Victoria Beckham started the Tracy Anderson Method when she was pregnant

Only Posh Beckham would look so miserable holding such an adorable puppy. Is that a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel? I think so. That’s how Vogue UK is identifying the dog as well. Apparently, the puppy’s name is DIGBY!!! Digby is everything. As for Posh… well, this is not her best editorial. They were aiming for, like, an English lady on some rainy country estate. Posh just looks bored. Thankfully, in her interview Posh talks about trying to fit in with the cool crowd in LA, which included training with Tracy Anderson. Oh, Posh. NO!

Victoria Beckham is doing double duty as the face of British Vogue’s August cover, as the title’s first subject to feature on two different covers of the same issue. Patrick Demarchelier shot Beckham for Vogue on location at an 18th-century rectory in Hastings, southeast England, with one cover depicting the designer against the backdrop of a leafy garden, wearing a Chanel coat and blouse, while the other pictures her cradling a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Digby, wearing a Prada dress and neckerchief.

British Vogue’s deputy editor Emily Sheffield interviewed Beckham for the accompanying story over the course of a few days, attending the grueling Barry’s Bootcamp workout in London with the designer, shopping for groceries with Beckham and on location at the Hastings shoot and at the Beckham family’s London home.

During the interview, the designer discusses turning 40 this year, saying: “I looked at it and said to myself, ‘I have four incredible children, an incredible husband, a business that’s doing very well. I’ve worked hard and achieved a lot. I don’t think I could have achieved much more.’ I wouldn’t be where I am without David. He gives me the security and encouragement to do what I do. I do the same for him.”

Beckham also dishes on her workout routines, which alongside the boot camps include training with Tracy Anderson. She related that Gwyneth Paltrow introduced her to Anderson, over dinner in Los Angeles. “’I had dinner in LA with Gwyneth Paltrow and Valentino, I said to Gwyneth that her body looked amazing and she introduced me to Tracy Anderson. I started when I was pregnant with Harper, it’s very challenging.”

Victoria also talked about how much she and her family enjoy living part of the time in Calfornia because they enjoy “the space, the can-do, the positive attitude, the freedom.” Good. I love those kinds of stories about foreigners finding a home in America and loving the whole American vibe. It’s refreshing because we get so much bad news from that subject.

As for the Tracy Anderson stuff… for non-pregnant women, Tracy prefers that you work out like two hours every day and consume only 1000 calories. I can’t even imagine how stupidly strict the Tracy Anderson Method is on pregnant women.

Meanwhile, I had chocolate covered raisins for breakfast.

    • Jaderu says:

      Ha! +1
Raisins are fruit. Still counts as a wholesome breakfast.

      • Kate2 says:

Yes! Fruit and the chocolate has milk, I’m assuming, so there’s your dairy right there.

        Its practically a health food!

        I love rationalizing.

    • Reece says:

      I plan on having cake.

    • P.J. says:

That’s ok @Clucky. I had a slice of pumpkin pie!

Eating whatever you want for breakfast is one of the only awesome parts of being an adult that we were all promised as kids would happen that actually came true 😄

    • Jaded says:

      I had popcorn!

    • Kate2 says:

I had my blood taken for a cholesterol test.

      So no breakfast.

      😉

I did have a nice healthy salad for lunch though. And I’m going running when I get home and having salad for dinner. After the shitfest I ate Sunday and Monday night (too many alcoholic drinks and bread, with no exercise, then I couldn’t run last night), I need to clear my body out and get my ass moving. I feel gross.

    • Katie says:

Yes well I had bacon,am cup of coffee, and an ice cream sandwich… Take that Tracey anderson

  2. Hazel says:

I was like, “Could it be Anna W has finally caved in?”

Nah. Anna is a cold b*tch, she would rather give a cover to Kim K than Posh.

    • Val says:

Haha I thought the same. But either way, American Vogue isn’t nearly as nice as British Vogue, so this is a better cover anyway.

    • Jedi says:

British Vogue is better than american anyway (especially post KimK). i hope someone tells Posh that.

  3. paranormalgirl says:

I had a protein shake at my desk. And I have no intention of working out today. I’m not in the mood. Maybe I’ll get a mani/pedi after my last appointment and then pack for the Bahamas. But 1000 calories and working out 2 hours a day. Pfffft.

  4. Tiffany27 says:

Her pregnancy workouts are actually pretty good. My friend has been doing them and she says she feels great. I still don’t trust TA though.

  5. P.J. says:

    *Snooze*

This is just the same old boring schpeel that Victoria gives in every.single.interview about how perfect her life, business, marriage (lol) and kids are (all moms are allowed that part).

An interview with Digby would have been more intersting 😂

    • Annaloo. says:

Aww.. I love VB. Now, anyway. I had written her off in the beginning, but I think she has a loopy side. Celebitchy, you guys should do an article about her crystals!

  6. Candy Love says:

I don’t get why they just don’t move back to LA they seem to really love it there. They fly from the UK to LA and back every other week or every other two weeks, they seem to have traveled less when they were living in LA.

  7. minnieder says:

I like Victoria, always have. She seems like a really involved and loving mom, and she’s never spoken negatively about David. Nice family!

    • Chris says:

I dig her too, she’s really grown on me. She’s never been a smiley face, so that’s fine, why should she be? She’s no Einstein, but so what? I do like her for not pretending to be anything other than she is; you know, no presumption that great fame confers great wisdom. In one interview she spoke of how great it feels to be absolutely on top of her subject (designing) when questioned……Having generally been mocked as a dim bulb, in this arena she’s loving being an expert.
I enjoy her delight at how things have worked out for her, she seems so refreshingly without notions that fashion will save the world.
I think if I were a sleb or even just had $$$$, I’d dress in her designs, I love the anti-Cavalli vibe of it all. (She’s doing something right: Marks and Spencer’s Limited Edition range is 50% VB ripoffs! Amazing.)
I am dashing out now to score Vogue, she does make me happy. 🙂

    • Enuff Said says:

I agree…she seems to be completely involved with her children…a great mum!! They seem so well behaved…adorable! Love to see the oldest son carrying Harper!

  8. Happy21 says:

I cannot even imagine this woman breaking a sweat let alone working out for 2 hours a day…lol 🙂

  9. Harriet says:

I’m all for America to have her and her plank of a husband. Please take them back for good?

  10. Becks says:

Kaiser, that pup is indeed a King Charles! I have a Blenheim, and they are the best dogs ever. Super sweet and loving. Posh looks great, but I am too distracted with the beautiful puppy to look at her other photographs!

    • Anne tommy says:

Is it a boy dog? One bitch in the photo is probably enough. She may be a warm and wonderful person but she doesn’t come across that way. Got to admire her for the way she has turned very little talent into mega bucks though. And her hubby was a good footballer not a great one : and his tightie whiteies and the high pitched voice and the tattoos – nope…

  11. Jennifer says:

I am just coming to comment on Digby. I love Him. My loyal companion Memphis looks just like him ,-)

  12. Green Is Good says:

Dingy should have got the cover alone. He don’t need no mannequins harshing his fur.

  13. Lady says:

I did her Method Mat dvd with both my pregnancies and still continue to do it. It sounds ludicrous if you believe her method is eating nothing and working out nonstop but it’s not. Not sure where that info came from?

  14. mystified says:

Isn’t the sign of a good trainer that you don’t have to workout 2 hours a day?

I mean if you require 2 hour daily workouts from your clients, about 75 percent of your suggestions could be completely ineffective and you’d still get results! The average person doesn’t have that kind of time or money to waste.

I workout a total of 4 to 5 hours a week taking intense circuit training and BOSU group classes at the YMCA supplemented with running on my own. My Y classmates are in amazing shape exercising 4-5 hours a week. In my mind our two trainers at the Y who work for peanuts are way better than the overpriced, overhyped Tracey Anderson.

    • Kate2 says:

I agree. I’d frankly rather take a few sessions with a trainer just to show me some good exercises and then take over from there on my own.

    • paranormalgirl says:

I run 5 days a week and only hit the gym before a race for some extra cardio. I eat healthy (loosely follow the Shred diet) and I’m in the best shape of my life at 50.

  15. itesetsyou says:

I wonder if she hasn’t gotten on American Vogue be/c of some row with Anna Wintour? Or maybe it’s the case of one Brit disliking another Brit?

Either way I like and admire her and will be buying a copy.

  16. ickythump says:

Feck sake she looks like kim kardashian on th front cover – why is her face always tripping her? With her life she shoud b th happiest woman on th planet

  17. Denise says:

Her brows are looking very Delevingne.

  18. candy corn says:

I love the Beckhams. They seem to really appreciate what they have and possess a good work ethic. Such a nice break from Goop and other celebrities who complain way too much.

  19. Sara says:

ugh. Lord. You’re pregnant–exercise, eat healthy; but TA workouts??? Dang!!
Enjoy your life. Don’t be brutal to baby and you, yo! Just take it easy and be nice to you both!! Continue being nice to your precious darn body that got you through all these years without putting some chains and pressure on having to ‘look’ a certain way for… whom exactly? Who gives a Sh*t what people say about you now at all–in 40 years, who is going to care? If you feel happy and healthy every day, that’s what matters, not a scale, not Tracy A’s dumb work-outs.
If you can be there to snuggle your babies and laugh with your family and smile–hell, you’re the most healthy sexy person in the world 😉
