Patrick Swayze’s widow hates Kirstie Alley, who claims he begged her to marry him

The National Enquirer has a new article this week that’s basically a no-brainer. Apparently Patrick Swayze’s widow, Lisa Niemi, despises Kirstie Alley. Alley recently claimed in her new book, and publicity tour, that Patrick was in love with her in 1985 when they were both married to other people and were co-stars on a TV movie called “North and South.” In Kirstie’s Xenu-addled mind, Patrick was madly in love with her, even though he turned her down cold for sex when they were both drunk, telling her “you’re drunk,” “you don’t really want to do it,” and “you’re not that kind of girl.” It sounds more like an infatuation on Kirstie’s part than a love affair, but Kirstie takes it further and claims in her book that Patrick was constantly asking her to divorce her then-husband and run away with him. That’s the exact same thing that she claimed about John Travolta – that nothing happened between them but she wanted to run away with him. She’s got some serious problems, and it gets worse as we’ll get to in a moment.

Here’s part of the Enquirer’s account about Lisa’s response to Kirstie, with more in their current issue with Kirstie on the cover:

Heartbroken Lisa Niemi feels so betrayed by her once-close pal that sources say she wanted to scream at Kirstie: “I hate you! Patrick never loved you! How could you do this to me?”

Kirstie dropped the bombshell just as Lisa was starting to rebuild her life. She recently began dating Florida jeweler Albert DePrisco after losing her husband of 34 years to pancreatic cancer at age 57 in 2009.

“Lisa has so many happy memories of her marriage to Patrick,” said the source. “Now, Kirstie has sullied those memories by trying to cash in on her friendship with him…”

In her new memoir… [Kirstie] writes that she and [Patrick] tried to “avoid going to that road,” but couldn’t help falling in love.

“He exuded that anything was possible,” Kirstie writes. “The emotions and dialogue escalated daily. One night, toward the end of the shoot, I got fairly drunk, dirty-danced for hours, and then succumbed. We made out with each other.”

While the two weren’t sexually intimate, Kirstie writes that Patrick “asked me one last time to divorce my husband and make a new life with him. He was very persuasive. The decision of whether to run off with him was torturous.”

Ultimately, Kirstie… said she turned Patrick down after confession her forbidden love to her father and him telling her: “You’re married. Knock if off.”

[From The National Enquirer, print edition, November 26, 2012]

So she propositioned Patrick for sex and he turned her down, but she still took his suggestion that they run off together seriously, and no amount of ensuing years have helped her realize that he was just being flirty. The Enquirer has yet another article that analyzes her ridiculous book. Apparently Kirstie has a pattern of claiming men are in love with her, even though they’re just platonic friends and she’s never slept with them. She also claims that Woody Harrelson tried to have sex with her back when they were filming Cheers in the late 80s and early 90s, but that she turned him down. Her book has a lot of these type of “it could have been stories” with no actual sex.

In her explosive book, Kirstie says both Swayze and Travolta begged her to run off with them and describes them as the great loves of her life…

But an insider revealed: “Kirstie says she never consummated her feelings for either of them. In fact, Swayze stopped her when she threw herself at him.

“Although she also says she was tempted to have an affair with her ‘Cheers’ co-star Woody Harrelson, she never did. She even claims a cougar relationship with her ‘Dancing with the Stars’ partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, but they were never lovers either.”

In her book, Kirstie says Woody constantly pestered her for sex, and one night while staying at her house with a girlfriend, he knocked on her door at midnight, but Kirstie says she turned him down “half wishing I wasn’t married that night and would band her brains out.”

And about her cougar relationship with Maksim, she writes that she’d “catch him staring at me in a sort of awe” and “it shocked me that I ended up loving him to the degree that I did.”

“It’s genuinely bizarre, Kirstie has written a kiss-and-tell book primarily about the famous men in her life – and yet there’s very little kissing or telling with any of them,” said the insider.

[From The National Enquirer, print edition, November 26, 2012]

I don’t know what’s more pathetic, the fact that Kirstie thought that all these men were in love with her, or the fact that she believes her own delusions and hype so much that she wrote a book about it and shared it with the world. Probably the latter. Those are some serious daydreams. Maksim started at her in awe. He was her damn dance partner, but not anymore. Spoiler – Kirstie was voted off DWTS All Stars earlier this week. See ya!

These dudes are totally in love with Kirstie too, right?

Hahahaha this made me laugh. Um if I could have sex with someone and the timing was off, I’d find the time to do it. Please, she was drunk and coked up during those years her memory is hazy.

Just hate it when somone says something like that about a deceased person who is not here to defend himself or his wife. TRASHY Kirstie,no one believes you and if it were true, how trashy to hurt his family like that

I could not agree with you more Julie. I am a widow myself. I can only imagine what his poor wife must be feeling. I used to love Kirstie and thought she was a beauty, but know she is just shameful. I pray God forgives her for the hurt she caused to a family, whether she is telling the truth or not , it is still so wrong what she has done. !!!!

So true! She was a known coke head in the 80′s. Also, this line made me go WTF…Ultimately, Kirstie… said she turned Patrick down after confession her forbidden love to her father and him telling her: “You’re married. Knock if off.

Forbidden love to her father? What? Was she in some kind of incesteous relationship with her dad?

Victoria1, I wish this evoked the same feeling of amusement for me.

Extreme dislike, loathing and a ton of anger is all I feel when I see posts regarding this delusional, hot mess of a human being. I am enraged about the fact that anyone would even consider publishing Kirstie’s tell-all, with fact checking seemingly abandoned before the publication of this hurtful joke of an autobiography.

All I can think about is how awful, hurtful and devastating this book must be to Lisa Niemi. And how embarrassing for Parker Stevenson, Woody Harrelson and Maxim Chernovsky?! I am appalled on Lisa Niemi’s behalf that someone could do something so cruel to her. Talk about tarnishing someone’s memory!

What a whack-job. Please, please, Kirstie…take your undeserved, way more than 15 minutes of fame, STFU and check into some Hollywood home for fat, delusional actresses. BLECHHH.

wow, her teeth look jacked in that photo.. so basically, if a guy talks to her then obviously they’re in love with her-because she’s so delusionally fantastic.. you know, she’s a horse’s ass..

and if I were Ted Danson I’d be offended cause I wasn’t name checked in the book..

I don’t know if anyone else remembers the epic divorce she and Parker had, but it’s worth going back and reading about. Kirstie has always been a vapid narcissist. I find it glorious someone could be this clueless. She makes for great sound bytes in a Fox News “don’t believe anything you hear here” way.

Let’s not forget that the Kirstie’s husband at the time of North & South (Book II anyway, since there were two North & South miniseries starring Kirstie, Patrick and many many others) was her other co-star, Parker Stevenson.

I know people like this, both men and women. They think that if you pay them any attention at all then you must be in love with them. I hug people and laugh easily, but i’m happily married. Several men I have known think that because I give them a polite hug or peck on the cheek while saying hello I am in love with them. It’s actually insulting to me. I’m like “get over yourself! I was just being friendly!”

    • Relli says:

I am the same way and your right so many people mistake outgoing personalities as something more.

But i have a (former)female friend who take this to the whole next level. She is the sort who believes even her exes aren’t over her which, is both sad and hilarious at the same time. FOR YEARS i tried to convince her that a certain ex was not still in LOVE with her (because I knew for a fact he wasn’t, so many drunk discussions on the topic). But I would do the friend thing and listen but always try to guide her away from these thoughts with encouraging words to focus on the relationship in front of her, the guy she had ended that first relationship to be with. For awhile it worked but then we got in a huge fight and didn’t talk for years and you know what happened when I ran into her a few years later she had quite the story to tell…..

She reconnected with guy number 1 on Facebook after deciding that her relationship with guy number 2 wasn’t what she wanted after all (after 9 years). So for awhile they go back and forth with emails, building up to texts and eventually a phone call in which she professes her (undying) love for him. There is silence for few minutes and then he tells her how she broke his heart, how at the time it was the worst thing he could have imagined happening to him, that he truly did love her. But that it ultimately was the kick in the booty that he needed and how those events pushed him positively to seek out the life he has had since they broke up (he has become pretty successful). That even though he has fond memories of her and their short relationship (it was really less than 6 months) that he has moved on so should she.

After that he UN-friended her, blocked her calls and stopped responding to her texts. She was really sad but i think she ultimately realized what i had been trying to kindly tell her years.

North & South was massive in Australia too. Team Swayze. Team everyone but Kirstie.

People who think others are “in love” with them (when they’re clearly not) probably have narcissistic personality disorders. I don’t think Kirstie is well. She really needs to.shut.up.now. Doesn’t seem happy with her lot in life at all.

So bizarre. I had just read in People her bragging that Patrick was begging her to leave her husband and make a life with Patrick. And that she turned him down because she saw an inability for him to be happy. What a disgusting human being just to sell a few books. I don’t even believe it in the context she’s putting it. Lisa Niemi doesn’t deserve such disrespect.

Saying Maksim was staring at her in awe? Oh, man, she’s delusional. He was probably staring at her thinking, Dear God, don’t make me do another lift. She’s 60 and heavy and usually looks sloppy. He is in amazing shape and has his pick of hot young women.

It’s bad enough to be this delusional in private but to air it out publicly is just really sad and pathetic.

Maksim is in awe of himself, she probably thought he was looking at her but was actually looking past her at the mirror. Plus he’s ‘with’ one of the other pros.

Poor Lisa Niemi – to have this crap piled on. At least she’s rid of her as a ‘friend’. Kirstie sounds like the type you just don’t need.

Don’t know if I believe this since it came from TNE. But even if so, I don’t blame Lisa for being angry. What Kirstie said was way out of line. I doubt Swayze liked her, but even if he did, after his passing is NOT the time for Alley to ‘tell all’. What she did was cruel, selfish and heartless. Its bad enough saying that a married man liked you when he is still alive and married (Travolta), but to make those statements about a man who is not here to reply and his widow has to hear that? Mrs Swayze should really kick Alley’s ass for that.

I have to say, having read one of her past books (something about being fat), this is even sadder. She used to be a fairly attractive woman, and she writes in a way that is relatable and makes her sound semi-fun to be around, but it also makes you feel really bad for her. Something just kind of pathetic in her voice. This story pretty much just sealed the deal on that notion.

She has the delusion every guy she meets can’t resist her, even strangers and performers on stage, in a band, etc. They can see her wonderfulness and sexiness from afar. After all the brain damage from abuse, no memory is clear, especially from during that time. She would stare at someone until he noticed and then say “he just won’t stop looking at me”. Kirstie seems to have the same issues but someone let her write a book.

This book needs to be made into a bio pic and I know of an actress, (who is GREAT in bio pics), who was born to play the part of Kraztie. They have shared so many of the same struggles (snort, snort). They have the same grounded grip on reality. They even have the same double chin. This actress has a few minor problems with exhaustion, traffic accidents, debt repayment, pesky court dates, shoplifting, family issues and some other stuff, but if you can just get her to the set and out of her trailer, she’s terrific! (If you have trouble getting her out of her trailer calling the paramedics helps.) Call the Chateau Marmont and ask for Linds. She loves you already Kraztie. We all do.
