Here are some photos of Amber Heard outside the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” studios on Wednesday, and I am totally feeling her outfit. Amber’s wearing a Michael Kors dress that looks like separates (that low-cut black top and high thigh split really flatter her figure), but it’s really all one piece and belted at the waist. Amber was on hand to promote Paranoia, which is coming up faster that I expected with an August 16 release date. Have you seen the movie’s trailer yet? I’d caution against watching it if you don’t like spoilers because it feels like the entire movie has been condensed into just over two minutes. Spoiling might be a blessing in disguise because it looks like a typical corporate intrigue movie. While there are a lot of high-profile actors involved like Gary Oldman, Harrison Ford, and Richard Dreyfuss, there is no mistaking the studio’s intention to market the film as a Liam Hemsworth star vehicle. Yawn.
At any rate, Amber looked gorge during this appearance, but there’s something different about her that I can’t put my finger on… new teeth? Weird spray tan? Bad eye makeup? I don’t know.
Amber brought her parents (but not boyfriend Johnny Depp) along for the Kimmel interview, and she talked about her Texan father’s smooth move when seeing her off to Los Angeles at age 17: “[He] took out a pearl-handled .38 special and handed it to me and said, ‘Hey baby girl, I got you a pretty one. It don’t got a hammer. So you just pull it right out of your purse!’” Amber has previously discussed her pro-gun stance; she owns “several” of them including a .357 Magnum and has claimed, “I’m a good shot.”
This week’s issue of the Enquirer has an amusing addendum to Johnny’s post-Lone Ranger temper tantrum where he alternately blamed the critics and threatened to retire from acting. Apparently, he now really wants to move to his little Caribbean island and become “a hermit.” Good luck with that, Johnny.

We are used to seeing people in hollywood with the ‘hollywood smile’ – ie their face just happens to be arranged such that they look the most beautiful when they have a huge smile on their face

I love the chipmunk cheeks! I think she looks really youthful which she is, and a bit goofy which is endearing. And then you get the smolder when she’s not smiling which is a great combination. I don’t know if I’ll ever ‘get’ her with Johnny, but it’s nice to see her look more human.

Yes, she bleached her teeth to “reality tv” level brightness. I find blindingly blue-white teeth to be a turn-off. It’s up there with obvious plastic surgery, strange filler-face, and Doritos spray tan. Grotesque.

Keira, Scar-Jo with Lauren Bacall’s eyes and yeah a bit of Blake Lively. Of course it’s a stunning combination but it’s probably why she doesn’t stand out like, say, Angelina Jolie whom she seems to aspire to be. I like her figure though.

Sigh. Yup. I just miss the whole Johnny-Vanessa era, ya know, when I still admired him for staying faithful to his longtime (age-appropriate) love and choosing France and his kids over Hollywood.
Vanessa is 10 yrs younger than Johnny. I actually tired of all their “family is such a blessing/children give meaning to my life” stuff. It always seemed forced to me, and as if they were presenting that particular way of life to the media and fandom. And sure enough, people lap it up. And I say that as a Johnny fan; it was always the one thing I did NOT like about him.
I DID definitely like that he was ready to live abroad though, I thought that was great, and his interest in France pre-dated Vanessa, I believe. He once said he’d always been drawn to that country, which is interesting.
The whole ‘age-appropriate’ moral-policing is seriously annoying and FYI he’s still a dad to his children. BTW he was always working in Hollywood and spending time in L.A. His love for Europe precedes Vanessa and is not probably going anywhere. He’s still a laid-back and enigmatic man.
Vanessa was tired of his ‘hiding’ lifestyle and nomadic existence and wanted to go back to her base in France and concentrate more on her career. She had been busier than ever for quite some time before the split.
And Depp couldn’t afford to keep up by settling at her place like he did for a long time anytmore. So she decided she doesn’t want to work at it anymore and left.
So what is Depp supposed to do?? Threaten her to win her back? He just got over his heart-break (complete with mid-life crisis) and moved on. ‘Fairytale’ romance is over, these are movies where career comes first and no one is above it.

I have always really liked the Michael Kors look…I think it’s chic and simple and pretty. He has a new line of makeup! It’s all bronzers and lip glosses and nail polish.
I found some really cute pieces he did at Macy’s – he does simple, paired down styles that are classic and sexy. But everything was stunningly overpriced. Like a $60 was marketed as a $220 dress.
I always thought Amber was a spectacular beauty (facially) but in these pictures she actually looks vey normal. Depp simply echoed what Gore had said by trying to explain ‘why’ the critics may have had presumptions – he simply concluded it doesn’t matter to him what critics think of it.

Yes his movie flopped, actually it’s just like his first real flop in years, but he isn’t throwing tantrums for crying out loud. She’s smiling and there’s no photoshop. I think that’s what happened. She has a full face, and a small mouth with puffy lips that accentuates it, like Miley and ScarJo. Some people find that look pretty, others don’t. She reminds me of a cross between KStew (the eyes) and ScarJo (everything else), with a touch of Rachel Zoe (I wonder if that’s who styled her.) I like the skirt and shoes, but the top is meh. The dark orange spray tan and that hairstyle do nothing for her.

I think it’s strictly a matter of personal preference. What is ‘chipmunk cheeks’ to one person is ‘beautiful cheekbones’ to another. A more angular face looks ‘hard’ to some, or ‘great bone structure’ to others. And so it goes… But I think we can all agree the orange tans need to go. đŸ˜‰
