Stacy Keibler makes a paid appearance in Berlin (cough): cute or basic?

As we discussed over the weekend, Stacy Keibler flew from LA to Berlin to be with her still-on boyfriend George Clooney. This came on the heels of widespread reports that she and Clooney were dunzo, and that Clooney had already given her some retirement gifts: some jewelry, an apartment and a nondisclosure agreement. But Keibler is still around, and she and George went out to dinner over the weekend, making sure they got photographed together too. People Magazine said that George and Stacy went to dinner with Matt Damon, and that when Stacy arrived in Berlin, she had “quite a bit of luggage.” Which indicates that she’s planning on staying for a while. She also tweeted on Friday, “Hello Berlin!! Glad to be back! Excited to spend some time here.”

So, now you know. George and Stacy cannot bear to be apart. They are crazy in love. Do you believe that? Or do you believe that Stacy is playing George just right and for the moment, he’s fine with Stacy and how she keeps it uncomplicated? Or do you believe that the end is nigh and one of these days, she’ll be escorted off of George’s property for uttering the word “marriage”?

Anyway, these are some new photos of Stacy last night at the “grand opening of Escada flagship store and the launch of the online store Escada.com” in Berlin. Because as long as she’s in Berlin, she might as well get paid to do some appearances, right? I will give her that – she’s spent the last year and a half feathering her nest with these lower-tier appearances in Europe and Las Vegas and LA and NYC. I’m sure she’s made a lot of money from this relationship. Cough.

She’s lean and mean..that’s for sure but I still think they don’t “fit” together well. If he hasn’t popped the question yet..he never will. They will hold out until she pressures him…then its bye bye Miss American Pie!

  2. Guesto says:

Jeebus. That 3rd pic of her. She looks like a mannequin, blank eyed and plastic.

She also has very unattractive knees.

I’m done. There’s just so little material to work with. Same pose, same expression, same low-grade event, over and over and over again. She should find a niche – sports, sportswear – and focus on that and build some credibility because she just is not cutting it on the style front, and turning up for these endless c/d-list openings just emphasises how directionless she is and how dependant upon clooney she is for her ‘career’.

    • BooBooLaRue says:

      This.

    • bunny says:

Maybe I woke up on the right side of the bed or something but I am not feeling the snark today! She’s a pretty, undramatic woman who is trying to put some cash away for her future. I can’t find an issue with any of those things.

God forbid her knees aren’t perfect! Like a regular person!

. . . but if she looks too good it’s tacky and unreal, like a “mannequin”

      • Guesto says:

I never said her knees had to be perfect. I said I find them unattractive. That is my opinion. And since this is someone whose main claim to fame is her legs, and who shows them off at every opportunity, I think I’m perfectly within my snarking rights to comment on them.

She has a great body but she doesn’t know how to dress it or what suits her. No inate style. She looks best, as I’ve already said below, in sportswear, minus the heavy-handed make-up, extensions and fake tan. Again, my opinion. 🙂

      • Tiffany :) says:

My opinion is that I agree with bunny. She isn’t bold enough to really have anything to snark on for me. I think her knees are perfectly fine, and if that is her biggest flaw she is doing quite well.

I find it odd that people think she would pressure George to marry her. Not all women want to get married, perhaps she is one of them.

      • bunny says:

        Guesto,

I totally understand that your comment is your own opinion. Celebitchy covers so many delusional, narcissistic celebs that deserve this level of critique, but to my knowledge Keibler hasn’t even made a public faux pas yet. I just feel like she hasn’t really earned that level of snark.

        . . . but that’s just my opinion 😀

      • mandy says:

@tiffany : the question is not what she wants to marry! but how long their relationship will spend . because I think that even if she wants to marry she will not say surely!she hopes it maybe….

  3. Shira says:

    Heidi Klum!!!
That’s who she reminds me of.

  4. Jamie says:

Wow she seems to have gotten much thinner.

    • Lucy says:

I was thinking the same thing, and she’s looking a little rough in the face, too much time in the sun

    • cmc says:

She’s thinner but her body is crazy fit!! She looks like she works her a** off at the gym. Makes me want to work harder to look like that!

  5. marie says:

I dunno, the moves seem pretty scripted, but whatever I don’t really care.

She looks pretty in the photos though.

  6. Dawn says:

Why the cough? Isn’t this what Kim Kardashian does to earn her “living”? I think it is just nice that Stacy isn’t getting paid to “attend” parties in the Middle East yet. George takes good care of his ladies while in or out of the relationship so good for Stacy. Plus she has a great body and those legs go on forever.

  7. Eleonor says:

    orange.

  8. Hannah says:

Maybe that’s what she came to Berlin for in the first place, a paid appearance as opposed to hanging out with her still-bf?

  9. PugsterMom says:

Fake tan. Fake relationship. Real yawn.

  10. Kali says:

I just want to know if the vein in her forehead as a zip code all it’s own. I konw that sounds really mean, but ding dang that thing is HUGE. I guess I’m just really over her and wish she would fade into the background again. I am just tired of all these people who have no talent becoming famous for nothing.

    • DreamyK says:

Her forehead vein is impressive! It actually made me google to find out what causes a vein to get all bulgy on your forehead and my research of 30 seconds came back with booze and exertion. Both entirely in keeping with banging the Clooney 🙂

      • Amanda_SB says:

Thanks for looking it up. I always wondered what caused the bulging vein in the forehead. Julia Roberts has one, too. I read somewhere that it was a sign of too much Botox, but I know people that have definitely over-done it in that department and they don’t have a protruding vein. Very interesting.

      • Ainsleigh says:

Angelina Jolie has one of those veins too. Not too attractive but it doesn’t seem to be there all the time.

People have to dig pretty deep to find something nasty to post about Stacy. She’s just a nice lady, not mean, not catty (ahem)…granted she is wasting her time being with Clooney but that’s her deal.

  11. Amy says:

She doesn’t look very happy. People in love usually have a nice glow to them. Her eyes look dead.

    • Guesto says:

Yes. Like she’s just going through the motions.

She really should dump him. That would be her best career move.

      • Me Three says:

Sadly, for Stacy, I think dumping him would ruin whatever career she has. I’d never heard of her before George. The only time she ends up on gossip sites are either when the inevitable “they’ve split” stories begin again, or when she does an “appearance” with George. Google her and you’ll find very little when she’s apart from him for any length of time.

I would love to see her dump him. That would be one for the ladies anyway! But this woman’s “career” is based on being GF of. And even with that, what has she gotten? More D List appearances on “red carpets” where she does the same pose over and over. Oh, and a reality show courtesy of BF’s buddy Harvey Weinstein that will die a quiet death after the 10th episode.

I swear my Barbie had that white dress!

    • Jane says:

But she is glowing. Just not from love, but from being “nuked” in a tanning bed. And if she was not Clooney’s girlfriend, would she get these opportunities?

Don’t get why people are famous and make money without discernable talent or other reasons (Kardashian, Hilton etc.). Must be nice.

    • Erinn says:

LOL. Are you seriously saying that if you’re not glowing all the time, you’re clearly not in love? Jesus, I better call off my wedding- I’m not looking particularly glowy today.

      • Guesto says:

I think it’s more that she just never quite looks comfortable in her skin, almost as if she knows she’s there and being photographed because of who she’s dating rather than on her own merits. Where’s the achievement in that? It’s just sad and empty.

She always looks so much better when she’s just out and about in casual clothes or sportswear, back in her comfort zone, instead of trying to be something she’s not.

      • mandy says:

        @guesto : it’s true !! agree with you . 😉

      • Amy says:

Yeah, maybe you should, if you look as unhappy as Stacy Kiebler often looks.

  12. DanaG says:

Stacy will be shown the door soon the only reason she is around still is because George rarely sees her. These events she is doing are the same ones she did before George he really has done very little for her career. You would think he would at least put her in Monuments Men she is german surely someone needs to be pinned to the ground besides Clooney? Why does that dress fit so badly I won’t even go into her face that vein is huge. Someone’s been hitting the botox again.

  13. TheOriginalKitten says:

She has def. lost weight again.

Boring but she does have amazing legs.

  14. MonicaQ says:

I think if that’s his (Mr. Clooney’s) giant fear–tying the knot–he should probably make that apparent to start with. Then again, he probably does and they think they can ‘change his mind’ because they’re so awesome or just feel the ticking to get married…which I personally don’t get. Personally, the last direct person to be married in my family was my great-grandma (mom and grandma never bothered) and I got married only because my husband considered it an ~*amazing idea. I didn’t mind one way or another considering we had been together almost a decade at that point but jack and squat changed.

But that’s just me. Maybe it’s super important to the ladies he dates after awhile and he is like me and doesn’t mind being with someone and not married.

    • Amanda_SB says:

You bring up an interesting point. I’m 40 and have never been married, although I have been in several long-term relationships and easily could have gone that route. I just knew that I didn’t want kids and valued my independence (which is why all of my relationships eventually ended). Some people have said that I am selfish, but I am not living my life for them. I have a successful career and a great group of friends. I also have amazing parents, who have been married for 45 years, and a younger brother who is also married. Divorce doesn’t run in my extended family either, so who knows why I made the decision not to marry. My best friend (who is 42 and has been married 3 times) was raised by a single mom and never knew her dad. Her parents never married. Her mom did eventually get married, but not until she was in her 50’s, and it was to a man who was in his 70’s. We use to joke that her mom got tired of working 3 jobs and wanted to be taken care of. The truth is, that was the case, and he did take very good care of her. They were married for a number of years before he passed on and now her mom is a very wealthy lady and once again independent and not looking to settle down.

As far as Clooney goes, look at the facts: he was married once before and it didn’t work out; he has an amazing career that has brought him tremendous wealth and opportunity; his parents have been married for how long…???; he doesn’t want kids; and there are probably millions of women (and/or men)out there that would love to spend time with him. In light of all of these facts, why should he get married? Especially when over 50% of marriages end in divorce? Dont get me wrong. I am not knocking marriage as an institution. I think it’s wonderful and if you’re going to have children, having a partner to help raise them is a definite plus. I just think people tend to over-analyze celebs like Clooney and Jennifer Aniston, who, according to certain tabloids, was desperate to re-marry and have kids (and I don’t think she was in such a big hurry nor do I think she wants kids, but that’s a different story). I say to each his/her own. If the relationship between Clooney and Kiebler works for them, then great. In the grand scheme of things what does it really matter?

Just my 2 cents…sorry for the rant. I guess I am getting tired of hearing about whether they are on/off, too. 🙂

      • Amen says:

        Amen Amanda!
I too was single & estatic til 46. Years of pressure and constant persuasion made me feel as though I was incomplete and needed to validate a long term relationship thru marriage. The irony is the same friends that were desperate for me to marry we’re the same that confessed how miserable they were AFTER I joined them. Marriage is a not for everyone….for those of you that make it work
Congrats but respect/ honor others decisions…fulfillment is in the eye of the beholder…

  15. epiphany says:

George isn’t afraid of marriage, he’s afraid of losing a lifestyle he loves, but knows if it were common knowledge – especially to his more conventional American fans – his career would go down the tubes. No, I don’t think George is gay; I think he likes women, is attracted to women, sleeps with women, and even sleeps with whatever waitress/D list actress he has on contract. But he also has a thing for the occasional man, which he more freely indulges in Italy, as was told to me by the locals of Lake Como. Why marry when he now has everything he wants, plus a career that’s still going strong?

    • candigirl says:

I agree, why change beards now? I know he must get tired of them and probably doesn’t want to be entangled in any long term commitment with a woman, or give her ideas. But she seems to be the perfect fit for this job. She is a very American healthy sporty blonde model for him.. A statuesque Barbie doll, just right for the American movie star Rat Pack masculine image he projects for his fans. This is a good business deal and I think George may have renewed her contract.

  16. OhDear says:

She looks pretty, but unlike herself.

Think this pairing will end soon.

  17. Talie says:

I think it just seemed like too much hassle to him to have to get a new girlfriend while he’s editing this film over the summer for the festival circuit.

  18. Jacqueline says:

Blind Gossip is hinting heavily that she will announce a pregnancy soon. They’ve done 3 blinds on it already and this pairing is the consensus.

    • PHD gossip says:

not true at all. They think it could be Taylor Swift/Kate Perry/etc

      • Tiffany :) says:

From the comments I read, most at BV agree it is George and Stacy. But at the end of the day, those are just guesses anyway.

    • guest 1 says:

Look at her in that white dress, she looks even thinner than she did at the Oscars. She does not look pregnant to me and George probably had a vasectomy years ago, otherwise there would be little Clooney children running around LA by now.

    • Jane says:

If George wanted children, he would have them by now and as much as he dates around, I am sure he wants to avoid an “oops” baby. I go with him being “fixed”.

When asked about children, he always jokes that if he wanted one, he would “rent one of Brad and Angelina’s for a short time then return them when he was done with being a dad”. Not something a fatherly type would say. He is surrounded by his friends with multiple children, so I think he likes being Uncle George then going back to Como for peace and quiet.

    • mandy says:

having a child is worse than marry. there is a marriage contract but with a baby no contract so it is often the woman who decides but george love all decided ! So a baby, it is unlikely!

  19. lambchops says:

About the two year mark, his ladies have started to grow on me. I mean, I start kind of feeling sorry for them because it must be exhausting playing this game hoping to win the prize, but knowing it’s unwinnable. It must be a tiring game.

    • Carolyn says:

It’s a mutual contract. Both parties know what they’re getting into. Provided the ladies don’t spill any of George’s secrets they get a very nice payout/house etc when it ends. And they benefit from it whilst they’re together.

  20. Gwen says:

I like her. It’s George’s way with exchanging (young) girlfriend’s on a two circle that’s *cough* IMO, not the girls especially. Or at least I find Stacy more likable than the two before. I wish he’d just stay with her actually.

  21. Cody says:

Doesn’t she have to get back to the states to host her Supermarket Show or has it been cancelled already. This whole visit looks staged. I have read that Harvey Weinstein is producing her Supermarket Show. George probably called him up and told him to send the “girl”, so he could dismiss these rumors. Last week she did some red carpet event for JC Penny and this week Escada. IMO the whole thing is getting old and that she needs hustle work in Berlin.

  22. mandy says:

I think george did not appreciate that the press announced the break before him. it will have to wait. that’s why I think he was not with her that night. these knees are AWFUL. this is pretty terrible I think. please don’t compare heidi klum and stacy !! please not that.

  23. mandy says:

her smile is changing no ???

  24. Mr.Smurf says:

My question is why would anyone want her at their openings? It’s not like Clooney is actually going to be there…or are they hoping? She’s just not that interesting on her own.

  25. Gemini08 says:

I think Stacey is hanging on for dear life. It seems that whenever George may be extricating himself out of the relationship they are photographed together. I think Miss Thing is playing the long game with George.

  26. Happy21 says:

I like them together. I also think that there is this generalization that women WANT to be married. Maybe she is totally easygoing and is just enjoying what they have and making money off of who her boyfriend is. It’s entirely possible that she doesn’t care to be married and it’s entirely possible that they have a good relationship because that is how she is.

I’m a Clooney supporter these days as a result of watching the whole series of ER from the beginning and watching him as Doug Ross 🙂

    • Aqua says:

Yes,Overall I have no problem with what she does and the way she’s doing it.I’d be doing the same thing too if I were in her shoes.I think she is probably a very easy going person who likes to have fun and party.I think George is pretty much the same way.(I have a feeling that he throws/attends some amazing parties.)If it works for the both of them I guess that’s all that matters.

  27. Aqua says:

She’s killing two birds with one stone and why not? might as well make some money while she’s there. It’s something for her to do while George is busy making his movie.

  28. Anne says:

I actually don’t feel even a little snarky toward Keibler. She seems quite nice. She works. She seems sensible in that she understands her place in George’s life and that she needs to make preparations for the future.

Frankly, I like her so much more than Waity Katie.

  29. KellyinSeattle says:

I’d be milking it too, with as many appearances as possible, knowing my time was coming up…I wonder how much she got paid. Love the shoes in the last photo. I think George is more into her than others because she does have a little bit of sass.

  30. Itsa Reallyme says:

I think she looks great! Nicely made, simple dress. I think dressing like this makes her exude confidence.

  31. janie says:

Does it matter? If he is over the hill.. why does anyone care who he’s with? I’d have him in a New York minute!!!!

  32. Browniecakes says:

Who paid the Berlin airline ticket – Escada or George?

  33. anon345 says:

$25K per appearance? Wow, I’d take that gig. Nice retirement package!

  34. mandy says:

me, their relationship does not bother me. but what bothers me is all the lies around them! their false advertising, meetings programmed their false passion (because there is not), everything is planned and arranged in advance, their couple is not a coincidence or a thunderbolt, …. no more real relationship hollywood! shame …

  35. Miss M says:

She has more chemistry with the guy(she was photographed with at this Escada event) than she has with George. Perhaps, this guy was the one who hired her…

Quoting Michael K: “Stacy Keibler celebrates her contract renewal with George Clooney by working the hell out of her forehead vein at an Escada event in Berlin”

  36. lisa2 says:

I think Stacy looks fine. And it is so funny when she is called unattractive and I see comments about a few women on this site being called stunning or gorgeous. They don’t look any better then Stacy. So I guess it all depends on the eyes.

I don’t know if Stacy and George will last. She is what 33 or 34. AT this point like it or not she is going to have to make a decision. If she wants to have a family then she will have to cut it off with George. I believe she said she wanted children. George doesn’t want that. Now she has to decide. Keep in the relationship or move on. George has been honest; like him or not. He has been consistent. And I just hope that if Stacy really wants marriage/children that she gets out now. She may love George and love the time together, but to give up something you really want to stay in a relationship that could end any time is a gamble I don’t think I would make.

George is 50. Not changing. She is still young, But life doesn’t work on our schedule. She doesn’t know if she can have kids or if when she is ready the body will cooperate. I think for men and women you should not stay with someone that is not on the same page. Especially when it comes to building a family. You have to walk the same path on that. George is not on that path and never will be.

Now it is in Stacy’s court. If she wants those things then she better let go and move on.
