Princess Suri Cruise meets Cinderella at Disney World (Update: Photos)

spl80919_005

Suri Cruise is a princess, in every possible way. Or, at least, she’s always dressed like a princess. Always. One outfit on any given day is most likely more expensive than my entire wardrobe. Now Suri is actually being dressed as a Disney princess - and she gets to meet Cinderella! Cinderella was always one of my favorites of the Disney heroines. I’m so jealous, Suri!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes took little Suri to Disney World, and for the occasion, Suri was decked out in what looks like a special blue ball-gown and bare feet. Of course. The day was part of Tom’s “romantic” plans for Katie and Suri, which I have to admit, is reallt sweet. I imagine Tom took his girls to Disney World, then let Suri sleep while he and Katie went out to dinner. Seriously, y’all, praise Xenu! The Daily Mail has more:

Being the daughter of one of Hollywood’s most well paid actors certainly has its perks.
And toddler Suri Cruise was enjoying the benefits of it during a family trip to Walt Disney World in Florida.

The two-year-old, who was dressed as a princess for the occasion, looked to be having a magical time as she was treated to a very personal meet and greet with her heroes Mickey and Minnie Mouse while her doting parents Tom Cruise, 46, and Katie Holmes, 30, looked on.

The Cruise family skipped the queues at the theme park and spent time with a number of characters including Cinderella - much to Suri’s delight.

The toddler, who has become something of a fashionista despite her tender years, looked adorable in a blue ball gown and bare feet and was all smiles during the trip which was a Valentines day surprise for her and her mother from film star Tom.

Katie opted for a more casual look for the occasion and was sporting a striped top and jeans.

Before the trip Cruise admitted that he had some special treats up his sleeve for his 30-year-old wife and would provide ‘a lot of surprises for her throughout the day.’

“(I like) doing romantic things, such as bringing flowers and surprising her with things,’ the actor told US magazine.

‘I love candlelit evenings with nice music. I feel lucky to have Kate as my wife. She’s an extraordinary woman. She is funny and smart and she likes the same things that I do.’

He also commented on his daughter’s style icon status and admitted that he is ‘flattered’ that the public have become influenced by her wardrobe.

‘It’s very flattering that people want to copy Suri’s clothes and the way she dresses,’ said Tom - who also has two adopted children, Connor and Bella, with ex-wife Nicole Kidman. ‘It does feel strange but you have to kind of go ‘it is what it is. Of course we all think our children are incredible and I feel that way about all three of our kids.’

From The Daily Mail

I’ve never been one of those people who buys into Tom Cruise’s stuff or his “romance”, but I’m tempted to become a believer. First there was that fun-looking Brazilian vacation, and now he took his girls to Disney World! I don’t want to be married to Tom, but I wouldn’t mind having him as a very generous friend. His comeback is complete! I now feel wistful when looking at pictures of Katie Holmes’s life. That means it all worked.

  2. I hate the way celebrities always get specialist treatment at the Disney parks. The rest of us have to fight through the crowds just to get a glance at Mickey and the other characters.

  3. Megan, they probably didn’t have to pay admission either.

  7. No it isnt “fair” but do you really expect them to wait in lines and be harassed by everyone? Seriously if they were waiting in line for Its a Small World all the adults would be losing their minds and it would take away from the everyones experience. And no they prob didn’t pay admission but for Disney thats like paying for advertising. Let the cruises in and get their name splashed all over the paper about how much fun they are having at Disney World = lots of lemmings booking their next vacation at the mouse house.

  8. that kid doesn’t have the slightest idea how to interact with others — or even how to play. how sad.

  9. That pic of Suri holding hands with Mickey & Minnie is very sweet - kid looks so happy and excited and awestruck and normal Don’t often see that. Aw.

Tom’s still good comedy value tho’, I’ll give him that.

  10. Every time I see Suri her bangs are so long they cover up her “Chris Klein is my real daddy” eyebrows. She even has his very fair skin tone. Why don’t Tom and Katie just relax and fess up about it all?

  11. If you work(ed) there, you get those kinds of perks too. LOL

Assuming you still know the right people. ;)

  14. When I went to visit my sister in FLA her husband had a business associate who got us passes to Sea World. I had a fantastic time, if you get the chance to go, do it. They rehabilitate a lot of aquatic life like manatees there too.

I’ve never been to Disney/world/land but it’s never piqued my interest either. Always struck me as just a place for kids with never-ending line-ups.

  15. ANON & KATE - I’m totally agreeing with the two of you. I have two daughters who are 3 and 4 yrs old. While I admit it would be nice to have a crap load of money to be able to afford them the occasional awesome vacation or whatever, a kid HAS to be a kid! They have to know how to play, get dirty, look for bugs and other critters. Make friends their own age. My girls are out in the sun every day playing, riding their bikes, rolling around in the grass…BEING KIDS. While Suri seems to live a ‘good life’ I don’t think she is being allowed to live a proper kids life. Thats pretty sad.

  16. They let her walk around Disney World in her bare feet? Yuck!

  17. I highly doubt they let her put her bare feet on hot asphalt, Kate.

Anyway, I loved Disneyworld when I was a kid. It’s a great place to go as a family so I don’t see anything wrong with them taking her with just the immediate family.

Also, celebrities do have to pay to get into amusement parks. The skipping the line thing isn’t done as a “perk”, it’s for their personal safety and privacy.

PS you can BUY special passes like that at Universal Studios and Disneyland. My mom does it now for birthdays (yes I’m 22 and still go to Disneyland for my birthday, what?) Celebrities BUY those passes, they aren’t just given to them.

  18. Oh, and fyi I know that they buy them because my best friend when I was younger’s father is a famous actor and we’ve went to Knott’s, Disneyland and Universal Studios and they all pretty much did the same thing. They offer you the pass (or you ask for it) along with your regular admission.

lol, my thoughts exactly. Josh and Chris should have demanded a test to know if she is Josh/ Chris daughter.

I’m not sure Katie even knows which of them is it.

  24. I saw a little girl in a Jasmine costume sparkles and bangles galore with harem pants, a full top (thank god, little kids showing their stomachs grosses me ou) and a sheer coat/dress overlay thingie at Disneyland once.

I told her that her outfit was pretty and the mother told me that she could barely get her to take it off. Kids like to dress up. I went to Disneyland as Belle several times.

  25. Cinderella doesn’t impress me. Call me when she gets girlfriend alone time with Pocahontas, Esmeralda or Meg… hell, Katie could probably benefit from some grrl power coaching from those three.

  29. parents can pay between 50 and 300 bucks to get their little princesses “makeovers” at Disneyland now which includes a hairstyling, princess dress of choice and makeup. Its a new thing as Disney World. I was just there a few days before the Cruises.

  31. Ned is female, and has been since before she was “Ned”…

Codzilla - “Josh” is Josh Hartnett, another guy other than Tom credited with the fathering of Suri. To me, it’s crazy, she looks just like Cruise, when she’s not looking just like Holmes.

  32. I love Suri, and the picture of her smiling up at Mickey is so sweet. The park is filled with little girls dressed up as their favorite princess, and they are adorable too. I took my daughter to Disney World over Christmas. Thank God I didn’t have to explain to her the special treatment Suri Cruise got. I wonder if it even occurred to Tom and Katie that it might be hurtful to other children to watch their daughter revel in her special treatment?

Several Disney employees told me that they get free admission for family members up to a set number 12 times a year.

    Diva:
So who was Ned before she was “Ned?”

  33. “You dont get perks working at Disney. Just free admission for you and your family and thats it. No line skipping or anything. They really crack down on that stuff. Im an ex employee I know.”

There are tons of perks for employees and their families. I know when I went (me, hubby and a couple we are friends with who’s daughters both worked at Disneyworld) we got tons of discounts. Let’s see…we stayed on-property in one of the Disney resorts, had park-hopper passes for 5 days, ate every meal in the parks, and bought tons of souvenirs with the 40% off employee discount. For all of that, for 2 adults for 5 days/4 nights our total expenditure was $540…an absolute STEAL.

And the other thing they told the girls when they quit was that they could keep their employee benefits if they came back to work just one day a year. Nice!!! They are both married now and have kids of their own and still take advantage of the perks from when they worked there 10 years ago because of the 1-day rule.

  34. BTW I don’t know why some of you insist on questioning Suri’s parentage. Are you blind? That child is a female mini-me of TC. I’m not a fan of his, but I can’t deny what is obvious. No DNA test needed to see that this child is unquestionably his!

  35. Diva: Thanks! And I agree, she doesn’t look anything like Hartnett. I suppose an argument could possibly be made for Chris Klein, but it’s a stretch. There’s no doubt Katie’s her mom, though, they’re nearly identical (at least to me).

  39. couple of things about this…
    1. It isn’t a special made dress. It is a dress that’s sold en mass at disney for all little princesses. If you go to disney, you’ll see a million of those princesses walking around.

    2. Anyone can live like a celebrity and skip the lines by hiring a disney guest relations person. It costs about $150/hr and you’ll never have to wait in line and you can usually get all the cool stuff taken care of no problem.

  40. It’s sad that these beautiful children could have pretty much anything in the world they wanted - apart from a normal life. I almost think it’s unhealthy, or certainly unfortunate. I would not want to be famous even if my life depended on it. Look at that poor child…it’s horrible. I really feel for their parents. Must be hard.
