A year ago, Kristen Stewart was deciding whether or not to cover up and deny her affair with Rupert Sanders. The reaction – both publicly and privately – to the affair would end up damaging her career to the point where she wouldn’t be able to sign on to a film for another full year. These photos of Kristen are just more pics from the set of Camp X-Ray – we covered the first photos yesterday. This is the first time she’s been in front the cameras since she filmed Snow White & the Huntsman (and banged the director).
If I put myself in Kristen’s Chucks, I think the priority for her is simply getting back to work, regardless of the quality of the project. And I really don’t think Camp X-Ray is anything special. In fact, it might end up being offensive and exploitative towards the real military personnel who serve at Gitmo AND the prisoners and combatants being held there. But we’ll see. I won’t judge the story until I see what it’s really about. I do know Kristen’s co-stars are Tara Holt and Lane Garrison. You know what? I think Lane would probably be into Kristen. Doesn’t he date women who are much younger? And doesn’t Kristen like to bang the dudes she works with? HOT MESS. (Oh, and he once slapped his girlfriend – there’s video. And he killed a 17-year-old kid while he was going out for more beer for a high school party.)
According to Hollywood Life, Kristen is “happy” to be working, but she’s finding the boat scenes really rough, and Lane is helping her through it:
“Kristen is really happy to be back on set filming, but yesterday [July 17] was kind of rough for her. It was a grueling, long day of shooting from 7:30am to 7:30pm. The scene takes place on a boat where Kristen’s character and her love interest played by Lane Garrison go out fishing and have a party. Tara Holt was also on set. At one point, Kristen started feeling really sea sick. She couldn’t really take anything for it, except drink some ginger ale. Lane was super sweet and kept asking her if she felt OK and needed anything.”
She gets sea sick? I always thought I would be the kind of person to get sea sick, but I’m very happy and content in a boat, surprisingly. But I do get vertigo in really tall buildings, so there’s that. Anyway. I’m calling it. Lane and Kristen are going to have a thing.
PS… She’s still smoking.

I caught Adventureland again this weekend and she’s a terrible actress. But I’m going to give her credit here and say she doesn’t seem all that interested in dating or hooking up. Just let the woman do her job.

Nah, I don’t think she would. Robert Pattinson and Rupert Sanders are both attractive and successful, not total losers. I might have bought Michael Pitt because he’s so talented and “cool”, Kristen’s type for sure. But even I don’t think she’d go for a complete failure. She’s too proud for that. I see her next boyfriend being in the Michael Pitt realm… that almost seemed believable, if he wasn’t engaged and all.

Part of me wonders if they sized up her fatigues to make her look bulkier and more realistic. My brother went to West Point and even the smallest women in his class had incredible muscle tone…Kristen does not =/

I see a problem with the movie already. Gitmo is a NAVY base. What is she and the cast doing in Army fatigues? I haven’t seen any news article saying Gitmo’s MP’s are Army. If the guards are Marines I can see that because the Dept. of the Navy oversees the Marines. This project is going to get skewered; Kristen too for not doing the research and looking desperate to getting an acting job.

Some comments are more harsh than warranted, just as some people come here and gush over Kristen and excuse every wrong she’s ever made. It goes both ways. She was quite good in On the Road, Into the Wild, and Fierce People (with a young Chris Evans). Chris is actually really underrated, he was excellent in that movie and also The Iceman. She needs to step away from the super dramatic super off-beat indies though, because she’s been typecast as playing the”sullen” or “troubled” teen, and do more movies out of that genre. Anyway, I always thought she did well in supporting roles and tended to lose steam as a lead (have to confess I’ve never seen any Twi movies past the first one…basing this off Snow White). The upcoming Assaya film is a step in the right direction, this film is not. Instead of taking more “lead” roles like this, she should focus on taking supporting roles (like the Assaya film) and build her credibility up a bit.

Well I´m not a big fan of her attidude. She always acted so “badass” and never got tired of sending the message that she is not hollywood, when in fact played the game really well.
BUT I have to say I´m so tired of all this hatred towards her. What is it that people enjoy it so much to tear her down? Yes, she made a mistake and you don´t have to applaud her for that but it was a private one (yeah publicly photographed but still a mistake in her private relationship). I don´t get why people get so invested and act like they have been affected by this personally.
I mean there are enough other celebrities that cheated on their partners but they never got this much heat. Double standard much?
Assuming people only hate her for the cheating scandal is the same as her fans who always assumed she only was hated cause she was dating Rob. I’m not a fan of Kristen either. I don’t really have an opinion of her, don’t know much about her, and have only seen three of her movies. But it always makes me laugh when people on this site and others assume that they so intimately know the character of a stranger just because they’ve seen that person on TV and they’ve read tabloids. It sort of reminds me of when I was in high school and these girls warned me to stay away from this ‘weird’ girl, and I actually ended up being friends with this ‘weird’ girl. What those girls found weird I didn’t. Of course you can get certain vibes from a person based on their interviews, but I’ve noticed that everybody’s reactions to what they read in someone’s interview tends to be based on the reader’s outlook.
You forgot to mention, down to earth, loves her fans and they love her back for it, honest, tells it like it is, talented actress, a young actress that has never been in trouble. no drugs or drinking, doesn’t date around. family oriented. I could go on and on.

I don´t really get the feeling that others beeing judged that harsh. I mean was Brad Pitt ever really called out for beeing a cheater? I think it was Angelina Jolie who was called the homewrecker. Is it mentioned in every single article about Tiger Woods how he is a serial cheater and pathological liar? What about Ben Afflecks wandering eye? Jude Law, Josh Duhamel, Justin Timberlake and so on.. Apart from that it´s the ultimate sin for a woman in hollywood to cheat, whereas men survive the scandal rather unscratched, I feel that women who are not really the girly-girls get extra heat.
