I had the same exact reaction. Gross. (not a knock on Adams, love her and she deserves better, especially at her stage of her career).
It’s very 70’s. If you weren’t around for it, it was a very gross time, for lack of a better word. Even the movies looked a little dirty – all yellow film and bad lighting and filthy cars. Basically, it’s not unfair exploitation…it’s accurate.

Allow me to respectfully disagree. I think they are only role models if you let them be. Role models are teachers, entrepreneurs and people who make a difference in this world. Anyone associated to hWood shouldn’t be held to such high standards because they will only let you down. They are making money in a twisted system. All the Disney kids have huge issues.
One last comment. I think we underestimate our youth. I have a friend who has a daughter who was a big Hannah Montana fan and now at 13 just thinks Miley is “gross” and “lost”. Wanna know who she wants to be when she grow up? JK Rowling. And it’s for the stories, not the fame.
