  1. They should leave people like Pierce Brosnan’s wife alone. But a spot light should be put on these girls since they try to stay thin just for the camera.

  3. I’m not a HUGE fan of Mandy moore, but I like how they’re like “Oh, yeah, mandy’s been battling depression all year, and she’s gained a lot of weight, what a hog” Ok, it doesn’t say EXACTLY that, but it’s insinuated. I’m sure THAT will help her depression, if she reads it. She looks FINE! NOT fat. Women who are a TINY bit overweight or less than 20 lbs overweight, or NOT OVERWEIGHT AT ALL, shouldn’t be listed in this article about eating disorders. It’s like they’re saying “Oh yeah, mandy moore, for example, she’s looking like a hippo and she’s going to die of a heart attack any day now because of her “eating disorder”. You know, cuz she’s SO fat. All that extra weight is really dragging her down.” What the hell? Like Celebitchy said, even the NORMAL sized girls are being picked on. Being told they need to be thinner, but as soon as they do, they’re TOO thin, and anorexic. F@#K! What the hell does the “perfect” woman look like?! I really wanna know, damn it!

  4. This double bind is the reason why body types shouldn’t be included in fashion fads. I am so tired of fashion and entertainment magazines blaring on about how superthin is in (like the waif look of the ’90s), or curvier bodies are higlighted now (like the Glamazons). As if women can change their essential body types like we change our shoes.

  5. Jamie Pressly is underweight because she’s 5′5″ and 110 pounds? Which is standard for pretty much every actress in Hollywood? Baffling. And Streisand is getting on in years, how skinny do you want her to be?

  6. no wonder these actresses have eating disorders, if you are normal, you are fat and your every flaw is pointed out while the tabloids say how much of a fat pig you are (which is just that anorexia voice externalized making you think you are fat when you are not) so you eat less, get skinny then you are anoxeric. Enough already.

  7. It must be nice to be the people who wirte for this magazine since they are obviously so perfect that they can sit back and judge other people.
