These are photos of Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz on the set of their romantic comedy, S*x Tape. The movie is about a couple who seeks to recover their homemade pr0n video. It sounds pretty dumb, but I’m excited to see these two reunite after their Bad Teacher chemistry worked so well. Plus Jason and Cam are probably hooking up in real life, and that’s hot.
Jason has been steadily losing weight over the past several months. Part of this transformation might be a result of quitting booze, but he’s looking a little bit gaunt in these photos. I don’t seek to body shame him, but the cumulative weight loss displayed here is a bit shocking compared to his former teddy-bear self. I actually think he looks fine, but I don’t want to see him lose any more. Does that make sense? Jason recently revealed how he lost weight for this movie’s nude scenes. He didn’t want to take crap like he did after disrobing in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. That was a great movie, but I can see why he wouldn’t want a repeat of the same cruel jokes:
“This time when I take my shirt off, I’ve made a promise to myself, it doesn’t have to be funny,” he said.
“I took heat for Forgetting Sarah Marshall, where I was completely nude,” the Hollywood star said. “But different characters require different body types.”
So what’s the part that Segel’s gearing up for?
His upcoming project dubbed S*x Tape, which costars Cameron Diaz. The comedy is focused around a married couple who search for and try to retrieve a lost porn video they made of themselves.
Ahh, we get where this is going.
“It is R-rated,” Segel admitted, adding, “and I’m not in shape for no reason.”
From the looks of things, he is definitely in shape and ready to film the highly anticipated flick.
S*x Tape is currently slated to hit the big screens next summer.

I wonder if this weight loss will be permanent for Jason. Losing a few pounds for a romantic comedy is one thing, but I hope he doesn’t get obsessed about it. This isn’t Oscar-bait material where actors traditionally lose weight for awards. I think Jason looks good no matter what. There’s something about him that seems irresistable.

It’s weird but he does look creepy. I think he lost all through dieting and no physical activity. Looks weak, especially for his height. Gain some muscle mass dude, just a little!

I know he’s a boozehound and unfortunately with some of the company he keeps (La Lohan), I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a methhead. It’s sad. He used to be really talented but he’s been phoning it in on HIMYM for the last 5 seasons.
Wow, that was my first thought when I saw the pictures. He has a meth-head look. I’m not even implying that he’s doing meth, but he looks like someone who would be featured on “faces of meth”. That level of skinny doesn’t suit everyone. He would look better a bit more rounded out.

I’m tired of people thinking skinny=unhealthy. YES that is true when it is an eating disorder, but he looks healthy. I’m rather skinny and people always frwaking tell me that I need to eat more. Um, I’m the one who would definitely be able to run a freaking marathon. And in sorry, since when is it acceptable to tell a skinny guy to eat more…I mean you would be dr tell an overweight person that you never met to eat less. If he feels healthy, then he’s fine. There’s alot more to health than outward appearances. I guarantee you that he will LIVE LONGER now with that fat.

As a skinny girl who runs marathons, you cannot tell how fit someone is by if they are thin or not.. There are all types of body shapes crossing the finish line.

Whoa um Just so people know, that’s not the same Andrew as me, like I’m the Andrew that’s been on here a while…I’ll call myself Andrew1 so I won’t get confuzzled with Andrew (which is weird because I’m thin-ish too). Anywho, I agree he looks sickly, but he could just be tired. As long as he’s healthy and not doing anything drastic he’s fine, just looks different than what we’re used to. I agree he’s sickish looking but I’m sure he has a constant doctor and trainer on hand (or maybe I’m assuming…if I was a celeb I’d want a doctor/nutritionist on hand if I was going to do a weight change).
With Jason there have been a lot of whispers over the years that he’s partying too much and that he’s got some pretty serious issues. Hollywood isn’t the same as real life for the most of us, and unfortunately there rapid weight loss is rarely the result of healthy choices. On the other side of the spectrum, think about when Jack Osborn lost all that weight when he went to Thailand and took up Muy Thai – he looked fit and healthy, not drawn and pale.

I never got his appeal before the weight loss and certainly not now. I haven’t seen his show but in movies he always struck me as a charisma vacuum. And that slicked-back hair is doing nothing for him.

A little too skinny for me. But this is probably healthier than before when it was all booze weight. The thing about weight loss is that it takes awhile before your skin settles(?) and he still looks a little droopy.
I used to work with alcoholics who had just quit. They usually GAIN weight as their appetite for real food kicks in. And they develop quite a taste for sweets as the body seeks a substitute (sugar) for the booze. No weight loss like Jason.
This looks more heroin than just “off booze” and it creeps me out.

This. I’ve adored Jason for years, and think he looks better thinner than heavier But he doesn’t just look skinny here – he looks unhealthy. The washed-out, pale face, the dark circles under the eyes, the overall skin tone – this is not the look of someone who lost weight in a healthy way. I hope drugs are not involved -I know he used to smoke a lot of pot, but hopefully he hasn’t moved on to anything stronger.
If you look at how he was Season 1, 2 of How I Met Your Mother, you can see the difference. At the time he talked about losing weight in a healthy way, going to the gym, and you could really tell – he had muscle tone, his skin was almost glowing, he looked great. Not at all like this.

I agree with most commenters above, he looked better a little chubbier (especially on the face). And it’s actually kind of refreshing to see actors who don’t seem to love the mirrors and their biceps more than us!
Personally, I think I preferred his look pre-weight loss. I think he should stick to whatever weight he’s comfortable with, though. I hope he’s not feeling pressure from anybody about the weight. The body standards celebrities are expected to adhere to are just crazy.
Seriously, there is more to health than looks. I guarantee that he is healthier now than with that fat and he will live longer.
But he doesn’t look healthy, compared to himym. He looks poorly, like he’s done the adderall diet instead of diet and exercise. That does not make you live longer.

@bob, you might have nailed it with “the adderal diet.” I have friend who went on it, dropped a ton of weight and has been almost skeletal, frail and unwell looking for over a year now. The sick thing is she gets all this positive reinforcement from all the other women we know, saying how fantastically thin she is and how they wish they could lose weight like that. And all I can think about is how she seems like a shell of her former vibrant and NOT overweight self.
@Andrew: You can’t guarantee that and it’s ludicrous to keep saying that.
That is a ridiculous thing to say: there’s more to health than looks, but skinny so therefore he’s healthy? Those are 2 contradictory statements. I can guarantee that if he’s using stimulants to get that skinny he’s neither healthier or going to live longer.

The 5 Year Engagement is one of the cutest movies, and Jason is terrific in it. So adorable. But he does look really really bad in these photos, and like others have commented, I hope he hasn’t traded one addiction for another.

This is a great example of someone who looks better as a chubby person. I am not promoting unhealthy living or obesity, but people like Maria Kang need to realize that not everyone is meant to be skinny. You see naturally “rounder” people who lose weight and they end up looking even unhealthier, unproportioned, and odder than before. As it has already been stated plenty of times by others here, as you age, you need to balance your weight in accordance to your face. I don’t think it is so much as choosing between your face or your body but accepting that you won’t be as thin as your 20 year old self and being fine with that as long as your body is healthy and there is a bit of fat in your face to make it less gaunt and wrinkled. Too much weight loss and it looks really bad for a lot of people as they age. Jason looks awful. He needs to gain at least ten pounds back. In conclusion, no I wouldn’t hit it. He looked a lot better in the Five Year Engagement.

I know this post isn’t really about this…but DAMN. Every time I see a pic of Diaz now she just looks so…awful. Just awful. It’s like her face is sliding down her neck. She looks absolutely terrible.
His weight has always yo-yoed drastically which I think can be blamed on his bad habits and not eating or living cleanly. He was incredibly skinny when he was very young and you can see his noticeable weight changes very well on How I Met Your Mother. These past two seasons he has looked really good but in these photos he just looks…worn out

I was just on a blind item website – I never even come close to guessing correctly – and the latest item is about a male, comedic actor from both TV and movies who has a terrible eating disorder. This screams Jason. I hope he gets the help his friends are begging him to get. So so sad.

I saw him in Cambridge MA two weekends ago. Always had a bit of crush on him but at that time (and these pictures show) he was not looking good in the flesh. I actually thought to myself “uh-oh there’s going to be a story coming out about him soon”.
Cameron looks great with curly/wavy hair. It’s a good look on her and softens her features. Makes her look younger too.
As for JS, well he’s never done much for me, but as others have said he doesn’t look well. Maybe it is just a bad angle/picture?

Poor Marshall! I have noticed lately in episodes of HIMYM that he didn’ look right. He was kinda cute around Season 3 of the show. Think he has issues – I just always thought he couldn’t fake that sweetness he exudes.
