Miley Cyrus is Maxim Mag’s current #1 Hottest Lady or however they say it. And so Miley was invited to the big Maxim celebration last night in Hollywood. She wore this black-and-white Valentino pantsuit which… we recently saw in gown-form on Jennifer Aniston. Valentino is just churning out those similar-looking outfits, right? Anyway, I do like this jumpsuit on Miley. I like her overall look here a lot – she’s got that crazy Pilates body, her hair has grown out a little and the dark roots really help. Miley was also wearing her engagement ring. Still. Because she’s 20 years old and her relationship is ALL DRAMZ.
What does the Maxim’s hottest girl of the year wear to their big party? A sexy jumpsuit! Miley Cyrus didn’t disappoint on the red carpet at Maxim’s 2013 Hot 100 party at Vanguard in Hollywood on Wednesday, May 15.
The 20-year-old singer rocked a sexy, strapless black and white Valentino jumpsuit, which she accessorized with a favorite pair of striped Saint Laurent heels that she’s been photographed shopping in before. The stylish star wore bright red lipstick for a pop of color, and slicked back her short blonde hair.
Before the party, Cyrus joked that her ensemble was a last-minute decision. “Hmmm . . . What to wear . . . What to wear . . . Hmmmm,” she tweeted. “Valentino. You’ve never done me wrong!” Cyrus has been loving the jumpsuit look lately. On March 22, she wore a black and white striped Chanel jumpsuit to the opening of Seacrest Studios at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange, Calif.
The “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks” singer only briefly flashed her engagement ring from Liam Hemsworth while attending the Maxim event solo. Instead, she kept her hands tucked firmly inside the pockets of her jumpsuit while posing on the carpet.
The former Hannah Montana actress was very honored to top Maxim’s annual Hot 100 list. “It feels amazing to be No. 1, especially because it was voted on by the fans. I have the best fans in the world!” she told the magazine. “It’s every woman’s fantasy to be told she’s No.1 on Maxim’s Hot 100! So crazy!”
Miley has been flashing her engagement ring in Twitter photos too. So I don’t know. Even though I like Miley and I want her to be good and psychologically healthy, this is my reading of how things are going down between her and Liam: I think she’s clinging. I think she’s the one holding on, trying anything to make it work, and I think Liam is totally over it and he really wants a clean break but he won’t just sack up and break it off for good, maybe because he’s young, maybe because he’s a d-bag, and maybe because he does genuinely care about her and he doesn’t want to hurt her. But Miley keeps sucking him in and so the state of their relationship is very… fluid. And drama-filled.
I’m also adding an extra photo of Abu Nazir (real name: Navid Negahban, from Homeland) just because I was absolutely SHOCKED to see him at this Maxim event. WTH?

Miley is totally out of my field of interest, but here, she looks appropriately dressed bordering on understated elegance. She almost looks as though she is trying to model her look after Liam’s sister-in-law.
You have it just backwards. Tacky cut her hair at Chris and Miley’s urging, and took up yoga for the same reason. She is also been sporting a lot of Cyrus gear looks lately. They get along, they like each other. it’s cool.

She looks good here. I like Miley, she seems fun and acting as if she actually loves her life. So what she smokes a little pot, she’s far from Amanda Bynes and Blohan. My only fault is that she is cute but she is not the hottest woman in the business. I guess Maximum is trying to keep to the script of People’s Magazine of getting it all wrong.

I think her body is on point and you can tell she puts in the effort to maintain it. By hot, I mean she doesn’t look as hard as she has looked in the past. I like the bold lips and other than the bow in back, the outfit is spot on for her body.

@Anna I was unaware that Max used readers votes (thanks for pointing that out) but that doesn’t make me feel any better becasue I don’t trust the mags to be honest with public voting. I find it hard to believe that men are voting for Miley as hottest; I would see JLAw before Miley. It’s all fake BS IMO. She has a great publicist just like Goop. That being said, I still have a soft spot for her so I’m not that disappointed.

I can see where the skepticism comes from, and actually I also had a similar reaction of ‘her? really?’ (even tho I heart Miles). At the same time I def dont think it would be someone like JLawr – I think she’s been almost more of a girl crush for girls, than guys. She’s the cute/hot bff type to me, than the straight-forward lust object, esp bc I dont think she does mags like Maxim etc. Plus that oscar is ‘intimidating’. I am seeing someone like Megan Fox getting the vote.

It’s probably highlighting powder. You can’t see it in person but if it’s put on a little too heavy it shows up in pictures.
I just can’t get over that white make-up around her mouth. It makes her look like the Joker. But her body is amazing and the jumpsuit looks good on her.
In whatever light they did her makeup under, it probably just wasn’t visible. Those harsh harsh photographer flashes are very bright and will bring any goosebump out to be a giant pimple.
This may actually be the first time I’ve ever seen anybody look great in a jumpsuit, but she looks fantastic.
I agree RobN. I don’t think jumpsuits suit many women at all, and are mostly inappropriate outside of a dance club. But she pulls it off better than anyone I’ve seen. She looks sensational!

Re: still wearing her ring – who knows? Maybe she and Liam aren’t officially over and he’s trying to get her to break up with him by planting stories in the press, and by wearing the ring she’s letting him know that he isn’t getting away that easily. Maybe she’s doesn’t want to accept that the relationship is over (this is her first, real, “grownup” relationship, right?). Maybe she bought the ring and she doesn’t want to stop wearing it because it’s pretty. Or maybe she really is all about the drama. I just have an unexplainable soft spot in my heart for her.
I think they’re over and she just wears the ring anytime she feels the attention starting to wane. Next thing you know, she busts out that ring.

I don’t know what the highlighting powder is, but the HD powder I mentioned is the Make Up Forever HD setting powder. I don’t know if you remember a few years ago when several celebrities (Nicole Kidman was one of them) were photographed with white powder under their eyes, but it was because their makeup artists used that powder to set their undereye concealer.

I think the ring is just for show now, to keep people talking. Considering how efficient the paps have always been in finding those two, there hasn’t been a single photo of them with each other since before Oscar season. And he moved out of their place months ago.
I would understand why she might still be clinging to something, but what makes this all fishy for me is how desperately her publicist wants people to think they’re still together, despite the lack of evidence, which would be so easy to fix if they really were. Weird.

I don’t know, something about her has always just come off ‘annoying’ to me. I’ve never been a fan of her hair the way it is now. To be honest, the makeup doesn’t do anything for her either. & the jump suit just isn’t catching me, I guess I’m 0 for 0, & the odd one out.

To me she is proof that anyone can be put in expensive clothes and apply lots of makeup and have professional stylists– and come out looking like something totally else.

I think that it is ridiculous that people still jump on the Liam/January bandwagon when there is NO proof whatsoever save for a few pics of them being in the same car MONTHS ago. I’m no JJ fan, but people jumping on her on being a homewrecker is absurd. Even when Lainey posted her “blind” item, she posted NOT January Jones (it was Liam flirting with Emma Watson) and the magically a few weeks later, its all about January Jones. I think that if there was something going on with Liam and JJ, we would see or hear about something more than speculation from a car ride.
