fabric – it seems like it’s overwhelming her.

Why with the pockets? This dress is confusing enough with the froo-froo upholstery fabric.
Guarantee Kat Dennings will look gorg next year after having to look back at the slumped over mess this year.

I love Archie Panjabi! So excited to see something about her. I like The Good Wife, but would rather watch a spin-off about Kalinda. But I’ve also liked everything I’ve seen her in. I hope you do some more posts just about her! I read an interview with her once and she sounds like a neat person, too.

Archie’s dress was nice, but a little boring. I hated Julianna’s at first, but the close up of the fabric isn’t bad – yet there’s just way too MUCH. Don’t like it.
Kat’s dress is pretty, but she needs more material up top. I don’t know how she walked around like that, I’d be constantly terrified of everything falling out.

I tend to think if you’re gonna go with a print you should make sure the fabric is light otherwise you get that upholstery effect Julianna is sporting here.

Julianna’s best look is with her hair down and sexy, which gives her a smoldering appeal, but tied back flat is not her best. I think the strapless dresses are not for everyone, although everyone seems to want to wear them lol…they just aren’t flattering on every woman.
