Devastating. What a greedy sellout. Star Wars spin off is one thing. Heck, Disney probably could make a better SW film than Lucas can any more, his prequels were terrible. But for the love of all that is good in the universe, WHY must they screw around with the storyline & characters from the original trilogy?! Leave well enough alone! The SW trilogy is perfect the way it is. It does NOTneed any sequels >:(

Hahaha, I saw that awful film once in the cinema when it first came out and that is the only bit I remember, probably because it managed to out crap itself and be the most ridiculous moment in a ridiculous movie…. and now, just when I thought it was safe to go back in the cinema I hear a 7th one is on the works *sigh*

Those Miley pictures must be from last year, right? Her hair is longish/brown and in her “trademark” high bun. Unless she dyed her hair brown and got extensions?

      LMAO! So funny!

My response to the post about Hurricane Sally was going to be “I wonder what stupid excuse/reason she’s going to have for posting such an obviously stupid, braindead tweet?” Turns out that the excuse is that she was hacked.

What a total and utter dipshit she is!

I haven’t watched Faux News in a long time but that Gov. Christie clip was great. That’s a great example of what this country is capable of (even though we don’t see it often). Regardless of political affiliation, people can put aside difference and simply say thanks for good work.

Celebitchy, I love you and I love NASCAR, so while I don’t mind seeing ads for Homestead coming up in a few weeks, I do mind seeing that doosh Tony Stewrat(yes I meant StewRat). I hate him. He is an asshole who stole my drivers trophy last year and I don’t like being reminded about it. Horrible experience. Mmmkay. Thanks! :)

Smart move by George. He ‘s lost the desire to do more Star Wars films so he offloaded the franchise for a cool four billion. Well done.

I’m a BIG Star Wars fan, soI’m scared, but also a little curious. Lucas had originally planned to do eps 7, 8 & 9, so I’m wondering how much of his original story ideas they’re planning to use?

Surely they can’t be any worse than the prequels? I didn’t mind episode 3, but 1 & 2 were terrible! They only good thing about them was Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi!

I hope they stop after another three movies though. We don’t need any more retouched versions, or special editions, or god forbid reboots or crossovers with other Disney movies!

I felt a great disturbance in The Force at this announcement. Being a die-hard fan since I was SEVEN YEARS OLD I can only say wholeheartedly “WTF”.

George Lucas what the hell have you unleashed on us.

Lucas is a member of the Giving Pledge,a philanthropic initiative started by the business mogul and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, aims to get the super rich to pledge their fortunes early in their lives, so that they can have more control of how it’s spent. He said by selling ILM, he will be able to give much bigger donations toward education (he’s already given single donations up to 175 million, and that’s before the selling of his company). I rather have more Star Wars than less, I know nothing compares to the original 3 movies, but as long as ppl enjoy them, thats all that matters, and I love seeing the love of SW being passed on generation to generation.

It is so unfair that they kept bashing the prequels. I love the prequels more than the sequels. I can watch the prequels over and over again without getting tired. The prequels made tons of money too. What is this a conspiracy? Guys be kind to George. Without him we don’t have Star Wars remember?

My husband is a member of the 501st so he’s a bit concerned about that with this buyout. He was also hoping they would do the Zahn series, and he was disappointed when Disney said they are doing an original story. Other than that, it has no effect on me…not a Star Wars fan. :D

I do hope the 501st/Rebel Legion will remain as it is or get even better. They do amazing work (all volunteer and pricey out of pocket expenses) and raise A LOT of money for charities every year both on a local and nation-wide scale.

There was already going to be a Star Wars 7, 8, and 9 way before Disney bought it. From what I remember reading when they first talked about it was that the movies were supposed to follow the books in the way of the movies following the children of our favorite protagonists.
