Us Weekly: Beyonce has already contacted divorce lawyers, written a press release

bey3

Another week, another set of breakup/divorce rumors for Beyonce and Jay-Z. This is the cover of the current issue of Us Weekly, because I guess the tabloids are really and truly ON IT now, plus they figure “Beyonce” + “Divorce” = circulation. Imagine the field day the tabloids are going to have if and when Bey and Jay really do announce this split. Anyway, here are the basics of Us Weekly’s cover story:

Could Beyonce be a “single lady” once more? Now that the singer has finished the last of her On The Run U.S. tour dates with husband Jay Z, speculation about the couple’s marriage is at an all-time high. Fans are wondering if the spouses of six years will go the distance — but Beyonce is already making moves toward a split, sources reveal in the new issue of Us Weekly.

Insiders tell Us the music superstar, 32, has a plan of action in place for if/when she decides to call it quits with her rapper hubby, 44, dad to her 2-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy. One source says “she is done” after their remaining On The Run shows in Paris, France.

Rumors about the state of the couple’s union have been rampant ever since footage leaked of Bey’s younger sister, Solange, fighting with Jay Z in an elevator at the Standard Hotel after the May 5 Met Ball. The “Crazy in Love” singer has done her best to quiet the chatter with happy family pictures posted to Instagram, but insiders say things aren’t so rosy behind the scenes.

“Beyonce always ignored the cheating talk, but after the elevator fight, the floodgate of rumors opened. She doesn’t know what to do.”

Beyonce is reportedly “insecure” about Jay’s “wandering eye.” An insider says that Beyonce systematically eliminated for view anyone she deems to be her husband’s type. “She kept their circle tight to make sure no pretty girl could take his attention.”

One insider tells Us that Jay and Beyonce even have a draft of a divorce announcement ready for the Associated Press – if she decides to call it quits.

Beyonce’s escape plan: the week of the Met Gala, Beyonce started checking out new homes in Manhattan. “She’ll file for divorce in New York,” says an insider. “Lawyers are already involved.”

[From Us Weekly, online & print editions]

Sources also say that Bey has turned to Gwyneth Paltrow for support and advice on how to keep the split amicable, plus Bey is leaning on her mom a lot these days. Tina is telling Beyonce to stay with Jay though. And Jay is reportedly “freaking out” because he’s realized how much power she will have if she leaves him. Oh, and Us Weekly says Beyonce and Jay were going to go to Kim Kardashian and Kanye’s wedding but they decided to cancel after the Met Gala mess.

Other sources say that while Beyonce makes up her mind about what her next step will be, she’s been “incredibly invested in maintaining” the happy-family image. Speaking of, Beyonce posted a bunch of new family photos on her Tumblr. She and Jay took Blue Ivy go-karting.

    Ho-hum. That is all.

    • Sammy says:

going through with the divorce would be a really dumb move on her part if Jay didn’t cheat. there is no one on her level and imagine all of the gossip that would come out of her life when she starts dating. Jay gave her more power and control over their image.

      • FLORC says:

I think there’s piles of evidence and speculation that he did cheat. And lots of women who could come out of the woodwork for a paid interview.

And I disagree about the power. Beyonce’s image floundered when her father was no longer strongarming it. She found her own pace though in time. And she’s extremely powerful in her own right. She can support her own lifestyle and her child just fine. If she’s not happy with him and doesn’t even want to put up a facade then she should get divorced. Not only if he cheated.

And these both seem to keep their lives locked down from gossip. Their engagement, wedding, personal life. It’s all private and even the “leaks” are not credible. If something comes out she’ll know where it came from. And i’m betting she has dirt too. Neither will talk unless they don’t fear retaliation.

      • Gigi says:

Very true. Regardless of any negative public opinion about her, it’s gonna be hard to find someone on her level of superstar, especially with the powerhouse couple deal she built with Jay. Any other guy standing next to her even as a boyfriend will simply wilt in comparison for that reason alone, and same for when/if Jay dates, post-divorce.

    • diva says:

Nobody is talking about her album anymore so I truly believe all of this is to hype up the vmas and the hbo show.

      • FLORC says:

With recent news about the “Bang, Bang” video of her singing it to JayZ i’m on board with that theory. It’s pure publicity.

I think this couple lives very seperate lives and have side pieces. They’re not seperating. It’s too lucrative.

  2. jujoki says:

Meh, I seriously think they’ll stay together.

  3. Dani2 says:

I’ll believe it when I see it.

  4. Leaflet says:

Haha. It’s either it is or it ain’t. I’m tired of this story. Alert me when Jay gets caught hiding his funds, so that Beyoncé won’t go after them in the divorce. Then Beyoncé will throw on another tired @ss weave and start rapping on stage about how she was wronged, and Jay Z will hit us with another album for the hive to dance to: “99 problems, and this b!tch is one” .

    • JennySerenity says:

Hah! Probably the most accurate prediction I’ve heard. I used to really love Bey before she hooked up w/ that thug Jay Z. Great club and pop tunes, and she freaking killed it in Dream Girls. Since hooking up with Jay, I think she’s really degraded herself simply by being w/ someone of his low caliber. Which is funny, bc both of them try to scrub his past by being the most over the top, elitist, fake snobs since Kimye. I wouldn’t be at all unhappy to see Bey leave him in the dust.

      • Leaflet says:

        @JennySerenity,
That’s interesting that you enjoyed Beyoncé’s acting in Dream Girls. I think she is a terrible actor, if she can even be called that. It’s my belief that she only gets roles because of who she is rather than talent. Now Queen Latifah can actually act as well as Jennifer Hudson. Imo, Beyoncé is just as gutter as Jay Z. She plagiarizes songs and dances all the time and over sexualizes the dance routines to make them hers. Other famous musicians plagiarizing music is not an excuse for Beyoncé to do it. She is really no more talented or credible than he is. Beyoncé was only tolerable for me before the original Destiny Child members were kicked out of the group. Truthfully, since then, I’ve detested her. I think they both send teenagers the wrong message. The most annoying thing, for me, is that she says she’s a feminist yet objectifies herself in her music. They both turn my stomach.

      • T.C. says:

Yes JayZ was a thug but turned into a really good businessman. He didn’t just pick an empty minded bimbo as a wife he picked someone at his equal level. If they divorce he will continue to build up his empire as a producer and investor.

I think he is a model of how to get poor young men involved in crime to shift their focus to legitimate business and good citizens.

I’m kind of not sure about Beyoncé. She has relied so much on first her father and then Jay to manage her. Also like all females that depend on their looks or sexuality, time is not their friend. Someone younger and prettier is always there waiting to replace you.

      • Lucinda says:

I know absolutely nothing about Jay other than he is married to Bey. I’ve never listened to his music and knew vaguely he was a rapper. What I’m saying is that I don’t know anything about his past so I have nothing to hold against him. I find it very interesting that so many people assume once a gangster, always a gangster. I think it is quite believable that he was a thug but isn’t anymore. I’m sure there is some social commentary here about racism and holding onto stereotypes instead of viewing a person based on the present instead of the past….I don’t know. I just find it interesting. That’s all.

      • Anna says:

LOL @Jenny do you not realize how long her and Jay have been together? When she was putting out all those songs she was with Jay…

    • Leaflet says:

      @ Lucinda,
No, my judgments are based on the behaviors and actions that he has displayed while in the music industry, nothing more. Truth is, if a person claims to have changed, yet constantly makes songs about violence, denigrates women and promotes his former “glory” days”: the “street life”, then he looses my respect all together. That person is a person lacking in integrity. No, Jay Z and rappers in the industry that promote an equally negative message aren’t the only ones sending negative images out to teens, but Jay Z knows that he contributes to a “thug life image”, which is adding to the hurt in the community. Truth is, his music and image negatively effects tons of young teens that listen to it, albeit he refuses to change his message and image to promote a more positive light. Yes, parents need to step up to the plate and do more to parent their kids, but the reality is this: a lot of urban kids ingest negative rap just like Jay Z’s and try to imitate the art –which is something that can’t be denied. That’s where the problem is. I respect positive underground rappers that promote education and actually create music of substance instead of rapping about how much they have and how many whores they got. I am the same complexion as Jay Z, and I realize that this dude and a lot of high profile rappers have a negative impact on their communities. I remember the days when rappers like the Fugees, Wu-Tang Clan, and OutKast actually promoted getting an education and staying drug free through their music. I’m sorry, I don’t respect this man for making music that adds to the negativity of his own community. It has nothing to do with race but more to do with calling out the things that contribute to the moral and integral decline of young kids today.

      • Petrichor says:

        + 1 000 000

“It has nothing to do with race but more to do with calling out the things that contribute to the moral and integral decline of young kids today.”

        Well said, Leaflet.

      • Anna says:

@Leaflet to you “thuglife=typical black life” you might as well come out and say it instead of trying to disguise it just like people did when talking about Richard Sherman.
Don’t bring up Wutang, the Fugees or Outkast to try and prove your point since you clearly know nothing about them. Their thinking coincides with Jay Z. Don’t speak for a community, lifestyle or genre you know nothing about.

      • Leaflet says:

        @ Anna,
I am black. I don’t act like a thug. The problem is because he’s successful, you feel he’s untouchable. I am going to say it the way I feel, and I have a right to. You are the one who has no idea what you are talking about. And No the Fugees did NOT have a “thug life ” image. Obviously, you’ve never heard any of their albums. Stop the stupidity. The worship of these musicians that create images that glorify bad character effects young BLACK teens. Thug life= stupidity for everyone who promotes it. Cut the crap. Every black person doesn’t think like you. Clearly, I am the more observant one, and you are stuck in denial. I notice what is hurting my community and the “thug life image” promoted by rappers is one of them. I said it. Now what.

  5. Coco says:

They were/are/will be boring, bland and fake no matter what in my opinion. NEXT.

  6. weirswalker says:

Sick to death of every picture with gang signs……

    • Leaflet says:

That’s the ‘peace’ sign, haha. Lmao 🙂

      • An says:

        Ohmygod @Leaflet! BAHAHAHAH! 😂

      • K says:

        LMAO. 😆

      • deftie says:

No it is not. When you are doing the peace sign, you have the back of your hand turned to your face. As far as I know this sign means lady parts. But maybe she just wants the peace sign to look cool and she does not know about the other meaning.

It is like pentagram or “the devil sign”. Pentagram with one point up is “good”, pentagram with two points up is “bad”. “The devil sign” with the back of your hand turned to your face somehow acceptable, with the back of your hand turned to the other people far worse. Or really famous cross. Normally it is sign of good, upside down it is sign of satanism.

Therefore, if you know only one meaning of some sign, use it the right way, don’t try to look cool and send the wrong message, if you didn’t want to.

      • Leaflet says:

Interesting. By my way the side ways ‘peace’ is still ‘peace’ or the sign is deuces, meaning goodbye. I throw up the ‘deuces’ at times to say goodbye. I am always joking when I do it. I am not in a gang or on drugs neither do I have a criminal history or hang around lawless people. Also, I am Atheist and don’t believe in a god or a devil. Those two mythical beings are just that to me: fantastical. I’ve never heard of a pentagram, but there are so many hidden societies. I guess we both differ in opinion on it. Beyoncé and Jay Z are so crass, I wouldn’t put it past them to believe in Pentagrams. Lmao.

      • deftie says:

Well, pentagram (maybe I am spelling it wrong, this is how it is spelled in my language) is a star with five points. With one point up it is a symbol of protection (very very old symbol, wiccans borrowed the idea). With two points it symbolyses the male goat, which is actually devil.

It is usually always the same. You have some symbol which is for some good stuff (mythological, or just victory (I think this is the original meaning for the peace sign) or any other). You twist it somehow and you get twisted meaning.

Btw, I am not in the criminal gang or don’t hang around lawless people. I actually listened to metal and this is how I learned some stuff (e.g . which sign of “devil horns” is worse).

      • K says:

        @Deftie

No, that’s the peace sign. I could do a Google search of celebs doing the peace sign in 3 seconds and find that 80% do it that way. It’s a cultural thing – “cooler” than the regular peace sign. I don’t think anyone (or a lot of people) really connects it with a pentagram when they’re ‘throwing up the deuces’.

      Ummm…

  7. T.C. says:

Wait what? Only married for 6 years? Thought they’ve been married for like 10 years or something with how invested the hive is with their staying together. The filing in New York means she doesn’t want a 50:50 split of their property which is interesting.

    • An says:

They’ve been together for 12 or so years. Anyways, I’ll believe it when I see it, just like every other piece of gossip.

      • T.C. says:

        Thanks @AN.
The article said they have been married for only 6 years and I didn’t know they were an item before marriage. LOL shows how little many of us knew about Jay and Bey since they used to keep their private life just that.

  8. Kat says:

Am I being overly pissy for feeling irritated that Beyoncé hogged the front page and that Robin Williams got pushed to the side lines? I realise it’s been a whole 5 DAYS *cough*, but geez, we’re still mourning over the loss of a legend and she still has to have the limelight?! I’m so over this disingenuous broad and thirst for attention!

  9. OriginallyBlue says:

I kind of wonder if they divorce, who will she date after. They are a big name couple and I cannot see her downgrading to some regular guy.

    • QQ says:

I kinda think she should go Moneyed civilian, or Behind the scene Industry type, a la American Citizen laura Jean Poon.. This would also be good for her massive ego, cause let’s face it, she is not gonna find a match money/profilewise? Unless she dates in other fields/Russian Oligarchs? And also if cheating is truly the issue then Hollywood or Athlete beau is NOT gonna solve it either… But a Prettier dude with money, in the wings? That Might! ( Yeah I also dont think that IF She gets divorced, she get married again until way way late in life!)

But also let’s dissect this on the real: If they both get some on the side and benefit so much from the image and partnership, and are already living separate without splitting assets: What Exactly is to be gained by divorcing? I dont doubt they could stay like separate and whatnot, and coparent and take joint vacays, but seriously these are pragmatic Eyes-on-the-prize types the sheer number of songs and catalog they wouldnt be able to perform together or referencing each other alone would keep em together… LOL

    • Mia V. says:

She’ll marry Kim Kardashian and they will have the best Instagram relationship ever.

    • HatetheletterK says:

If she a Jay Z split, it’s only a matter of time before Kanye will un-Kartrashian himself, LOL.

  10. Ksmit100 says:

This whole divorce thing seems fishy to me. This is a woman who dropped an entire album amidst rumors of how the whole production was a mess. I can’t help but think this potential divorce somehow plays into their documentary and we will get to see the reconciliation on HBO.

  11. Kiki says:

It is amazing, that celebrity dish of their personal live are made public into the spectrum. I am not saying that Bey and Jay are not public but these stories are just served to us like turkey for Thanksgiving. I find this disheartening and downright pathetic.

We are so consumed with their lives not because we don’t worry about our own lives, and I am sure all are but nosy news media (yes I mean entertainment tonight, access Hollywood , extra and many entertainment news outlets) gives us every detail moment of these celebrities’ lives that we the public are aware of as if we should know. Now I don’t know about you, I may read celebitchy a lot ( to be honest I love everyone’s comments) but is anyone aren’t a bit concerned about these high profile people of whether they are sick, pregnant, winning recognition or death or just love to see celebrities wither like a bug?

    • stellax2 says:

I agree with your comment. I read and participate in cb wholeheartedly. I find some of the conversations insightful, personal and honest. I think as a society are now trained to delight in someone’s pain, tragedy or downfall. It’s very nihilistic .

And i’ve got to add, if anyone has suggested this I apologize, that maybe bey and jay paid Solange to cause a scene to extricate themselves from attending kimye’s carnival of bs. And the very secretive couple concludes w hotel and former hotel employee to release tape. The way PR operates and the lengths celebrities will go to generate buzz, whether negative or positive, are at times amazingly transparent or eye roll worthy.

Also, the real goal keep focus on them, tour, etc., thus making more money.
I’m exhausted of hearing about these two. Divorce, stay together, have a rea or fake marriage, be my guest.

  12. Arlene says:

Wow, Beyonce really looks like her Mum on that cover.

  13. eliza says:

I have to laugh that after all this time, the press is still trying to cover up that Jay Z and Beyonce simply did not want to go to Kim and Kanye’s wedding. It had nothing to do with the Met Gala fight. It has nothing to do with impending divorce. It had nothing to do with anything other than they did NOT want to go and they didn’t. Simply as that.

  14. TheCountess says:

    These two are beyond boring.

  15. Black Veronica Lake says:

I like Beyonce before she married Jay. I will love her afterwards. She’s a talented woman. Sweet Dreams, Ring On It, Diva, Halo, and many, many other hits. Beyonce is skinny again!

  16. Josefa says:

Who the heck would seek support and advice from Goop for anything?

  17. nony says:

Media oh media : first it was jayz that wants out of the marriage Now is Beyonce that wants out. Media really want them to breakup.

  18. fee says:

No of fence to Blue Ivy, but to her selfish mother Beyonce, enough with the pics of her daughters head from behind. It is not like they are in public with the paparazzi and she shields her kid, this is her account, you don’t want people to see her face, no problem, we’re OK with that but how many pics can she post of Ivy’s back shots? It is so effin pretentious, just don’t post any pics already.

    • Altariel says:

Thanks for saying what I was thinking. Cut the bs already, don’t post pics of her at all then….happy family outing days with a faceless child, uh huh.

      • Fee says:

You’re so right, faceless child, scary. I don’t get her point? She is trying to create an interest, who cares, for someone who is practically naked on her tours, she sure had zero pics of her pregnancy. The lil girl looks like Jay, she is cute, but no one is freking out to get a glimpse, get over yourselves. Even the effin Royals show pics of George and I am pretty sure he rates higher in the delusional Hollywood scale

    • Nev says:

      WORD.

    • Sozual says:

      I Agree with you.

    • mikeal says:

She probably doesn’t post pics of her daughter face because they are less likely to be republished by other media outlets. She does show images of Blue Ivy face at her concerts I guess the idea is that it is “special” for the fans who are willing to pay to see her perform.

  19. NewWester says:

I thought Goop and Beyonce were not on speaking terms? The rumour was that Goop and JayZ had been getting “cozy”? Now she is turning to Goop for support?
I honestly do not believe that a couple as private as Beyonce and JayZ will do such a drastic change and let all this info come out.
This is the same couple that denied dating and getting married.
They have too much to lose in separating

  20. Emmalinasaurus says:

See, I don’t know. They are so pr savvy, that this just doesn’t seem right. I don’t think the marriage is for real at all, but they enjoy each others company and have a decent arrangement. I see him admitting to cheating, her having a trial break, forgive him, tell all interview and come back tour.

They are both far too invested in their careers to walk away from this contract. They love the power and the credibility they give one another, that will be tough for either one to walk away from.

Basically, I think homegirl has learned a lot from the klan and sees how manipulating the media sells magazines which can cross over into records. I would not be surprised if she has kris jenner on speed dial. They are a brand, and every brand needs a re-vamp.

  21. rudy says:

Bey + Jay = Business. Has been from the beginning. This was NEVER a real couple. Ever. Stop falling for the hollywood celebrity machine propaganda.

  22. Kim1 says:

    HaHaHa
Thanks to the media for making the tour a success.Keep up the good work.”Of course sometimes s##t goes down when there is a billion dollars on a elevator”
Next remix Bey and RiRi on “Blow”
    Bow Down

  23. Gina says:

Who gets custody of the surrogate child I wonder?

  24. Blythe says:

Her finger tattoo still seems intact. It definitely looked like, at one point, that she was getting it removed

  25. mellie says:

And their ticket sales continue to sky rocket as a result of this BS, this is all a bunch of crap to sell tickets to their show…all so everyone goes to their show to ‘see if there is trouble in paradise’…
