Here are some photos of Chris Pine and girlfriend Dominique Piek arriving back at the LAX airport about a week ago. These two have been dating (i.e., scruffing it up together) since early summer, and while I still think that the guy has pretty great facial structure, I don’t see what the big deal is about him in the looks department. But sure, he’s a big thing now (because he’s playing Captain Kirk in the Star Trek franchise reboot), and so he can date models. He’s also been known to hook up with Audrina Patridge in the past, so I guess he’s not exactly looking to score in the intelligence department when he shops for a lady.
Well, Chris might be shopping around for a new lady before he knows it because, according to Star, Dominique is sick and tired of him telling her what to do all the time. Apparently, Chris also tells her to get lost if she doesn’t like his alleged controlling ways, and he fancies himself the next George Clooney when it comes to women. HAhaha:
Beam him up, Scotty! Star Trek star Chris Pine has become so controlling with his stunning South African Sports Illustrated model girlfriend, Dominque Piek, that he’s threatening to destroy the relationship, says an insider.
“Chris was very sweet to Dominique at the beginning of their relationship,” bemoans a pal. “But now he tells her where to go to dinner, what movie to watch, where they will vacation — everything. And he says that if she doesn’t like it, she can leave. He likes to rub it in Dominique’s face that she is dating a star and says she should count herself lucky.”
Chris, 32 — who ws previously linked to Olivia Munn and Audrina Patridge — began dating the 27-year-old beauty in 2011.
The insider adds that Chris likes to compare himself to George Clooney, saying that, like the superstar, he’ll never commit to a woman. Hmm, perhaps Dominique should set her phaser to “dump”?

Soooo … he’s a bit of a modelizer who also specializes in famewhores (Olivia Munn & the aforementioned Audrina) as well. Maybe Dominique really does need to dump this guy before she ends up wasting years with him. If this story is true, Chris probably wouldn’t be too broken up if she left him, and since he fancies himself to be just like good old George, then he can just pick up the phone and call Elisabetta Canalis. I hear she’s available.

He’s no dummy.
Maybe he knows a fame whore that’s latching on for the ride? Often guys like the ride, so they stay, but won’t lie about making it permanent someday. Pine likes to avoid restaurants and places that are know Pap locations; an issue past girlfriends had trouble processing. He won’t commit to a girl that isn’t intellegent.
Also, an actor that didn’t stop going to college a la Clair Danes- because he already learned everything he needed to learn. He studied abroad for a year and actually graduated.

Star Trek was awesome and he’s hot! Audrina and Olivia though.. I guess all hot guys have a sketchy girl or 2 in their past.
The fact that he graduated means a lot. It shows once you commit you can follow through and that is also sexy.
Chris Pine is super hot AND smart. He not only graduated and pursued a masters, he went to a top 10 school. He wasn’t just partying, he is actually smart and ready to work hard and finish what he starts. Every interview I have ever seen has completely impressed me with his humility and humor.

That’s one of the things I admire about Julia Stiles, who attended and graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in English Literature. I don’t understand the general hate for that girl.

I loved him in Star Trek, he’s great and very charismatic. This story? It’s Star so I can’t manage much more than an eye roll. I’m waiting to see what their next cut and paste A didn’t get along with B on the set if C story. So far they’ve done Dark Knight Rises, Les Miserables…next!

Oh good, I’m glad that the ‘set phasers to _________’ trope is back with this movie.
I love his eyes. His cockiness (in his roles) is attractive to me, which I guess tells you about me. But if anybody told me where to eat or what to watch, I wouldn’t need to be told to get out of there, I’d leave before they finished their sentence. So I am having trouble with this story but maybe I just don’t want to believe it.
And who is that silver fox they are talking to in the airport? He looks like Simon Russell Beale – I love me a distinguished gentleman.

I do think Chris is sexy, and he’s very smart. But he’s come into his looks later in life. Because of this he could very well have issues about commitment and fame whores.

Looks certainly aren’t everything, although hard to give up. If he’s controlling, it won’t work for long with anyone unless they are very submissive. He will need a submissive woman. I’m not one of those lol…
